And remember, left OG for the Chiefs, #73, Nick Allegretti played almost the whole game with a torn UCL in his left elbow, so he's already the backup guard (for the injured Joe Thuney) and he's playing the Super Bowl one-handed.
THAT WAS MY QUESTION!! They surely had to of watched film from last year!! I KNEW the Chiefs were going to run this play inside the 5. And the saved it for when they needed it the most!!!
@@apacheking9776 Ehhh… defender was right there. It’s possible he makes him miss or just gets past him for enough, but no guarantee. Mahomes would have thrown him the ball instantly if he was open. Plus, Bosa would have been all up in his face. Point being: it definitely could have failed and then fans would have looked at it and said it was a bad call. Then Reid gets blamed because of hindsight bias
Andy Reid deserves his flowers. The Chiefs going forward feel truly scary to me. This is not the best team they'll ever have, and yet their defence is blossoming into a special unit and unlike Belichick-Brady, Reid-Mahomes is a true offensive tandem. Those two together with studs on defence deployed by 4x SB champ Spagnuolo, and you're looking at such tremendous pillars and foundations around which to be relevant year after year. Hard to say how many more SBs the Chiefs will win in the next 5 or so years, could be 0 could be 3, but I bet they'll be almost always at the deep end and a perennial final boss for many other teams.
just shows you how good chiefs are, they are incorporating different plays together creating multiple options for the quarterback, good thing the qb can read defenses and really decide correctly. it is not just the coach but the entire team to make it work
very good breakdown! just shows you how good chiefs are, they are incorporating different plays together creating multiple options for the quarterback, good thing the qb can read defenses and really decide correctly. it is not just the coach but the entire team to make it work
Regarding that 4th and 1 conversion, Mahomes told Peter King in an interview that MVS actually suggested the play they ran there and it's not a play where he is one of the main options. I love how collaborative KC seems to be. Spags has said in several interviews he checked with Bolton before he called that corner blitz by Mcduffie.
Coach please break down Andy Kotelnicki's scheme and philosophy. That offense he was running at KU seemed so complicated, yet he says it is actually simplistic. So beautiful to watch!
And what did the 49er defensive coordinator do that was so bad and got him fired? Or is he just a scapegoat? Seems to me Andy Reid makes all these DCs look overmatched in the playoffs!
I actually agree with Ref's "swallowing their whistle" in the Superbowl (if that's what they do). Because for every call they make against one team, the other team has gotten away with the same thing twice. There is just no way for refs to see everything. But it would be interesting if after, say a year, someone looks at the film and notates ALL fouls that were committed and "missed" by the Refs.
I think (just from what I could see quickly), in the case of the hold, it didn’t, to any appreciable level, impede on Warner’s progress to the QB & it also looked like the back stopped holding pretty quickly (I’ve always been of the mind that, as long as the play is not fundamentally changed by a penalty, in most cases it shouldn’t be called). I think the majority of refs tend to legislate a bit more loosely in playoff & Super Bowl games as well.
99.9% of fans don't understand the rules on holding anyway. They don't understand there is nuance in the rule book to define it, and it can change depending on what the defender is doing.
And a SF offensive lineman was downfield on the trick play touchdown to Sanders. Tony Romo pointed it out as well. These games are not rigged and Taylor Swift hasn't done anything wrong, just cheering for her boyfriend. Why all the hate?
ANDY REID'S Superbowl winning drive?😂😂😂😂😂 Just stop this nonsense.Andy Reid never stepped on the field the entire game 🤣😂🤣😂 Mr Patrick Mahomes Jr's Superbowl winning Drive
Oh please, but the exaggeration. Reid is great, but unless you analyze play calls, at least in Super Bowls, for the entire Super Bowl era, its ridiculous, fanboyish, to claim "best fo all time" for anything.
@@CoachMcKieAfter that, you can look at his Super Bowl & Championship Game appearances, in both the AFC & NFC. He’s definitely gotta be up near the tippy top. He’s currently 3rd, all-time, in wins & will be behind only Belichick when he’s finished with the game. That certainly sounds ‘all time greatest’ to me.
It's easy to throw rocks. What play-calling coaches are better? It's not this guy's duty to prove anything to you. There is ample evidence to support his claim. Where is your evidence?

@@CoachMcKie Checkmate by Coach Reid! He had Bosa off balance and guessing the entire drive.

Best game analyser out there!
Would be interesting if you gave analysis on what the defense should/ could have done.
Thanks for the comment man! And that’s a great idea

Great analysis, Coach! Gotta wonder what would have happened if Bosa had stayed home or went straight for Mahomes on that 4th & 1
Love my Chiefs
Same here.

Excellent breakdown.
Much appreciated man.
I’m looking forward to the 2023 Washington Huskies Offense breakdown. Their offense was a beauty to watch!
I'm loving their offense. That video should be up in a couple of weeks.
Spags is one of the best DC’s EVER
Completely agree
Warner Outrageously held. Refs don’t care 11:40. Holding has to be challengeable. You get 2 tries!
KC has proved so many experts wrong in their 3 Super Bowl wins!
No holds in 4 Super Bowls. Best online ever or refs have an agenda
“Ah” = eye. That will help many. Great breakdown. Just some accent confusion.
Haha thanks. You can be my Southern translator
Good point " I think it's fair " the 49ers had their own trick plays and the Chiefs ended the game with a trick play.
That’s a good point

Yeah I'll remember watching that And saying I wouldn't do that if I was the DC oh well but great game

Our already had the lead and I'll be running the football something that my favorite N F L team didn't not do in 2016.
Who’s your favorite?
Someone else did it six times, someone else did it 4 times… and 6 and 4 are both bigger than 3, so…

Did you notice that KC #65 and KC #74 was two yards downfield when the ball was released and should have been called for ineligible lineman downfield.
Are we really going to play this game? You can go back and find ticky-tack calls on probably every play.
