Just ordered a sample of every product that you used 😭💕 I honestly think my hair is struggling from protein overload even though I was doing it every other wash (I have low porosity hair btw) so it’s been a long time since i’ve had a good wash n go to last days.. but i’m determined to get it back right
Unless your hair is bleached or severely damaged, you really shouldn’t ‘need’ it beyond every 2 months. Regardless of your porosity.
@@denyshadials5702 wrong. Some people have very porous hair growing on their head and it's won't be you picking up the pieces of hair with your one size fits all advice

You can agree to disagree, and no I’m responsible for anyone else’s hair (it’s social media-why would I be?..) but the information is sound.
Porosity is very ‘thrown around’ concept (as is dryness in natural hair-it’s really just texture) and most of the information about high and low porosity are both incorrect and misinterpreted.
So, as it was before either of us decided to comment, how much protein you put on your hair is your choice. Let’s just hope you don’t end up with overload like original commenter.
@@denyshadials5702 Porosity does not really have to do with texture. It's literally how your hair absorbs water. Texture is affected by many other things.
Anyway I get my hair advice from Pubmed, not from people arbitrarily throwing around timelines because I don't pretend to have another person's hair. Protein is good. Try if your hair tolerates it. For porous hair, it's a game changer(at least according to journals)
And no- unless you publish papers, your information is still anecdotal and not as sound as you think

Those published articles are just as anecdotal, such is the world of research. Especially since very few of those samples include natural hair.
The reason I brought up texture is because many assume they have naturally higher porosity due to dryness levels, before, during and after styling. What they think is dryness is really just the feeling of their texture.
Also note, I never said protein wasn’t necessary. I suggested not using it more than every 2 months, due to time it takes for healthy hair to adjust to protein-that’s how this whole conversation started.

This wash 'n go was lit. I have a question though. I have low porosity hair would the rice pudding leave-in still do my hair the way it's supposed to be done? And you know I love the smell of chai tea!!! ReignGang💙
It has moisturizing ingredients, but also protein, do you have products you like that have protein? Then you’ll probably be fine. If you’re really protein sensitive, I’d avoid it.
I loveeeee it .. I wish I could use this gel but my hair doesn’t react well to gel based products for some reason 🥴 gels immediately dry my hair out.. I just always use hair lotions on my curls with a heavy moisturizer

If moisture goes into your hair fast and leaves fast, it’s probably high porosity. When you wash your hair, do you have to stand there for several minutes saturating it? When you look at your hair wet but with no product, do you see water droplets sitting on top? If yes to those two, it’s probably low porosity
