I never knew there was a sandbar there nor did i know there was an island of rocks before the Dam. This is depressing. I need to head back before she dries up more
@@Natfish on the right of that island towards the end of rip rap and intake if I'm not mistaken, I have a picture somewhere on my laptop of it when the lake was being made
I haven’t seen gar by the banks near the State park. I don’t know where the County park is. Your best bet is in a boat. Rod and reel or bow and arrow? I’ve seen huge gar by the Rio Grande no boat needed but idk if your willing to go that way.
@@ericmontoya8539 El Rio Park goo.gl/maps/JFr1bKmVGKV8GYrs9 That’s down river of Falcon state park. I think they charge about $5 give or take per person. I’d say this is a safe spot from the bank, I’ve seen a lot of families bank fish from there.

Yes sir! The fishing is still really nice and the launching too. Don’t get me wrong the lake has a ton of water but it’s just low.
Thanks for the video!
When you said "I lost alot of baits out here and yall have too" i felt that😂 The governors cove was always a great spot to start off a day.
Yesss 😂🙌🙌
Nombre Nat that's crazy hopefully we never get to see the huge concrete slab cause that'll be the end of falcon lake, thanks for the video 👍🏻

I'll be heading to falcon in two weeks, if you dont mind me asking. Is it better to bank fish for gar at the state park or county park?

Thanks for replying. I'll be using rod and reel. Are there any safe spots to fish on the rio grande that you could point me in the right direction?

I’m thinking about going in 2 or 3 weeks. I’ll be fishing out of my kayak. How far is it from state park to the dam?
A little more than half a mile I think.
That stuff is already under water. It went up a little more.
@@Natfishhow often do you fish falcon?
@@ARJ11569this time of year when it’s chill. 2-3 a month. In hot days once a week.
@@ARJ11569 you?
Carlos from falcon motel said the island is under water now
Can you get to that place without a boat?
Not the island. Just the regular rocks by the dam.
What state is this falcon lake?
Texas
