One of my favorite vocalists and songwriters today. I was fortunate to see Donna at a small venue in San Francisco last year and it was, hands down, one of the most connective shows I’ve ever seen. The whole room was filled with electricity and warmth. Her intensity is matched by her down to earth kindness. Donna Missal touches souls with her lyrics, and her voice is something you feel in your bones. For anyone enjoying this performance I highly recommend her new album, Lighter. Headphones on. Beginning to end, in its entirety. Loud. You’re welcome. 😉
i've listened to this song a thousand times already but almost none of her other stuff has stood out for me like this one did. hope she realizes she gotta make more bluesy tracks specially with the voice she has.
every time I listen to Donna's records I can't skip any of the songs. They are unskippable. I've listened to both of them so many times already and I feel it only gets better with time, and the more I listen is like the songs themselves change meaning to me. She's wonderful
I'm surprised I don't easily find many reactions of Donna Missal, I honestly think she's one of the best female rock voices we've seen recently. I'm also suprised how the little gem that is Elliot Wheeler's "Power", where Donna is singing, has zero reactions in TH-cam. I mean, it's just too good to be ignored like that!! Here is the link if anybody's interested: th-cam.com/video/hiwwsA4jQzI/w-d-xo.html
The lighting, direction and camera work detract from a great voice. I like to be able to see who is singing. And that's more Blues than Jazz to me. I know, because I hate Jazz, and I love this. 😜
If you're in the mood for more of this kind of stripped back and soulful voices I humbly you check out Marcus King - "Wildflowers & Wine" (Recorded Live for World Cafe). Marcus is an incredible blues and jazz guitar player but his voice really sets him apart. He sings and plays like a lovechild of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Janis Joplin. He can also burn down the house with his full band. Does an incredible version of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" that I like better than the original
Donna has a great voice and many of their songs are really good but some of their videos are below par and seem to have emphasis on alluring rather than talent.
this is probably my favourite live of hers
edit: also her guitarist and drummer are so pure. iconic.
There are so many - Capitol Cuts- they are all amazing

@Johnny Perecowicz Already heard the Iris cover, but I want originals that bring out the best of her voice.

Amazing vocals!! Definitely adding it on Spotify!
