A huge plus with the older machine you don't have to mess with emissions and all the crazy electronics in today's machines. Can't wait to see you guys put it to use!
You guys have moved an enormous amount of dirt to put in this lake. The transformation is nothing less than amazing. The larger dump has saved you a lot of time, fuel and wear on Bubba Dump. Jerry’s years of experience and skill set as an operator is always a tremendous asset to DP. Great video Mike.
They are both 30’s according to the manufacturers decals on the side. Not sure if there’s a huge difference in volume capacity or load weight between the two
Your new plow was built by two brothers at Frankenmuth Mi one was a farmer the other was an electrical engineer and part time farmer. They bought the track assembly from JD parts. It came with a Cummins 250 that got week so we replaced it with a very low hour Cummins 6CTA. It was always a great plow just thought if we was ever going to have a new one that was the time. The on board real was a very good thing, when you get low on tile have the stringer lay another roll in front and then 2:49pick it up, tile is always strung where you want and not catching on stalks. Good luck and hope you enjoy the plow.
Jerry reminds me of my Late Father, he went to work most days at the crack of dawn and work hard all of his life on machinery, he never complained and whatever he touched, the job was done past requirements. When you find a person like Jerry, it is like winning the jackpot, one in a million.
@fireman14892 they don't make men like that anymore! We were 25miles back in the woods, no cell reception until half way out. Snowstorm, almost a foot on the ground and snowing hard. At 2am, my dad fell in the door to the bunk house where my 2 brothers a cousin and I were staying beside the main camp. Dad already had a tripple bypass years earlier, he was holding his chest and his nitro puffer was 5yrs old and no good! Asked him when it started, he said around 7... so from 7pm until 2am, he just put up with the pain, didn't want to bother anyone! They met the ambulance at the end of the dirt (mud) road. They gave him 15 shots of nitro on his way to the hospital, an hour more drive on the highway. I got there in the morning and I could hear him laughing before I saw him.... Had to get 2 stints put in after all that. He waited 7hrs for his "heartburn" to get better before asking for help!
Agreed Just curious why Mike had thoughts of removing the 'tile spooler thing' - can't he still use the existing 'tile cart' to re-stock the tile plough whilst in location [in trench]? I don't know how this 'new' machine loads tile but surely [don't call me Shirley] it's already setup to tilt like existing tile cart....who knows?
@@philhunt9297 It looked like the tile rack tilted to the "port" side of the rig for reloading. I agree though, you could get started with the tile loaded on the plow then use the cart if/when you run out in the middle of the field.
Congratulations on a very productive day. Hard to imagine you spent so much of Arron’s bank account without his approval. Dam looks great, it’s always amazing how much Gerry can get done if he doesn’t have to monitor Arron. 😂 Wishing you and your family the best. Surprised that you actually had to buy the mower, has seemed like they will give those away to anybody that will take One.
I worked for a pavement crushing company years ago. We were working on a ski area parking lot. Went to dig a tailings hole under the crusher. Cut a fiber optic cable about a foot in diameter. You should have seen all them little things hanging out. Baaaad day. Thanks Guys
When Jerry goes home, everything looks great! Just look at the artristry he performed! Now, I knew what the mower was when I saw all the chains hanging down because I watch a forestry channel and know how important those chains are to stop debris from being thrown all over. I think with a bit of practice, the tiling machine is going to be a great addition to the fleet. It is a little rustic and may get some side long glances but she doesn't have to look conventional to get the job done! Owner was prob glad you came along 'cause most guys wouldn't even know what it is or be scared off by it's age! All in all, a good day for Dirt Perfect, until it's time to haul her back home!
Awesome purchase on the tile plow. It is always great to see Jerry there with you. But it is more lively when Aaron is there with you. You are getting closer to having the pond completed. Thank you for sharing 👌 😊
Congratulations with the new acquisitions of a tile plow and wing mower👏🎉! Growing pains is part of the process when improving and acquiring more equipment. It sounds like you made the right choices!
Except for my 2005 Peterbilt 335 Dump Truck, the way you just bought the tiling machine is how I purchased all my excavating equipment. A good purchase - is a win for the old wallet! Great video! Thanks Mike! Lee
I think the tile machine will be a good addition and asset to your operation. Yall do a pretty good amount of work and the new addition will hopefully increase your options and decrease your time in the fields. I’m happy for you and excited to see it in operation. The new pull behind mower is sharp. Congratulations on everything. The lake job is looking absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to see the final result.
Just to let you know (because a lot of people don’t know) that if your garage door is up, all you have to do is press enter to close it. You don’t need to put the code in. Takes a lot less time.
