I'm so upset it's the last episode I was so happy watching it every night, thanks for putting this on youtube, I suppose I better start again from episode one, I wish it was the 80s again.
I can watch this repeatedly and never get tired of it. In my opinion this is the best programme I have ever watched. Every time I watch it it's like the 1st time. I love it. I watched every episode/seasons in the 80s I miss those days. Thank you so much for uploading these wonderful unbeatable series. So very grateful.
Loved watching one episode a night looked forward to it 😊 in my 60s and long for that time again not this shit world we are in now we're the young have no reference to anything unless it's online no passport to go out to enjoy yourself ..the freedom we had the lovely shops and of course great comedy a big thanks for putting this up ..
Also, I didn't want my comment to be lonely. A brilliant series. The humour seems a bit constructed these days, but back in the day, it had me rofling.
This series is utterly charming. I missed it first time out, but have picked it up by way of Forces TV and here on YT. Paul Bown and Emma Wray were fantastic in their roles with Patsy Bryne, John Bowler and Liza Tarbuck immense. The attention to detail - the bike mechanics and the birdwatching is marvellous. It hasnt aged at all. Current sitcom writers should take note about how it could and should be done.
Ah, I’ve paused at 21:11…. Found this again after so many years and just about to complete watching for the second time in a month.. What a joy, well written in a time that we all know and love…just fantastic. Like Still Game and Only Fools and Frost, the last episode is tearful… it all comes together well… Farewell Brenda, Malcolm and friends and family… we will watch again… ❤️
Absolutely love the tender moment between Marje and Brenda when Marje finally accepts Brenda and makes peace with her. Comes across very believable as Marje saw how things were not right with Malcolm and Lucinda and it is Brenda makes him happy.
loved this series as a guy from wirral i know all the places this was filmed i often walk there . Emma's a darling and always will be in my book ( us wollybacks have to stick together ) . and paul is fantastic these two worked perfectly in this . thank you x
We’ve got through the labyrinth, suffered & celebrated with our beloved characters, and made it to the end; this finale episode both leaves me still wanting more, and leaves me happy they’re finally hitched (and will hopefully live happily ever after)… Can’t say I was happy to see Terry again, though! I cannot stand that git! I’m glad David’s the Best Man! That speech, though; oh Malcolm, shut up! 😣
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, though I was never a fan of binge-watching myself - I recall bingeing on The Office (US) years ago, the result of which was/is that I will never watch it again. But then, there's hugely more episodes involved, well over 200 if memory serves. Over-rated as well imo.
@@mojojomo6750 right there with you, regards 'The Office' (be it the US or UK version). I cannot stand either show! Gotta say, though, that when it’s a show I love, I’m a huge fan of binge-watching 🤓🥰❤️
Loved this series back in the day......... And as others have noted, it has aged well. I had such a crush on Emma Wray.......(Still have, truth be told ❤❤) (Edit: Couldn't place the "Minister"..... Ian McNiece of course....Doc Martin.)
Thank you for uploading this series by the way. I liked it but didn't love it but I did find it lost me from series 5 to 7, it just didn't hit as well for me as it's first 4 series. I liked the lowkey feel of the early first series as the budget got bigger it lost that homely feel it had with three or four locations. Malcolm's marriage and Malcolm/Brenda off and on became tiring for me and some new characters took away for me then added to the shows good side. Plus I didn't like the episode when both sisters cheated on holiday in Series 7 that left a bad taste. Pamela's character turn from funny side character to annoying snob was a bad move by writers. I would definitely recommend a watch. Emmy Wray made what could have been a dislikeable character in Brenda into a likeable one with her charm and charisma (although I hated when she cut her long hair). She's definitely the biggest reason to watch this show. But it also depends on whether you like Brenda's type of humour. Paul Bown was likeable as Malcolm. Patsy Byrne as Malcolm's overbearing mother was great. Liza Tarbuck was great too especially in the early series, but she couldn't really make amends for the writers ruining her character. I give it a B-.
@@shaunkay6480 She travelled a lot and put acting behind her and taught children in Thailand. she is back in Birkenhead again looking after children, which is good. Someone met her in London and was shocked by her appearance, she unfortunately does not look anything like she did in Watching! Very sad, she was so pretty and talented, I really liked her and her amazing talent as an actress.
@@tempest957 oh really? That's bad for her, i saw a picture of her from 10 years ago when she considered a return to acting, i dont think she looked that bad. Maybe her lifestyle at the time was taking a toll on her apperance. I heard she liked a drink and some other stuff. Hopefully she is living a good life now and is happy. Fame isn't for everyone i suppose
The irritating speed-adjustment (from 0:45) became this watch finale's irritation! . . . . . .Shame, after watching the whole 6 series +, to have THIS disappointment as their 'lack-lustre'' finale!
Sorry I have nothing against the actress. As she was great as Sheila's friend Kathy in Brookside. But in the last two series of watching the mother really got on my nerves 😱😱😱
Just revisited the whole series, I loved it when it was on, and it has aged to perfection . glad it’s not forgotten and has a few fans out there.
I'm so upset it's the last episode I was so happy watching it every night, thanks for putting this on youtube, I suppose I better start again from episode one, I wish it was the 80s again.
That’s exactly what I’m doing after this episode :-)
That's what I'm going to do
it's what I'm going to do as well.
Me too
Thank you for putting this series on TH-cam . It has been a breath of fresh air. British comedies are the best.

My most favourite comedy ever, script cast all fantastic.
An absolute delight! Both happy and sad at the end. Such a great series!!!
I'm a new watcher, and I can that this series brought so much joy to so many. Laughter....the best.

Loved binge watching these. Gerald was my favourite character. Thank you so much.
Loved watching this so sad the series has ended... brought back so many memories... 🙂
So, so good. What a journey for Malcolm and Brenda. It's a little sad to watch the last one. I wish that more episodes had been made.
this needs a one off follow up...... loved our bren n malc :)

She look truly amazing in her wedding dress & the best place to have a reception The Grapes
Many thanks for this didn't see it all back when it was on. Took me back, very much enjoyed.

I think she lives on the Wirral so you may see her knocking about
Thanks for putting this up, it's been a real pleasure re watching it,
They should revisit this sitcom now in 2021
Yes!,,,
Thank you for all these. :)
Love it!
thank you so much!
Brilliant thank you ❤

@NostalgiaBrit I'm not a fan of the office either. All my favourite programmes i get on dvd so we don't have to wait a week for the next episode
Its was a great show, but the cheating in the last episode ruined it all for me.
The ending leads nicely into "Stay Lucky".
I love this program so much ❤️ and I still have a crush on Pamela
The cheating ruined everything and destroyed the series couldn't enjoy the last episode after that.

I see Emma Wray's and Ian McNeice's (played the Minister in this Episode ) paths crossed in the comedy drama series Stay Lucky in series 4.

Was that Billy Mitchell as the best friend?
Yes it was. He was in the first 2 series of this comedy and I think was one if his first major roles.
