I put a Mustang Low down on my 2005 Road King and opted for the driver back rest. I originally purchased it based on the reviews for passenger comfort as my wife hated the stock passenger seat. Bought a new saddleman seat for a gold ring. My wife and me hated it. I replaced it with a Corbin, We both loved it. I replaced the gold wing with a Harley ultra. The original seat was great.We had no issues un tell it was Wore out at about 50000 miles. Replaced it with the Mustang seat. It has about 75000 miles on it still going good. Be careful, ride safe.
I haven’t had any luck with Mustang seats. I’ve tried a couple and just never got comfortable on them. I’m currently riding on a heated Harley seat that I’ve used on three different bikes. It was starting to show some wear and tear so I boxed it up and shipped it to Sick Saddles in Lakeland, FL and they did an amazing job refurbishing it. On a different note, I took my ‘23 Ultra to my dealer for the 5k service yesterday and a salesman hit me up to do a demo ride on both the ‘24 Road Glide and the ‘24 Street Glide. Being a hard core Bat Wing guy I was convinced that I would like the Street Glide better but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I absolutely loved the Road Glide! What an awesome ride! Thank God the service department got finished with the service on my ‘23 Ultra when they did or I might have found myself trading!! I see now why you are so excited about yours.
On my 2024 road glide cvo I reached out to mustang seats out at the Sturgis rally through facebook they had them in stock they shipped it overnight and had it by 1pm the next day nothing beats a mustang seat I have had them for years
I had a Mustang on my Heritage but I went with Saddleman on my Road Glide. I like how it is more narrow towards the front and makes a big difference in moving the bike around.
I have a Mustang standard touring solo with passenger wide seat with backrest. First thing I noticed when I sat on the seat is that I don't notice it. And I haven't noticed it since. Which, in my opinion, makes it the perfect seat.
I see used Road Sofa's for sale all the time. I rarely see Mustangs for sale used. Just an observation. We have a two piece Mustang and are pretty happy with it.
Never even thought of that and a lot of people love them, but a lot of people are on the other side. I rarely hear people say they don’t like the mustang seat.
Have a stock Vulcan 900 Classic.I used the stock seat the first year and was basically limited to just a couple hours before I had to get off and take a break.I couldn't afford a new Mustang,so during the winter I found a used one with back rest for less than 1/2 of the cost of a new one. Now I can ride all day with no more back pain. I just got back from a week of riding in the Ozarks and the riding itself wore me out,but I never had an issue w/seat comfort. For reference,I'm 6 ft 2, 215 lb, have a scoliosis and am 74. Without that seat,I might have quit riding. One thing I may do though is get a sheepskin cover for it.
Riding a saddlemen road sofa extended reach on my 24 RG. Had one on my 2020 RG as well. Mustang seats look wider which may benefit me as you and I are the same size.
That's an awesome looking seat and looks good on your new bike. Why does the seat look narrower than all the other deluxe seats I see out there? I think they're listed at 19inches wide and your seat does not look like that. It looks real good!!

Hey Bob I love my mustang seat I rode 9000 miles last month and if it had been any other seat I don’t think I could have done it. I have 115000 miles on that seat.
Like I told you before, I called Mustang and the lady claimed they had no plans to make a seat for the 24’s, so I reluctantly ordered a Saddlemen. I will be going with Saddlemen from now on! I like the narrow front for reaching the ground and the gel really works. It’s more comfortable than the two Mustangs I had on previous bikes. I prefer the looks of the Mustang. My wife says the Saddlemen Road Sofa is the most comfortable seat she’s been on. The only downside is she can’t fit comfortably with my backrest on on the Saddlemen like she could on the Mustang. So that’s a bummer, but the lumbar support is great so it’s not huge deal.
Ive been over a year now trying to find a one-up aftermarket seat for my '07 RK. It came with a new two-up Saddleman that works well with my AirHawk seat cushion. But unfortunately a previous owner must have been well over 6', because even with 12" mini-apes, I have to lean forward more than I want to . . . and, there is no slot in the seat for a driver backrest. I pursued Adam Sandler's seat a couple years ago, but at the time they weren't sure they were going to continue making them after covid. So, I'm probly going to have to call Mustang or another supplier because the bike is so old, idk? Anyway, I appreciate your reviews on the different seats even though you're a good bit taller.
I got a 24 road glide as well didn’t really have any comfort issues on the stock seat but I didn’t like how close up on the tank I was so I opted to go with the saddleman road sofa I had a saddleman previously on my older bike and it was absolutely not comfortable but went to the dealer demoed the road sofa for the new bikes and bought it absolutely love it didn’t even have a break in period on it

