Penn State Public Broadcasting's Geospatial Revolution Project is an integrated public media and outreach initiative about the world of digital mapping and how it is changing the way we think, behave, and interact.

Ok idk if anybody will see this but here are my answers:
1. The GPS system collects signals from satellites that orbit Earth. These satellites then find the location of themselves in Earth’s orbit, and the GPS receivers calculate where they are in relation to three satellites.
2. In the 1960s and 1970s was when GIS began to emerge.
3. Humans are sensors when they see and report problems on their mobile devices.
4. People who were in the areas that needed help would report it to OpenStreetMap, which is a map that civilians can edit and change. In this way, they alerted other people that they needed help, and at the same time, updated the maps.
5. Instead of having to look at a map and find your way anymore, you can just have something to do it efficiently for you. This saves you time and lowers the possibility of you getting lost. GIS can also help with natural disasters and other everyday problems by letting civilians call attention to problems they wouldn’t be able to share without the internet. This helps everyone live a happier and more efficient life.
