It’s probably one of my favorite riffs of all time
It makes me feel things..
You are incredibly incredibly insanely good at multiple forms of metal on electric guitar man. I one day aspire to do even a small fraction of what you can do. I totally want an 8 string multiscale. I love you, bro man dude!
that transition from blessthefall to phineas...well done my man!
Nik, incredible video. Really nostalgic and just super cool to hear the progression over the years
Did not expect to see the Darkest Hour love! Such an underrated band.
Bury tomorrow has soo many cool riffs. Every album has almost only killer riffs. I am Damnation has seriously one of the coolest riffs in metalcore at the end. And Little Wonder from Architects also has such an amazing killer riff at the end. These two songs really made me go daaaaamn, these riffs are crazy good! And Erra... these guys are freakin riff gods! The whole new album is insane. But if we include Erra here, then we can def mention Northlane too. Node, Singularity... crazy nice riffs on these albums. Alien and Oblivion are very good too if you like the more digitally enhanced style.
Thank you so much for adding Darkest Hour 🥹
super underrated band Kris Norris is a Guitar God one of my biggest influences in Music
Fucking blast from the past. Damn near played my favorite songs from each album.
i love how much metalcore has evolved. From the punkiness of Converge to the djentiness of Erra, it all slaps so hard. Can't wait to see how the sound evolves in the next 20 years.
Old Elitist RIPPED! Sean and Julian’s dynamic was phenomenal.
Now that's what I call Metalcore 2022
Awesome to see the evolution. Nice job
Please do a part two and have some The Air I Breathe. Very underrated band.
Oh wow dreamshade and so many bands I had forgotten. Nice vid
I grew up on this and love it so much. Even “Christian” metal in the early 2000’s was better then half of the stuff put out nowadays.
Honestly can't agree with that, respectfully, Bury Tomorrow for example is putting out some of the best music we've have for decades in my opionion.
@@TheRobGriffiths good shout, reminds me to give them a relisten
5:26 Haha its that sandpit turtle song.
Also I'm so glad to see bury tommorow on the list. Those guys are awesome.
Underrated is the arranging that went into converting some of the songs that were played on 7 strings originally into playable on 6 strings. Awesome work as always Nik!
Was so stoked to see Dreamshade on here.
Scream Aim Fire is Goated tbh
Facts
1:40 super quick Killswitch clip between As I lay dying and All that remains
It warms my heart to see some Bury Tomorrow in something like this
Metalcore kicks ass, nice one Nick 👍
DREAMSHADE MADE IT HERE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The cool thing about videos like this is that it exposes me to bands that I have never even heard of, and would likely have never listened to normally
Who knew I needed this nostalgia trip to start the week off with, good stuff dude! 🤘
This is awesome! Thanks man! A couple of new artists I need to discover.
Thanks for the trip of nostalgia man grew listening to all this shit in middle school
Good times my friend
Erra during the Augment era had/has some of my fave metalcore riffs
So happy and surprised you included Dreamshade in there. That album is incredibly underrated.
Yep, and probably their best.
I never even heard of Dreamshade before this video. I'm glad I found them now though because they sound great!
