- AI-enhanced Heat Pump Ventless Electric Dryer
I requested this LG 7.8 cu. ft. Dual Invert Heat Pump ventless Electric Dryer to compliment a bathroom remodel we were having finished the same week the Home Depot Seeds campaign opened up. Initially, we had planned on purchasing stacking units from an S competitor to be placed in a recessed space next to a new shelving unit. Since this product is from a different brand, we were forced to evaluate compatible options for the complimenting washer. Fortunately, the dimensions of the originally planned, and the new available options, were close enough to each other that no changes to the recessed space were required.
When the dryer was delivered about a week after selection, I had our bathroom remodeling contractor present to oversee the smooth handling of electrical, plumbing, and any other construction requirements. I did some initial configuration of settings and registration of the appliance on the LG ThinQ app. Once we got the washer delivered about two weeks later, we ran our first loads of laundry in the two machines.
Overall, I have to say I am pleased with the dryer's performance and capabilities both digitally, and directly as a laundry drying/heating appliance. The only reason it didn't get a five star rating is the following minor issues:
• LG Up compatibility is unknown as the appliance flips back and forth displaying the icon.
• This dryer model is the only LG laundry appliance with that direction of door swing.
• LG Software engineering department did not default appliance to AI dry mode first in the cycle list. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
ALL stand alone LG Dryers open to the right and all their stand alone washers open to the left; not just this model. Neither have options to change the door opening direction.
It's really meant to be side by side; if you want to stack, it's best to get their wash tower.
Does the heat pump have smart sharing with the other washer?
Hey. I'd like to see a default normal cycle.
This is the only cycle I use. Normal and “More Dry”
And even tells you the time
I don’t see condenser clean mode?
There is a specific cycle for that. You can see it in the list when managing the cycle list in the LG ThinQ app.
What about the lint screen care?
Easily pulls out and opens up. Two pieces, larger taco shell form, and small rounded piece at bottom that helps lint trap keep screen from being damaged.
The drum is not balancing itself in the dryer. There is no dryer on earth that does that, it is sensing the load by moving it back and forth and then decide how long it's going to dry.
Washer may do that, but the dryer does not .
I have a Miele heat pump dryer.
The door is designed that way if they're next to each other side-by-side as opposed to being stacked most dryers come that way. If you don't like that, you should be able to reverse the door.
Dryer door can be reversed
