Port of Spain was not only a quaint West Indian town as many people of the time thought. By the architecture shown in this short it's easy to see that Port of Spain was also a very genteel and cultured capital city with buildings and public services to rival that of any city in the United States or Great Britain. From Queen's Hall to the Victoria Institute Port of Spain boasted a quality of life that is envied today. To reflect that, I've used some classical piano in this sequence. I hope it conveys to the viewer what a delight the Savannah was on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

my mother said that before independence port of spain was clean and orderly very little crime if any. The roads were spotless. My mother said that innocence went after 1972 she always used to say come back england all is forgiven. I know independence was in 1962 but it took about 10 years for the rot to set in.

Bruce take a look at the very first scene behind the fence at the northern of the Savannah there appears to be the taken up track work of the trams stacked in piles behind the three little girls walking. Take a good look and let me know what you think.

the magnificent 7 is the 7 mansions in Trinidad right? .... I just hope they don't ever tear them down.... they look so worn and old now. :( funny how they would tear down buildings that are 100's of years old but the new houses that fall apart, they give to others.... such a shame :(
