I've found a lot of the people like him are exactly how you'd expect them to be, but a lot are absolutely not.
I think the show runners forgot that bikers are usually just hippies who like leather so of course there wasnt going to be a ton of conflict
It's kinda funny how bikers come across as these hardasses that take no shit from anyone yet (like with any group there are a few exceptions though) they turn out being some of the more friendly people.
Yeah it’s been my experience that bikers are usually just chill dudes who don’t want to be told to do, usually because a lot of them tend to be veterans lol, the bikers by my area would host events for the local kids to check out their bikes and they would always assist the community with stuff
I've known enough bikers that I knew right away he just seemed like one of those good-hearted guy who just wants everyone to be happy and have a good time.

Kenny spending time with the kids and generally just cutting loose and having fun was incredibly wholesome. That's what this show should be about. You don't have to agree with how someone else lives completely, but just take the positives and create stronger bonds with those you love
Zev did a magnificent job of helping that family grow closer, in their utter detestation of all his choices and actions.
The girlfriend tactfully stopped short of saying as much: "once we were united in a common cause, against a common enemy, we were able to come together as a family to fight against you"
He seemed like an example of someone making their whole existence based on one thing and being obnoxious because of it. Having a close community, recycling and allowing your children to explore their creativity is great. What isn't so great is being boiled down to the "eco friendly" guy
@@generichuman2044 Ditto. I don't have an issue with him helping out the community and doing composts and recycling, or even restricting SOME food high in addictive ingredients, those are great. But to allow those things dictate you closing off not only your children but you and your wife's chance to new experiences and decision making because of your principles seems pretty awful. Kids who aren't allowed TV at all instead of just scheduling when they can watch and when they cannot during the early 2000s is crazy to me. Seeing cartoons made my brain burst more with creativity not restrict it.

I was growing up around the time this series was coming out. My parents limited certain foods, gaming time and TV etc. What they didn't do was ban me from everything and make it almost impossible to make friends because it was there way or nothing

Lmao. The ending where he was like oh cool, sick. I love this show. That was the best. Kenny was a boss. He didn't do anything and was loved by the other dudes wife and kids. I gotta admit I was waiting for the other wife to want to hook up with Kenny too. She was a total sweetheart. She was totally on board with everything Kenny asked.
Yeah they were having a total blast. I think it helped that Zev’s wife wasn’t born into that environment and it was a conscious choice, so she was totally down to relive the excess of her younger days for a week.

He was a fairly new member of his own family. There's a chance the house was pretty bad before he ever got there and he just never really went out of his way to make it better like he did for the other house (considering he was on TV for this)

One of the best parts of this episode was Zev genuinely worried Kenny was going to round up his biker buddies to go after him 🤭

My dad died this year in July. He was a hard ass some times, but he was a damn good father. He was the type of dad no one messed with, but would come home and let me braid his hair and bedazzle his socks. He would send Saturday mornings with me eating cereal and watching cartoons. He even let me take the last jump to defeat Browser at the end of Super Mario Bros 3 and acted like I beat the whole game myself, even though he did everything.
Kenny is a good dad. Those girls will look back and remember all the things he did for and with them.
I'm really sorry for your loss, love. And, I'm so grateful you had such an amazing man as a father.

I used to watch wife swap everyday as a "guilty pleasure" during my workouts and honestly they're about 50/50. Half the families seem to learn and grow and half just want to burn the other's house down with them in it. Always entertaining either way, great show.
the producers definitely told mishama to sleep at the foot of the bed for the nap shot so they could further paint her family as being weird & crazy. which is funny bc that lifestyle was nearly nonexistent in 2004, but now 20 years later it’s comparatively pretty common

This is a very wholesome and normal episode ever made in Wife Swap. Both Zev and Kenny did a good job with each of their familes, and never caused these dumb over the top drama here. Seeing the little girl sitting on Kenny's belly, and telling him to stay for a while. Is so adorable.
Definitly the best episode, Kenny seemed like a sweetheart and it looked like they both appriciated their situation better after this

Kenny reminded me of one of the construction guys from "Home Improvement".
Kenny is the perfect example of what alot of biker dad's are like. I was raised by a biker who would be in and out of messy relationships, but my Aunt's and Uncle's were some of the best family I have ever had. They are some of the kindest people if you get to know them past their rough exterior

Biking to school could actually be a pretty bad experience. She may have had to bring an extremely heavy backpack with her, especially if she had to bring textbooks back and forth. It may have been a long distance. She may have been all sweaty by the time she got to school and been stuck spending the whole school day with dirty clothes and oily hair.

Okay, getting sweaty and junk and having a large backpack is pretty valid for not wanting to go biking to school.
Sadly, if you live in the United States, there's a good chance your school is not close by and can't be reached safely by bike. It depends on where you live, but most of the United States is way too car-centric to safely bike (especially if you aren't used to it and don't know how to be safe).

Having grown up in a biker family and always being surrounded by bikers. I can tell you all the ones I’ve had in my life have been like Kenny. So nice to everyone and looks scary. It’s a treat to see a biker portrayed that way on a reality show. He seems like such a cool guy.
Honestly, it's nice to have someone actually likeable on this show, now, while I obviously get these shows are edited, Kenny came across really well here and it was genuinely lovely to see how close the family became by the end of it.
Please do an episode of “ It takes a church” the most cringe filled dating episode I have ever watched !

I live in 2008 so was converting music files in itunes, and the little chime it does when it's done converting had the best comedic timing - guy is saying the bike gets close to doing everything a woman does, you sat there with this look on your face, then itunes went "chime!". Perfect timing.
