Your love for "just on the cusp of horrid-sounding" guitar is so relatable.

Joel Korte is the best pedal engineer on these days... the different stuff you can do in the pedal is amazing. But even the simple analog delay sounds awsome. Congratulations and keep delaying... =)

Joel, you're so delightfully awkward that I almost cried laughing. I love your company's attitude and creativity and humor and I will have one of your pedals (either tonal recall, brothers, or both) some day!

On the cusp of horrid sounding is definitely where the magic is, Joel. I played with Tonal Recall for about an hour at Regent Sounds in UK on my last trip there in Dec. That thing is a black hole of sonic beauty. I'm picking one up in a few days and plan on holing up in a dark room, no sleep or food, for about a month until I master the functionality of this beast. Your pedals are truly unique. Thanks for existing and creating pedals for weirdos like me.

I, too, stumbled down this TH-cam rabbit hole. And I, too, want one of these. Haha.

Boards Of Canada are one of my favs bands of all time.
I had a feeling this pedal is inspired by Boards Of Canada after hearing it and seeing the turquoise knobs.
In fact my entire room is painted with turquoise because of Boards Of Canada... lol.

I just ordered a Tonal Recall. The main selling point for me was that my presets would be snuggly in their home. VERY important. I can't freaking wait to make some snuggly presets.

Dayvan Cowboy is one of the best songs ever...love the pedal just wondering ,can you do more presets if you have a midi controller or is it 2 max?

Dude so that’s actually a multi effect pedal , I mean at some point it had reverb and some sort of not pitching in there ...... and it remembers what you did !!!! Crazy!!!!

someone help me out because I'm not sure if I'm making this a bigger deal than it needs to be. a few things.
This pedal doesn't do L/R, correct? just a mono delay?
That's generally fine, since guitar is a mono instrument. If the amp is mic'd into the mains, then it really doesn't matter if it's stereo or mono. But if you had 2 different amps, with the left/right going to different amps, you could achieve a more spacious sound, assuming each amp was mic'd and panned and all that. but ok, how often do we do that.. not often, and I only have 1 amp.
But for keyboards.. which, unless a monosynth or some analog synths, they're stereo instruments. So... would this pedal then force the keyboard into a mono signal?
furthermore, would the delay not sound as spacious as a mono delay compared to stereo delay, even on a mono-synth?
These are probably dumb questions, but I figured I'd spam a few Tonal Recall vids and ask. Absolutely killer pedal. The dip switches and options really do set it apart from other analog delays.

So your base point...when changing dip switches...is where the knobs are currently set? Kinda like expression pedal calibration on most pedals?

I'm eternally grateful that you are not 'good' on the guitar (as you say). That way, we hear the true beauty of the pedal, not the true ugliness of some bloke showing of his chops. Bravo, your pedals float above the rest, on a gleaming cloud of sonic invention. One day, I hope to be able to afford one...

wow, if anyone has even the slightest clue what "ramping" means on this pedal and how the controls work in relation to that, my hat is off to you..this pedal makes zero sense whatsoever...there's not clear explanation as to what ramping even IS on this pedal..the manual gives this explanation: "dip switches on the right side control whether or not the parameters will rise (go clockwise in ramp mode, uh, what is ramp mode?) or fall (go counterclockwise in ramp mode)...huh???

    • @ChaseBlissAudio
      @ChaseBlissAudio  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Lance,
Apologies my friend. Here is a really good video for introduction to ramping - I bet after you watch this you'll understand it... it's the same concept for all Chase Bliss pedals: th-cam.com/video/RbOHgzBUsP0/w-d-xo.html
