I am unironically so hyped for that sequel. I played the game multiple times over the years (no 100% because I enjoy being sane) and it is so good. If the do the sequel well it could be one of the best RPG's on the switch.
It's getting a sequel? Omg finally. I LOVED this game when I first got it, I reached god level in all jobs and was so sad when finished everything in it and decorated every house. I tried the mobile game which was nice but the whole gacha system did bring down it's enjoyment.
Fantasy life was one of my favorite games on the 3ds and I had all but lost hope we'd get more from the IP, and then Level-5 popped off with three new games in the latest direct and I lost my goddamn mind. So hyped!
@@blottedcenter4348 Fantasy life i : the girl who steals time (on nintendo switch) It was announced to release in the end of 2023 but it got delayed to summer of 2024.
My friends and I lost our collective shit when we saw the new Fantasy Life, we played the shit out of the first one together. Early on we did different roles and trade stuff with each other till we started maxing every job.
I've been playing Fantasy Life for years, and seeing someone not only talk about it, but talk about it positively makes me so frigging happy. I adore this game.
Genuinely some of the most fun I've ever had gaming. Very few games have been able to absolutely consume me like Fantasy Life. Dragon's Dogma being one of them, of course.
This game goes hard. It's centered around co-op play to craft and trade for things you can't make easily by yourself, but you can solo just fine and there's a lot of NPC companions to unlock if you need a combat buddy (sadly pets are trash at combat though). I like that the game lets you wander into bosses that are out of your league. You will get your shit pushed in if you are unprepared, but you can absolutely win if you are patient enough to grind them down and understand how the fight works. It'll take a long ass time, but you can do it.
Yo crazy this game is finally being remembered, genuinely one of the best games ever made, I love slice of life/battle type games, only thing it’s missing is marrying one of a dozen cute npc that you meet in the game from one of the lives 😂😭
This is the only game aside from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate that I’ve clocked in hundreds of hours. This game is a gem, I wish more people played it. And coming back to it just a couple weeks ago on a new character, this video was fun to watch.
I don't get recommended fantasy life videos often cause none really catch my eye, but your video was really fun to watch! I also can't wait for the sequel, I've spent close to 1000 hours on FL, so I really hope the new one is just as good!
fantasy life is one of my favorite games of all time. my friend who grew up playing it introduced it to me and ive been obsessed with it since. we're both super hyped for the sequel!!!!
Ive lost track of the number of times I replayed fantasy life over and over as a child. This game is literally my childhood and I lost my mind when I saw they are making a 2nd one
Strangely enough, this game felt like a single player FFXIV to me. In both games you can grab every single class and switch between them at will. I have fond memories of it, I remember picking it up when I was going through a hard time. The good vibes were nice.
Overwhelmingly hyped that this is getting a sequel sometime this year. Hoping that the multiplayer is super fun. Also it seems like there are gonna be two more lives based on the second trailer Level 5 posted, so that's exciting!
One of the few games that did Single/Multiplayer right. If you didn't have friends (or didn't want to team with strangers), you could solo it. It'd take longer, and much more of a challenge, but it never felt impossible. It naturally encourages single players to 100% everything in the game. If you DID have friends to play with though, you approached things less meta-mindedly. You would stick to your favorite classes, argue with your friends over materials and resource gathering hunts, and just went into fights with whatever you had in hand and hoped for the best. This playstyle would often satisfy players faster than the single players and would make them naturally see the game as "finished" before 100%ing the game... but it NEVER led into arguments online over which things are better meta-wise (gameplay, equipment, class, etc). THAT'S how it should be. As if single players and multiplayers are playing completely different games, but never feel like they're missing out on something because of it.
This is the only 3DS game I waited for in advance. It looked very fun and cozy and when the game came out it was everything I hoped for. DLC is great too. Going to go Creator rank everything before the second game comes out. Glad to see you playing such a good game.
Bought this with DLC, twice now. Usually grind woodcutter, miner and carpenter first. With rogue, mage and alchemist as second highest. Even clothes get some love.
Not to mention the OST is composed by Nobuo Uematsu. For those of you who don't know who that is, he's worked on several Final Fantasy game soundtracks. I love him. He's my favorite composer.
Absolute amazing game! Always loved how you use the cave music from this for your videos. Can't wait to see the sequel!! Not sold on how the reveal graphics looked but I have faith in them!
I remember when this launch I didn't think much about this game because it didn't seem like much but I decided to give it a try. And holy shit this game went all-in in everything and I loved it. Your video reminded me of what a good time I spent with it.
bro I loved the game when it came out. I hope I'm now not too old for it. I loved the fact that you could have "cook" as main class and still wouldn't miss out on any of the fun!
