I have a pair of Oakley det cord safety glasses with Oakley prescription lenses. I noticed that the ones in this video are stamped with the safety rating, mine with the prescription lenses are not stamped with rating, only with the oakley logo. Is that how they are supposed to be.
Hello, do the Oakley ShockTube safety glasses come with optional clear lenses? Also, I wear progressive prescription glasses since I can't see close or far away. Are you able to grind progressive RX into the ShockTube lenses? I will be using them for woodworking, which includes a wide range of chip, dust and debris ejecting power tools. Thank You Mark Nicholson Former, US Army - EFMB, Combat Medical Specialist 1/94 FA MLRS
Knowing Oakley it is really good brand. I always love them but the price is too much. So I switched Softgle Comfort which gives the same function. I always love the glasses with anti fog, anti scratch plus gives you a clearer vison!
HI, I bought the SI BALLISTIC M FRAME 3.0, Blk today. I'm a registered nurse who work with COVID patients, I just want to ask how I can safely disinfect the frame without damaging the lenses and not scratching it and keeping the anti fog coating inside? I received a bottle of anti fog spray material.
Hi guys! I heard Oakley is coming out with a few brand new safety glasses? Do you know if thats true? Any idea when that will be?? btw, thanks for all videos - they are so helpful. I only purchase my shades from you. 😎 you guys rock!
Thanks for the support, Carl! Oakley is introducing some clear and transition shields in some of their more popular sport frames like the Radar EV Path, Jawbreaker, and Flak 2.0 XL. We placed an order and it is slowly starting to trickle in. We have not hear any news of a brand new safety model though. If you need it to be ANSI rated, we would go with the Det Cord, Tombstone Spoil or M frame 2.0. Hope this helps!
YES! We would love to help you out with that. Please contact one of our certified opticians via phone or live chat for more information on Oakley Det Cord lenses: www.sportrx.com/contact
Oakley's lab can accommodate up to a -6.00 (total power) in the Det Cord thanks to their HTD Edge II expanded Rx range. I would recommend you reach out to our friendly, knowledgeable opticians for all the guidance you'll need at 888-831-5817
Hi there! The closest thing to a gasket that Oakley offers would be the shocktube: www.sportrx.com/oakley-shocktube-si-ballistic.html I am not saying this is a true gasket option but it does offer slightly more protection on the top, bottom, and sides of the frames. th-cam.com/video/Kvjk7usUAe0/w-d-xo.html&feature=emb_title
Hi Damien! Because it's ANSI rated it does require a bit more effort to swap out the lenses. We encourage having a licensed optician perform the interchange the first time to prevent damage to the frame and/or lenses. Once you see how much pressure to apply and at what areas, you can likely perform your own lens interchange thereafter. Hope this helps!
Hi there! The lenses on the Det Cord are pre-treated with anti-fog coating. I cannot speak to the other frames there but if you would like to find the best frame for your needs you can always contact one of our certified opticians here: www.sportrx.com/contact
z87.1, z87+ doesn't cut it. See: Hong Kong 2019 Protests against the Chinese Communist Party - protesters were shot in the head and eyes by paramilitaries with rubber bullets. Civilian versions just don't cut it.
According to our SportRX Frame Width measuring system they both clock in at 138. You can learn more about SFW here: th-cam.com/video/MGTuNILZVzE/w-d-xo.html
Hi there! The Oakley Plutonite lenses offered in this frame are not scratch resistant. Plutonite is a high grade polycarbonate which makes it amazing for impact protection but it can still scratch. On the flip side a glass lens won't scratch but it is very dangerous to wear in a workplace since it has very little impact protection. Glass lenses are not offered in Oakley frames for that very reason. Hope this helps!
Please I wouldn’t pay that much for them glasses they hustling you people just look at them and the way they talk know way they are worth the money and I dare them to challenge me! Unless you have money to throw away cool!
Hey there, Graham here from SportRx. When it comes to safety glasses, I understand that some people are fine opting for whatever brand of protection eyewear they can find at Home Depot, Lowes, or the local hardware store. I've worked a fair amount of construction, so I've definitely used these options myself. But, when it comes to "prescription safety glasses" for the job site, those cheaper options are not going to come in Rx. You can wear them over your Rx glasses, but that can be uncomfortable and awkward. If you're the type that likes to have one dedicated pair of prescription frames for the job site, going with a trusted brand like Oakley, Wiley, etc. is a solid bet. My experience is also that higher quality brands tend to do a much better job with anti-fogging and clarity. With that said, to each their own. Cheers!

Just to clarify, the ESS URX Insert will convert the M Frame 2.0 to prescription. It also fits the M Frame 3.0

The set cord frame looks great!!!
We think so too!
Yeah, how much does the frame cost
Hopefully Oakley will one day make auto darkening lenses.
Duuuude. Yes.
Am I able to change the lens to a different color for the SI BALLISTIC M FRAME 3.0, Blk?
Oakley glasses more expensive than your red wing boots
I can get a brand new pair of Oakley gascans for $66
The ones y’all can NON-Rx (namely the M-frames) you can get a prescription insert.
Are the prescription lenses, in the det cord, anti-fog?
Shocktube and detcord can they also be photochromic?
Been waiting for my det cords to arrive from the mail.
Awesome! If you ordered them from SportRx, you can always check up on your order with a certified optician here: www.sportrx.com/contact

I wish all Oakley frames had a clear lens option.
On the Det cord can I get clear prescription lenses with y'all cause Oakley told me that they don't do that anymore with the Det cords?
YES! We would love to help you out with that. Please contact one of our certified opticians via phone or live chat for more information on Oakley Det Cord lenses: www.sportrx.com/contact
does the oakley det cord can fit -4.50 prescription? or do I need an adapter to avoid fish bowl effect?

What is a pare to ware on the beach
Does the Mframe or any of these have a good seal at the top? I'm looking for something snug to wear in hospital.

How easy is it to replace lenses on the DET cord ANSI?

is the det cord impact rated? looking at it for range safety glasses?
Yes it is. It meets ANSI standards for high mass and high velocity impact
So the batwolfs aren’t certified ?
Yes, that is correct.
How is the fogging? I always had issue with safety glasses fogging super annoying

Thinking about buying me a pair after watching this video! Do you have a promotional code by any chance I would appreciate it.
Hi there! We are currently offering 30% off rx Oakleys!
Great video thanks
And thank YOU for tuning in!
They should make some that stop rubber bullet or you should have a rubber bullet test

Flak 2 are the best for me.
That is a great choice and although it would meet and exceed most safety tests, the frame is not ANSI stamped.
Det Cord bigger in size than the Shocktube? I can't tell

I was looking forward to more nerf bullets for testing. Thumbs down 👎 for this.
Lol jokes. Awesome intro tho.
Ha! Thanks for the love!
150$ for a pair of safety glasses, a big NO for me.
I buy them because I want my everyday sunglasses to be my shooting sunglasses. So they need to work and look good.
Surely cheaper then replacing a eye 🤷♂️
Should be prescription at that price
