These two stacks of cards must remain separate." So that's the partner of whoever was chosen as the dealer? The other pile is 13 cards too? The other places I've read says 11 cards per pile. Is this just a variation of the rules?

Apparently there’s 100 ways to play this game. None of the ones I’ve watched is the way we play.
