Born in 1972, I grew up with classic space! So those sets always tug at my heart strings and when I can find them on eBay or bricklink I buy them! I just love the simplicity of most of the sets. No need for too many fancy pieces. Just wedge plates, straight plates, a few bricks and slopes and you’re done!

BL hauls from Germany FTW! Some of the most famous companies manufacturing model trains are from Germany and it is a toy with a long and notable tradtion. Model trains have many fans in Germany, in the age from 8 to 80 and they are deadly serious on their hobby. Really. Now imagine what kind of people you encounter when this is fused with a passion for LEGO?
LEGO train fans are CRAZY in Germany. It's no wonder, that this country seems to be the bottomless vault for 9V tracks.
The 12V system of the second generation (dark grey) became quite popular among german AFOL for its power and functionality (remote controlled: switches, signals, uncoupling...) but it was prone to scale oxydation. When the new 9V came up it seemed to be a considerable upgrade (and looked so much better...). Now we have a hightech train, attractive, strong and no shortcircuits anymore. And who came up with this first? Playmobil....
You could build a snake themed train and use all of those curves to make it look like it is moving like a snake
Even if the Classic Space videos get less views than others, you should keep making them. I enjoy them very much, and just think about it - they may get significantly less views than some of the other videos you do, but they STILL easily get thousands of them - so each one brings joy to thousands of people. Keep on your aweseome work!
And, in the end: Who doesn't love spaceships (Spaceships, SPACESHIPS?!)
PS: Now that you're done with Classic Space, how 'bout moving on to Futuron, Blacxktron I, Space Police I etc?
On a related note, I also enjoy your Classic Town videos very much - nostalgia galore.
I (also) love Classic Space sets, especially before the aliens era with more light gray than white. I also love the old Legoland sets from the 70s with unprinted faces and non movable torsos and legs in some instances.

I also like classic space , it somehow brings back feelings from when i was a kid. But the way things were constructed was also different. Ex that big spacecraft is built up out of layers of plates staked in tears , something nowadays is syply not done

I thought the immediate feedback question was going to be "which box will disappoint when I find its contents all broken and in disarray?" since neither look like they'd last a few miles in the delivery van, let alone a trip from another country. Maybe they're tougher on the inside. :)

How I avoid ordering duplicates of parts on Bricklink.
I have an empty wanted list that I named Ordered. Any Parts that I order and pay for get moved from my other wanted lists to that list. So when I search stores to order more parts. I omit the Ordered wanted list when I search the stores.
Then when I receive the parts on my Ordered wanted list. I then delete those parts from that list.

I just looked into bricklink and I'm curious as to how it works. Individual parts seem extremely inexpensive, almost too good to be true. Are there typically high shipping costs? And how exactly does the "quantity" attribute work? Is this how many pieces are sold as "one" item or is it how many the seller has available for you to buy?
