Very similar to my 85 Scotty K20. Mine’s black with dark blue interior. Currently, painting two tone as well (apex blue pearl middle and black) staying with black Scottsdale trim And yes! JW lift it!
@@DavisDrives i found an all original one owner 85 in Colorado 12 years ago. 8600# 3/4 ton. Zero rust anywhere, no wires cut and spliced, always maintained properly.
I have an 87 k5, manual windows. I picked up parts off of a power truck to swap everything but after thinking about it if I sink it and it shorts, I can’t get them down. I have r12 in the ac still so I have that going for me
1985 was the first year for the grille, headlight bezels, windshield wiper blades, & windshield wiper arms with those designs. Also new for 1985 was the base 4.3 litre V6 which replaced the previous base 250 inline six.
@DavisOffRoad1 what's interesting is all of the square body models that were produced & sold to the US Army from 1984 - 1987 had the 1983 - 1984 single headlight bezel & grille designs. I'm surprised they still produced those grilles & headlight bezels in 1985 - 1987 wow. The models were CUCVs "commercial utility cargo vehicles" & were all 4 wheel drive diesels. They came in plain cab pickup, K5 Blazer, & ambulance models. All of the pickups & ambulances were one ton models.
@@davidpotter7484 it was around that time and it sure pissed some people off with that change... made the tool and fastener guys happy though to sell more product
Oh man.. I'd love to be able to import that here to the Bahamas.. sadly our customs department requires us to purchase vehicles under 10 years of age.. and no salvage titles either.
Way better than the last red squarebody lol. I hate red. But I like that truck. If you're thinking about ordering a new dash pad do it now. Took 8 months to get mine. I guess with all these comments I need to subscribe . But im scared you're going to make me spend money.
Nice. I’ve got a 85 C20 with the 454/400 14 bolt rearend Silverado with 40,000 original miles. Sat in a barn for 25 yrs.
That’s a gem right there for sure
You always do a great job discussing the trucks. Keep up the good work and thank you.
Thanks 👍 we appreciate the support
Now that’s what a Square Body pickup should look like
Wow getting back to basics!❤
She is very original for sure
Nice clean unit, tires and rims added- be exceptional
We think so too, but trying to leave at least one of them alone lol
That’s definitely a nice looking truck JW
Thanks

Think this one is gonna slip away stock, but that’s OK plenty more to come to do our touches
I"ve got one, bought it brand new, still have it and it looks just like when I bought it.
Nice your lucky
It’s a gold mine as you probably know you don’t find them stock and original EVER these days

It’s crazy they didn’t have a shortage in those years supplying The government with so many of them.
Also, first year for metric fasteners in certain locations, i believe.

Thanks for sharing
You bet!
I still have that same AC Delco stereo in my K20 Scottsdale. Judging by the tape door wear in the video, it doesn't appear to have seen much use.
Sure doesn’t looks pretty original low use still
Beautiful!👍
Thank you very much!
Please leave it stock. Does this truck have the code G80 locking differential and if so, what is the gearing? Thanks
We can check

Title is clean but it is obviously to old

😂😂 we are fortunate on the dash we keep them in stock. And feel free to subscribe we’ll just tempt you pretty hard to spend some money lol
What color red was that in 85? I’m thinking it’s just the lighting. But looks way different than I remember? Beautiful ride. I’m liking the price!
Yes, this one is a deal
Is that big block fuel lines I see on the frame?
Small block 350
I see that small block but I believe that the fuel lines are for big block
I wonder if the 8ht digit from the left to right is a w
We can sure check
Small block 350 will be L for regular or M for Heavy Duty
My uncle had a 86 K10 Scottsdale same color from the factory.
Nice great color combination
Can’t wait to see it on the web I like original old school stuff Chevy and ford s
It’s live davis4x4.com
Extra nice truck for this price point
Yes it does need a lift and tires
They all do
Decent price. I expected it to be 10 above that. Tx prices for square bodies went off the rail.
This truck is an absolute giveaway to the right person that can appreciate what it is
Beautiful truck, 😍
It sure was
Nice!
Thanks!
400 SBC? Awesome either way! It's probably too new for the 400
350
@@DavisDrivesgotcha I didn't realize it was an 85.
That's cool!
Really neet truck
I would consider trading my FJ Cruiser to that truck.
that old boy needs a new set of front springs they r bowed over