Unironically my favourite rpg. I used to play this with my brother all the time. Story was cute but only decent, classes are awesome and so is the crafting that comes with them. The DLC is godlike game design, you get a endgame dungeon 2 new class levels for every class with new moves recipes and bosses that accompany the last rank up quest. 500 hours on this game and i regret not a single second, matter of fact im about to put in some more rn.
Before DLC: such a cute wholesome game DLC: good god the difficulty went up tenfold. At least the new game allows 4 player co-op, having 4 combat classes but only 3 multiplayer didn't make sense. The best part in the original game was that I could bring the non-combat Life NPCs with us and they help us fight.
I love that this was recent. I randomly looked up RPG games with good crafting and found out I slept on this game 8 years ago. Correcting that now to prepare for the sequel!
Had to go and watch this video after you using the soundtrack in the Dragon’s Crown video. I have absolutely no faith they’ll do a good job with Fantasy Life 2 but man am I hyped for it. Will be saving your flow chart for future use 😂
This game absolutely slaps. I think it's one of the best games I've played. It's got it all - crafting, hack and slash combat system, incredible story, and hours and hours of game play
Loved this game but I lost when i moved, such a dman shame to because no matter where i look i can't find another copy. gonna get the new Switch one for sure though.
Fantasy Life (especially with friends) is definitely one of the games that got me into gaming and I still compare trailers of new games to fantasy life. So yes I am very hyped for the new one !
I have beaten this game at least four times, and I have put in over 500 hours of gameplay in just one of my characters and a few hundred in previous characters. I love this game. I am so excited for the sequel. My favorite feature is decorating my houses. I can't get enough of this game.
I do not know who you are, legit never heard of you before. But you talked about fantasy life, shit made a video about it. I'm following with the notifs.
I love this game so much, was searching for a Monster hunter type game for 3DS and found this back in the day Then they made a horrible mobile version and now because of your video I saw that they are making a new one but it looks almost just like a remake with a new story I think, hope they port to PC
I'm preparing to move and I found my long lost bag full with my DS/3DS goodies. I'm so psyched to pick up this game again, especially with a sequel coming. Thank god I never throw anything away
love fantasy life. I think I have 1 or 2 more crafting jobs to finish ranking fully up.. but that was many years ago. Can't be bothered now. Was a blast of a game though
I really love that in this game you can play it so differently and still everyone enjoys it. You could legit just take one life the entire time. I usually spend like 20 hours unlocking all of the lives and leveling them all up at the same time at first and then blitzing through with paladin. If it’s your first playthrough you shouldn’t skip the tutorials for each class you really learn it and the NPCs get to be more lifelike and mean way more to you with way more depth. I like to get all the combats before I start really exploring outside of Castele so I have long range, magic and swords and can gather and can use all the materials to level up gear once I’m back. That way it’s easy to keep most on or around the same level. Paladin and blacksmithing are usually the ones that stay the highest and easiest to level the fastest and fishing is usually the last if I don’t bother to remember to constantly stop and fish everywhere. I do love the fishing and cooking classes way more than I ever thought I would. I adore this game and I still pick up my 3ds to play it. I have high hopes for the new fantasy life but I feel like it’s trying to be more like animal crossing when they truly cracked the code with this one. Also if you’re playing this goes the first time: don’t undervalue getting your own horse. Renting a horse is only helpful to get you places quickly as the return to stable as soon as you get off of it but once you can own your own horse-do it. As you progress you’ll start getting “bounties” which are quests of like killing a certain enemy and then you have to drag the bounty box back to the city to the bounty guy but the box will despawn if it takes any damage. BUT if you have a horse you can drag it back with the horse and it won’t despawn if it gets hit on the way back. Super helpful to know that and I didn’t for my first few playthroughs. Also if you like this try Ever Oasis on 3DS. Same type of game play and so much fun. Really didn’t get the hype it deserved as I think it released after or right before the switch came out.
100% includes: * - Max Level * - Max Rank in all Lifes * - Max Level in all Skills - Max Dosh - Capped Play Time ** - All Bliss Challenges completed - Auto+ unlocked for all crafts * - All 333 NPC Requests completed - All 63 recruitable NPC allies (+3 pets) at max Friendship * Tasks I have completed ** I have completed all Bliss challenges except the visitors challenges, thankfully, you do not need any visitors / multiplayer challenges to unlock all Bliss rewards. I am playing a second time, this time on an emulator, where I intend to complete all starred tasks I noted above plus Auto+ recipes and maybe will try to have max friendship (need to research this and see the most effective way to make this happen). Max play time and Dosh isnt super important to me, but the max dosh part should be easily doable with crafting, some of the late game recipes can net alot of money.
Fun fact about dragon fights: if you access the menu while they do their super attack at half health, they will still do the attack, but you won't take any damage. I used that extensively on the gold dragon because paralysis was horrible. It works on other attacks too, but the dragon supers are the easiest to read in time.