Just an awful seat (for me.) hard as a rock after 6000 miles. Ultimately, I went with BadBoyz Cyclez Python seat. The have great reviews and always compared to the top tier seats like Mustang. I have an older super touring Mustang seat the I purchased back in 2016 ,and it has became not as comfortable as I would Like, so I purchased a Harley Hammock seat for my 2019 Road Glide Ultra and it has been a reasonable comfortable touring seat that I would feel good for 450 miles or so a day.. A year ago I had a 5 hour back surgery and had a titanium Rod and 3 cages installed in my lower back. I am contemplating on trying my Mustang once again. I am also wanting to know if the Newer Mustang super touring seat with the beautiful center stitching is an improvement in long range comfort. I would also like to add that one thing about the stock Mustang back rest and feel it was not as comfortable Harleys adjustable riders back rest Pad. I would also add that I am going to be 70 miles of age tomorrow and I am hoping that I don't have unrealistic expectations in looking for a seat that will make me feel like it use to feel for the last 55 years of riding. That is some great info on how the dealer orders, Direct VS 3rd party. Thats a beautiful bike and I think that seat looks great. I need that 2 inches that seat will provide. Did you have to ask for that or is it just the style?
I think they actually called the long reach so you do need to make sure you get the right one. I agree with you. I had no idea on the third-party thing.

Why they would design a seat that wouldn’t work with additional aftermarket parts is beyond me. So luckily I ordered the seat before the disclaimer was on their website and had to unfortunately send it back. Currently waiting on my refund, with no idea how long it’s going to take them to design a seat to accommodate saddlebag guards.
It is my understanding that this seat will work with them, but it’s a little bit tight. My guards are on backorder so I wish I could tell you what they would work, but I have my fingers crossed.
I have been searching for a seat for months. Have a 15 SGS with a chopped tour pac and extended foot controls stock seat that's recovered by the builder. I'm comfortable with my position but my girl gets uncomfortable after an hour. I'm 6' 195. Im looking mainly for her comfort. Saddleman is by far the nicest looking but with gel I think it would be to hard. Also looking at Badboyz Cyclez. I think their Freedom seat is sharp but the fact the rear pillion rocks some that and the 2 piece i wasn't fond of. Im leading to the Mustang I think but don't want extended reach. Decision decisions.

i have a mustang super tour seat for my 21 ultra and i like it but still get soreness and also my neck kills me going to order a backrest and see if that helps

@@jeffallen5279 I researched alot of seats and watched many TH-cam videos on others opinion. The Mustang Deluxe Touring with the red stitching is definitely the best looking seat in my opinion. I purchased the drivers backrest and also bought the passenger wrap around backrest. I have a chopped tour pac. Mustang tells you It doesn't fit on a chopped only on the king Tourpac. I wanted a more comfortable seat and backrest for my passenger. Just have to drill the holes for it. The best look and comfort I think. For the seat it does sit you higher by an inch. I don't see any difference in if it sits you back any. I have only had a chance for a few short rides but is definitely more comfortable than the stock seat. I wasn't sold on the seats that have jell padding.
Still running my stock seat on my 02 Road King, considering a Mustang or Saddleman, the 22 year old stock seat just not that comfortable after few hundred miles.

I had a mustang seat and it never really broke in and was never comfortable. I had to by a jell pad so I would not buy another one. This my opinion others may disagree and that’s fine just wasn’t for me.
She is always loved the seat. That said, she prefers my Road Glide limited that I used to have just because it was better for her to put her arms on that set up.

I always have bad luck with seats, probably because I'm a bigger guy. I'm 6'3" 330 and have had to send my corbin back to have padding added. I've been looking at mustang but I never see opinions on them from guys that are my size and ride for hours on end.

Glad you have one you like and think she told you wrong. The seat is the same as a 2023 CVO seat for Mustang.

I am not positive probably because of the frame change. I just know the older ones do not fit.

Had a Mustang seat. It extended by driving pleasure by 15 minutes over the stock seat. I don't think I'll ever try another Mustang seat

How is the comfort for your wife?
She is always loved the seat. That said, she prefers my Road Glide limited that I used to have just because it was better for her to put her arms on that set up.
@@BoDean52 I get it. We had a sundowner that we had customized by MCC on our 21 RG and it was superb. I just pulled the trigger on this Mustang. Can’t wait to log some miles! The stock seat killed us over the weekend, and the demo sundowner I’m using now isn’t agreeing with me. Thanks for the response! Always enjoyed your channel.
I always have bad luck with seats, probably because I'm a bigger guy. I'm 6'3" 330 and have had to send my corbin back to have padding added. I've been looking at mustang but I never see opinions on them from guys that are my size and ride for hours on end.
I think you will love them.
@BoDean52 I assume you bought their tallboy version being sat back almost 2 inches? I always end up with soreness in my tailbone and lower back.
Yea they call it extended reach and huge differences
I loved mine with 14" apes. I put t-bars on and now the seat seam uncomfortable to me. I am a big guy as well. I think im putting apes back on