It's cool to see how you have grown over the years! Just think how much more you will grow once your son gets older and starts helping! At least I hope he does. You Mr. DP Have To stay safe so you can see this! 👍🏼👍🏼
Jerry puts me in mind of a coal strip job operator he is good and I enjoyed learning from them older guys I have 2/1/2 years under my belt from a d8 high track a d10 just a little bit and 740 wiggle tell till I broke my foot on the job and had to have 2 surgerys on it and when I was Finley released to go back to work I got to work that week and was laid off here in southeast part of Kentucky good job mike I really enjoy watching you to continue to grow and that makes me happy to see someone bring nothing to something keep up the good work man and keep that boy out there with ya when he don't have school to get him involved in getting to play with big boy dangerous toy stay safe.
The guy with the those toys win! Great you have your eye looking for deals. Building your business that makes the most for you. You are almost there where you are to big to be small. If you had another good man to run the other truck just imagine the dirt you could move in a day on that site!
I know a farmer that brought an old tiling machine just to do his fields and that because there was a 2 to 4 year wait to get work done. It needed work to get run but was a great deal. He got it home and it wasn't even working, and he had guys stopping in and asking if he was doing tiling. Well, he knows runs a small tiling business as well.
Jerry does some real nice work won’t that dozer. That new addition tile plow looks to be “the cats meow”… Look forward to seeing it in action. Great video, Thank you sir.
Nice tile plough! You and Aaron will get her sorted and into work in no time. Congratulations Mr Dirt Perfect. Early Christmas prezzy! G'day from Tasmania

Good morning sunshine! Always great to see Mr Jerry doing his thang on the 850J! He is a pro at it! Great purchases too! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
Mr. Jerry made the backside of the dam look superb. We know it's not finished, but what he did here on that Saturday...WOW! Good man to have on your team.
I believe the pipe layer is a wonderful investment. I personally believe the tile rack on the front would be great. It would allow the cart to offload onto the rack and then go for another while the machine is laying pipe.
You guys have moved a massive amount of dirt to build that dam, it`s incredible. Adding new stuff to the arsenal of equipment, never hurts, all of that new fancy stuff likes to break with all of the sensors and safety stuff these days, be well friends.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who is spending money on machinery and infrastructure for the future and hoping to make enough in the present to at least keep going. Good luck, thanks for the video.
The accumulator suspension works to actually push the wheels down in to low spots to keep the vehicle from bucking and chucking. They also act as a giant shock absorber when running over high spots. Grove offload cranes use them. Awesome invention!
Ha, So.. I was right in the chat for one of the live chats back a few weeks ago! :D Congrats on the new machine. I hope it lets you take it to the next level!!
One thing is for sure, the landscape around the new lake has drastically changed! The before and after pics will be mind blowing! 🤯🤯 The new mower deck would certainly make mowing the farm property faster. A profitable purchase to save time and make vegetation maintenance easier. I think the tile plow will be beneficial. If anything, having two tile plows on bigger jobs will make it quicker! It will be interesting to see what modifications the mad scientists will perform on the new beast!
The tile cart can set rolls in front for the onboard reel to pick up when installing lines or finishing up a field. Pretty much done when the ground freezes in the Winter unless you like fixing broken machines and pre-ripping every tile line. A used Krac plow is worth between 10 to 14K for reference.
Where DP at they usually don't get too cold. And usually only cold for a few months. I'm Northern Indiana and the plow till we stay at well below freezing for a while. Unless it snowed before the ground froze. Then they keep going.
The pond job is really looking good. And Jerry is having fun playing in the dirt with the 850J. I agree with the amount of tile you're doing. That's the best option and will save a lot of ware and tear on your 850J. I'm happy about your purchase, Mike.
DP I’ve got a rhino 8 ft mower that was bought new 15 years ago. We’ve literally put that thing through hell and still yet today there’s no holes in any where there bulletproof
Pond looks excellent with Master Dozer Operator Jerry. Just blows my mind with such a massive dam for not much pond. 1 st time I watched you on my TV and what a different experience vs phone. Have a great day DP crew
Think you might be surprised by the footprint of that tile plow and the traction you will get with the weight balance. Your 850J set up is brilliant for small jobs, but the balance is the reason you have to pull it with an excavator so much, plus if I am seeing correct that boom on the newer plow swings for the curves a bit. Sure going to miss that AC in the summer though. Dam is coming together right nicely.