It’s 2024 and I miss playing this. Nothing comes close to scratching that very particular itch. Still a couple of months away from the new one on Switch.
I have spent waaaaaay too much time in this game. Like, Max out every life plus DLC. I nearly lost my mind at the announcement of the new one coming to Switch. I’m excited to play it!
My second favorite game of all time after Zelda BOTW!! I have played this game for hours on the 3DS and absolutely love it!! I cannot wait for the sequel! Great video!
Awesome to see this I started trying to get the game to 100% for a while. And then decided to make it hareder by getting the dlc xD I always played mage main, cause I felt it was crazy op because of the heal and different attacks (also love mages what can I say). And I didnt touch that dragin until I was like maybe level 60-80 xD I am way too scared to die, even though I have 100 revives... But yeah, amazing to see this and also so excited about Fantasy Life 2
I remember just picking this game up on a whim in at an ebgames cause it was on sale and holy shit I kid you not i spent hours playing this game it was so satisfying leveling everything to max level and I wish we had more news on when the sequel was gonna come out.
Yes!!!! Im so glad to see someone still is talking about this. It was my childhood game on the 3DS. I used to have my game but I broke my 3ds.. worst day ever. It was the only game I didnt have a physical copy of. One of my goals was to buy it again once I became an adult but it seems by the time that happens they wont sell the 3ds anymore or this game.
You can play it on the Citra emulator. Even download the DLC for it too. The eShop's closed, so I don't think you can buy the DLC legitimately anymore.
I always teased that title "get a life" me and my brother found it funny, it does take a long time if you focus on more then one. Although if you only like a few like two or three talents, then it ain't too time consuming xD
this game is quite literally why i am getting a switch. i was obsessed with the DS version (and still return to it every now and then). i don’t play games much anymore so i haven’t felt much need to buy a switch, but the upcoming sequel is swiftly changing that 😅
I would say, probably, Paladin into Miner into Blacksmith, so you can craft high-end tools to make all the other lifestyles a breeze to level (which probably isn't how the game works but w/e)
Yoooo I got this game on my 3DS way back when! I remember grinding the shit out of it on long car rides while my siblings waited to play it as well. I’m really excited for the sequel.
Fantasy Life is getting a sequel on Switch. Can't believe I forgot to mention that. I started recording this video before the announcement but still.
I am unironically so hyped for that sequel. I played the game multiple times over the years (no 100% because I enjoy being sane) and it is so good. If the do the sequel well it could be one of the best RPG's on the switch.

So if you can't have a life while playing the first, do you need to have (no life)² to play the sequel?
WHAT?! The moment I saw this video I was planning to comment that it's a tragedy we haven't gotten a sequel. Heavens be praised!
Fantasy life was one of my favorite games on the 3ds and I had all but lost hope we'd get more from the IP, and then Level-5 popped off with three new games in the latest direct and I lost my goddamn mind. So hyped!
FINALLY PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT THIS GAME.
I've been playing this game since 2014 and I am so happy it's getting a sequel.

Why wife and I did the same things. Good times.
I had to max things out on my own because my brother never wanted to play it, it was very time consuming...

My god I forgot just how panic-inducing the low health alert in this game is. Other than that, the vibes in this game are 100% chill and cozy.

You can play it on the Citra emulator. Even download the DLC for it too. The eShop's closed, so I don't think you can buy the DLC legitimately anymore.
The fact that these are the same guys who made Rogue Galaxy, a childhood-defining game for me, blows my mind.
I always teased that title "get a life" me and my brother found it funny, it does take a long time if you focus on more then one. Although if you only like a few like two or three talents, then it ain't too time consuming xD
this game is quite literally why i am getting a switch. i was obsessed with the DS version (and still return to it every now and then). i don’t play games much anymore so i haven’t felt much need to buy a switch, but the upcoming sequel is swiftly changing that 😅
this game is my childhood i miss it so much
I would say, probably, Paladin into Miner into Blacksmith, so you can craft high-end tools to make all the other lifestyles a breeze to level (which probably isn't how the game works but w/e)
Yoooo I got this game on my 3DS way back when! I remember grinding the shit out of it on long car rides while my siblings waited to play it as well. I’m really excited for the sequel.
This game is such a treasure, managed to get on one safe file every job on God rank.
The reward for achieving this is really convenient
omg this gives me flashbacks, i had so fun playing the game which there was a good part 2 of it :c
I miss this game, I was disappointed when i found out the sequel was a mobile game until they announced the switch sequel.
If I was asking butterflies about my mental health that means things have gone south
im so glad the game has been getting more attention ever since the fantasy life i announcement
OH!! That's why you're using the Fantasy life music in your videos
