Hi Jepoy, I would like to share my experience to you as well since we both have similar experiences. Last July 9,2022, I applied in IAU (my ex school) in Cebu City. 1 week before my flight, my dog gave me a small scratch to my left arm. I didn't expect that the wound is deep, I don't have a choice but to go on because I already booked my round trip ticket. Moving on to the day of the assessment, I only survived the 1st stage and got eliminated early because of that small scratch. I flew back home the next morning. I was sad because of that tiny scratch and I always blaming myself for being too careless. Two months later, PAL Express announced that there will be a Walk-In Interview in Davao City which is my hometown. I know this is crazy but as far as I can remember, applicants are requested to wait 6 months to re-apply. Since that day was my birthday, I don't wanna miss the chance and I will do everything whatever it takes. This time, Sir Leonides changed the rules, If you pass the Final Impact Interview which is the 4th stage of the assessment, then you have a 95% chance to pass the EPI. I even reached the final interview of the assessment, I spent 12 hours that day without eating because I want to focus to the final level. Over 300+ applicants tried apply, only 93 applicants we're able to reach stage 2 to stage 5. I was the 93rd applicant, I was the last person to be interviewed that day. By the time I entered the room, my world turned upside down because the assigned Interviewer was the one who rejected me last 2 months ago in Cebu City. I was frightened because I knew that there's a high chance that I would get caught that I didn't wait for 6 months to re-apply. I answered all of his questions with humility and confidence, I can still remember the other applicants told us that they're gonna ask us only 2-3 questions, but they asked me 5-6 questions. I still remain calm but the way he looks at me I feel like he knows that I'm the guy who tried to apply not too long ago. But I think he is finding a way to eliminate me. He asked me "Are you sure this is your first time applying here?" I got cornered and I don't have a choice, if I don't tell the truth there is a high chance that they would make me blacklisted lol. So, I tell them the truth. I said "NO". His face got pissed off in a professional way, and the final verdict was a FAIL and he told me to wait 6 months If I am still interested. I was devastated, traumatized but I will never give up no matter what happens. I will promise that I will be back stronger and maybe the best revenge that I can do for him is to pass the final interview next time.

Btw, These are the things that I’ve learned during that day within the 5 stages of the assessment: 1. STAGE 1 - Go See - If the interviewer asked your NAME,COURSE,SCHOOL AND (ONE WORD THAT BEST DESCRIBES YOU, YOUR FAVORITE COLOR, YOUR MOTTO IN LIFE OR WHY DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A CABIN CREW?) - Never give a common answer, I realized there is no RIGHT and WRONG answers here. In my case “WHY DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A CABIN CREW?” - Some applicants said “BECAUSE I WANT TO TRAVEL THE WORLD”, “BECAUSE THIS IS MY DREAM JOB” etc. Never say these phrases because they heard this over a thousand times. - Never add any information, ONLY FOCUS TO THE GIVEN QUESTIONS, if they did not asked you WHERE YOU CAME FROM, WHAT’S YOUR WORK, NEVER MENTION THAT. Because they will think that SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS, CANNOT FOLLOW. 2. Stage 2 - Medical - This stage is the most easiest stage in my opinion, you don’t have to worry if you’ve reached the standards. You will be automatically passed if your height and weight are proportional. 3. Stage 3 - Group Dynamics - This stage will test on how you communicate with others and also they would like to see on how you do teamwork with your co-worker. - Be Humble, don’t show you’re overconfident, and listen to the opinion of others. Stage 4 - Final Impact Interview - This stage is the most crucial part of the process. - ACTIVE LISTENING, If the interviewer is talking to you in TAGALOG, might as well you reply in TAGALOG. That was one of my mistakes because even though he’s talking in Tagalog, I still replied in ENGLISH. - Be mindful of your posture, your body language, and the most important of all, YOUR SMILE. - Be yourself, Be Honest because they will get questions from your resume. - Research about PAL/PAL EX, because he asked me to explain the company. Luckily, I did my research. Stage 5 - EPI - In my case, the rules have changed, if you pass the final impact interview, then you’re automatically passed here. I asked my fellow applicants who passed and they told me that Mr. Leonides will only ask you what else you can do? Maybe he wants to see your hidden talent.

Mag apply ka ulet sir Jepoy push lng. I know the feeling nung waiting time. 😅 Last 2013 nkapasa ako sa panel interview or visual or impact kung ano man tawag don. I waited 3 months akala ko wala na 2 lng kasi kme nkpasa sa room then they called me after 3 months.. Nkakatawa lng masa ibang bansa na ako at nkpasa sa ibang airline 😅 antagaaal ko mag hintay kung mabilis lng sana sila i would have been employed by pal na ngyun kasama ung other guy na nkpasa kasabay ko. Pero ok lng din nkakatuwa pa din ung experience ko sa ibang bansa. Try mo din kaya mag apply let's say Qatar Airways I think they will come back soon. Good luck sayo.
