39/55. I thought I had my mnemonics down but I keep messing up countries with the same letter...Algeria vs. Angola and Somalia and Sudan for example. Back to the drawing board!
Got them all right except for the small island groups, which I question should be considered part of Africa. Actually neither should Madagascar, the depth of the sea between Africa and that island is as much as 10,000 feet, hardly part of the continent, it would not connect in an ice age as Britain does with the mainland, and neither would those small island groups. they are not part of the continental shelf, they are separate islands.
Africa is hard. I didn't get any of the little islands, forgot Lesotho and didn't know Malawi or Western Sahara. Mispronounced Burkina Faso (might still have it wrong.) Gambia is technically called "The Gambia". It is a dark continent in my brain.