I called it... during your live video everyone was guessing over and over... my first guess was not correct, but I did ask if it was a propper tile machine. Funny I saw your face look stunned for a brief moment but you never said anything. But at the end of the video you said " I'm sure one of you may have got ir right!" Looks like a monster of a machine... congratulations mower deck is cool to... lol
Having lived & worked on a farm for a few years I knew straight way you had bought a hay cutter before you got it of the delivery trailer, never used a 16ft one though. Congrats on the purchase of your new (Used / New) tile pipe machine, I guess your are now officially in the tile laying business. Another good video with you & Jerry, Thank you!
Nice, between the dirt moving ,getting new flail mower for the farm and buying the tile plow, could not ask for more of a productive day.good video, just keep on doing what you do best.be safe 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Cant wait to see the videos on the new plow, and i guess this means that miss jenna wont be mad about where the plasma table gets put, just new masive plow sitting in the drive.
Congratulations on both of your purchases. May I commit that it's great for manufacturers like Case and Hyundai to work with you in demonstrating there equipment on your channel. Thanks again for all your videos and have a great day.
The Mack needs to be TB2 green and the lowboy needs enclosing for the full Thunderbirds experience when the new plow rolls up for a job. Not sure Lady Penelope driving a converted school bus quite fits the original as the Rolls Royce was pink and has 6 wheels but I get the problems with trademarks and copyright so I'll overlook that but good to see the trees laying down sideways was kept from the original series.
You're gonna need to make Crash a permanent figure on your team Mike, then Aaron can make believe that he's got the stripes on his arm as the corporal. He'll be head over heels if he can say that he's first in line until Gunner has learned the ropes of the job. That won't be too long, he's learning a lot now so watch out Aaron, before he can look over your shoulder Gunner is gonna be your boss.
Now I really believe in the power of Patron Mike and have to thank Miss Jenna for the sneak preview, I laughed like a loon when I saw you working out if you would buy it or not, I love it when Jerry is on the Job he don't say much, but his work says a lot for him I missed Aaron and hope he enjoyed his time off, you might be the better road truck driver but I honestly think Aaron has you beaten on both Bubba and the new dump truck, sorry Mike. Jim from Scotland 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So nice seeing you advancing in life get new equipment good used equipment buying another place you do nice clean work you should be proud got good workers hope the best in the new year and Merry Christmas!
This Lake building, a development to himself. A great to Transform from a Areal, what Real not ahead to see! But You have it Perfect to unite. Congratulation. 💪👍
Mike, I seem to remember, in an much older video, you talked about using the bucket on the Excavator to mark where you should stop the haul truck when you were digging and driving on solo jobs. I remember thinking that that was a great tip! 👍🏻 That was you, wasn’t it?
Evening. I ran a Krac drainage plough in my much younger years. They were built In Embro Ontario Canada. Ours was mounted on a C6 Terex with 671 gm power. They were and still are in my opinion the best performing plough out there. I was 19 out of high school when l first started working for McIntyre Farm Drainage. I'm 61 now. The plough brings back so many memories..... We also had a 12" pile box for it. Had to pre-rip for the 12" box. The 10" could sometimes do in l pass. Look forward to seeing it lay tile. The most important thing is keeping the plough point in good shape I've rebuilt many over the years. But that was 40+ years ago!
The one thing about it if it breaks down, you got the old, Ah, 50J to keep ongoing with you. You know, you can use either one, but you got 2. In case one of them breaks down, think about it
A huge plus with the older machine you don't have to mess with emissions and all the crazy electronics in today's machines. Can't wait to see you guys put it to use!
💯👌🇺🇸

I second this!
Except it doesn't haul as much per load as olde BUBBA.
Actually I believe that Haul truck is smaller in all aspects compared to bubba dump don't quote me though
They are both 30’s according to the manufacturers decals on the side. Not sure if there’s a huge difference in volume capacity or load weight between the two

He'll be head over heels if he can say that he's first in line until Gunner has learned the ropes of the job. That won't be too long, he's learning a lot now so watch out Aaron, before he can look over your shoulder Gunner is gonna be your boss.
Nice tractor.
Very wet day in Norway. 😊🇳🇴 6:27
Thank you

Mike, I seem to remember, in an much older video, you talked about using the bucket on the Excavator to mark where you should stop the haul truck when you were digging and driving on solo jobs.
I remember thinking that that was a great tip! 👍🏻
That was you, wasn’t it?
Yup
The most important thing is keeping the plough point in good shape
I've rebuilt many over the years. But that was 40+ years ago!
Awesome tile machine purchase and dam job. Gerry did great work.
That's a nice mower! Should help with your work load! Make your grandpa happy❤
Looks great my friend. And interested to see what the new (to you) tile plow does. Thanks for the ride.
The one thing about it if it breaks down, you got the old, Ah, 50J to keep ongoing with you. You know, you can use either one, but you got 2. In case one of them breaks down, think about it
