- An Exclusive Documentary by Doordarshan Kendra Agartala on Maharaj Kumari Kamalprabha Devi, younger sister of Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur of Tripura . She was an eminent painter and singer in the Royal Family. Her handicrafts are quite popular in India. The documentary was scripted by Dr. Sumangal Sen and Directed by Prabhitangsu Das.
Pls don't judge her for not knowing kokborok at her time it was that way in her time period but now it's 21st century for the millinials (tripasa and tripaswk) let's change our Tripura for better and more into development state raising our culture and language (kokborok) just let her be RIP. And we shouldn't dwell in the past but learn from it inorder to not repeat the same mistake as our grandfather's forefather's has done✌🏻❤

Please learn to be respectful to the departed soul. MK Kamal Prabha Devi could speak many languages but the interview was in Bengali so she spoke in it. Why blame her for not speaking in Kokborok, in the past Bengali was spoken by even Tiprasas in interior areas as it was a common language, just like Nagamese is spoken by Nagas even though it is like Assamese. However the way Bengali was spoken by Tiprasas was different from normal Bengali people and was a mix of kokborok and bangla.

Correct. Since merger all the ministers MLA, MP everyone was Kokborok speaking. But hardly any talent at par with the MK Kamalprabha, Anil Thakur, Pulin Thakur, Suresh DebBarma, Borthakur could be seen among Kokborok knowing. In any society art, culture and literature are the assets. But politics of Kokborok language has made everyone blind to civilised attributes.
