    Good morning MayMay and Shannon,
Just came across this little video, and I have to say, every time I watch your videos I get the incentive to create....love love LOVE watching you...thank you so much for all your inspiration and creative ideas💡...I started paper crafting when the pandemic started and I have been hooked ever since❣️🤗

Thanks for all this, especially demonstrating why to sort by size instead of sorting by color. 💃✅

I have found over the years that storing my scraps with the full size sheets in a clear sheet protector really helps me use them up, rather than in a mixed bin. My studio rule is use the smallest piece to do the job and pull your scrap first. You have so many great ideas for using scraps - Bravo to you Maymay!! You always inspire me!!

Yes, this series is helping me quite a lot. After watching the first couple of your stash buster videos I made some cards then needed to get a grip on all the scraps. I built a bin out of mat board scraps to hold project folders of scraps which are separated by color rather than size. I decorated the bin with those printed papers that I never thought I'd use.

I square up my scrap pieces before I store them (that is, I trim off jagged edges and areas that have die cuts in them) which keeps them from tangling when stacked in a storage bin.

You, sweet lady, are the Marie Kondo of craft supply organization. Marie helped me clear out my closets - you are helping me get through my scraps and paper I’ve had for 5 or 6 years. About 99% of what I make is for charity - your “ministry” continues through us. God has blessed you!

I have two lateral file drawers filled with scraps, one is just cardstock assorted by color and half of one is specialty scraps assorted by color and the other is patterned paper assorted by color. Since I've organized it in the file cabinet I have found myself using it more. Thanks so much for sharing your tips and tricks for using them.

I love your scrap busting ideas in this series ❤ When I saw the papers lined up in like size piles, I thought, you have to make bookmarks with those strips!!! It's something to think about for maybe new crafters who do not have many tools. Or, it's just good old fun for crafters of all levels. I like to stamp and alcohol color images or patterns on the strips to make bookmarks.

I love the stash busting videos!!! I try to be frugal and this helps me feel like I'm not throwing money in the trash. I like having some things precut to make crafting quicker. Sometimes I only have a very few minutes to make a card.
    * I make "card kits " to assemble when I have free time. I have been know to take cricut die cuts to Dr appointments and assemble them while I wait. (Lol) I have to wait in the car for children at sports practice so it is a good use of my time and I'm saving gas not driving home and back to school. I feel like this is a win win. Thank you again

Given me ideas to make ahead when I am let’s say, watching movie/ball game with husband or guests not in my craft area of house and I can just take punches and I can keep busy accomplishing tasks instead of just thinking about not being able to accomplish tasks while I sit and watch TV.

I was a demonstrator for 9 years and had file folders holding single color scraps next to solid 8.5x11 sheets. If I had 60 different colors, I also had 60 different file folders. I LOVE your idea to pre-cut various different patterns, dies, and punches. I’m on a stash busting roll so this technique will be added to my task at hand. Thank you for sharing!

    Still lovin' this series! ♡♡♡
I keep my scraps in trays...approx 8 1/2 x 11...organized by color. The trays have a lip on them... that's where I have put a label with the name of the scrap color. The trays just get stacked inside each other.
I always go to my trays first. But I have never thought of pulling out my scraps and putting them in piles to use for different things. This is fantastic!! Keep these awesome ideas coming, ladies!! They are grand!

I only have a bin for black and white. Colored card stock scraps stay with the pack they came from for color coordinating. Same with designer paper. I use my scraps the same way, only I keep my die cuts in plastic photo cases. I just label the cases (flowers, butterflies, hearts, words, etc.) Works great.

I keep a lot of my solid cardstock in a storage bench made to hold file folders. Each color has 2 folders, the first holds whole sheets and the second holds scraps of that color. Super easy to always check for a scrap large enough for my project before grabbing a new sheet. My patterned scraps go into 'Bin'.

I do have a expandable plastic carry case with separate pockets that fit 12 x 12 paper that I’ve had for years! Lol (I seriously need to go through ALL my scraps) I have a black, white, blue, green, red, pink, yellow, Kraft, etc. where I store my most used left over scraps. I also have separate plastic sleeves that also hold 12 x 12 paper where I store my different projects that I’ve either completed or are in working process. This way I have everything handy when I go to complete that particular project. To make a long story short…I’m just running out of room in my craft room. I need a bigger craft room and I need the Dreambox! 😜🤣😂

  • @laneyno8

I love this series of scrap buster videos! Thank you.
I have one of those tower of drawers (on wheels) that I wheel out beside me when I begin to craft. I only keep solid card stock colors in them. The top drawer is labeled white/cream. Second is black. Next is browns & crafts. Then I go in kind of a rainbow order down the drawers. This serves 2 purposes: 1. I can pull out the right color of scraps I need for my project at the moment, and 2. When I’m finished crafting, I just slide out the drawer and place any scraps I have in their color drawers. I keep my designer series types of papers in bins or really large plastic bags. When I get a good amount of that filled, I will then cut tags or A2 size card background panels from this stash first. I have used this system for years and it works for me. Maybe it will help someone else as well.
You’ve just given me more ways to use those scraps after I do my tags and card panels. Love your videos MayMay!

I love all the fun projects you have shown us to decrease our scraps! If I have solid colored card stock scraps, I cut them into 4.25 x 5.5 pieces and store them in a sleeve by color. I also have a sleeve for smaller solid scraps. I also have sleeves of patterned paper scraps loosely sorted by color family.I keeps these in my rolling cart, so it's always nearby. When I start a new project I like everything fresh and coordinated plus I don’t have the patience to go digging. I do have a scrap bin but I’ve stop keeping anything smaller than 3 x 4…besides I have so much paper I’ll die before I use it all. LOL of course that doesn’t keep me from buying more! After you separated all the whites and the blacks, there were a couple of rectangles on the pile to the left of your hand that look like they would go so well together. The dark brown is on top of a leafy pattern in colors that look like they match so well. I have all my white scraps separate from all my other colors and use the white scraps for everything. Thank you MayMay great ideas. I have used some of these in the past. But as I find that I don’t want to store the die and punch pieces, I’ve donated them to schools, children’s hospitals, and even women’s shelters. This way don’t care colour or pattern and they’re always appreciated. PS I throw in a few glue sticks as well and paper that I no longer think I can use. PSS I love the idea of making yourself mini kits with the larger scraps. 🥰

Would love to see a video of cards you made with some of your scrap cuts, punches & dies.

I love these ideas. I don't keep scraps as small as some of yours, but I do sort them by color.

This helps me immensely! I save my useable scraps but rarely use them because they are all stuffed in a box in no particular order and stuffed so full that some of the scraps aren't even really in the box, they are being propped up by other papers sticking out. I think I'm going to use them but always forgo it because it's just too time consuming to find the right piece. I live in a place that has summers in the triple digits every day and it's our time for daytime hibernating to escape this heat. Guess my paper stash busting is the go to project this year. Thank you!

The pinky purse will be great for my 4.5x6.5 paper pad. This video is awesome!
