Reviewing the Garmin Alpha 300

Can the buttons navigate the handheld Incase the touchscreen gets wet when raining?

I'm considering an Alpha 300 for backpacking with my dog since I need a gps and a dog tracker, and most retails trackers connect to your phone / are useless in areas with no data, it seems like the ideal solution for me. Are the course features equivalent to something like a Garmin gpsmaps 67 though? ie: can you use it to follow a route in the same way?
Appreciate this isn't quite the same situation you or your customers will normally find yourself in but I'm unsure where to look for answers.

This wld be a gud choice for what ur looking for not only does it have gps u can get a SD card with a detailed map of ur state tracks the dog plus has combined shock collar in case the dog runs off n u can mark ur vehiçle when u leave n it will track ur path to n believe it has so in it to

Does the Alpha 300 require GPS signal to train? This is my biggest issue with the pro 550 plus.

What would be the trade in difference on an alpha 100 with a tt15 collar and t5 to a 300 with the two new collars with extended batteries on them?

Poor resolution screen! I owned the model alpha 300 and really poor resolution screen! Garmin should put Amoled screen on their device!
