Canada's debt to GDP is lowest of any G7. The deficit has dropped from a Covid high of 200 billion to 80 billion to 40 billion and to 30 billion last year. And MOST of that was demands by the provinces for more money.
AND that one time increase was to bail out the canadians who would now be homeless in the millions because the provinces closed down their economies.
AND that debt increase was fully supported by the conesrvatives who even complained that he wasn't getting the money out there fast enough.
AND the deficit right now for the entire country is less than what ontario or alberta had for the past six years.

As difficult as it is to listen to Justin, the conversation does reveal the severe degree to which he is removed from both real life for Canadians and what we want. He does seem to truly believe he knows better what’s best for us and that we are incapable of fathoming it all. It must be a mystery to him how we ever muddled our way through life before he arrived on the scene.

    • @mikearchibald744

Thats a silly comment. As he said, a carbon tax is a CONSERVATIVE idea. Its endorsed by EVERY conservative economist and every oil industry player AND even most major conservative party members. It WAS endorses by O'toole, so they booted him out o fthe party. we know about ONE THIRD of the country are the conservatives who don't even think climate change is real.
That leaves 2/3, and we had NO problem with a carbon tax where we personally MADE money. That would be CRAZY to reject such a plan.
So you most certainly do not know what canadians want. And ironically, the demographic talking most about polls now are the same demographic that used to say "you know, sometimes governmetns have to bring in tough legislation that peopel don't like".

1)He doesnt believe a word of what hes saying. He deflects, digresses and can never admit his fault or his partys faults. It takes a big man to apologize ,even bigger to accept that one has made a mistake.
2)Pierre can focus on trudeaus faults because thats the job of the oppositition.Trudeau can pretend and say hes fighting for canadians and not focused on pierre because a)He takes himself way too seriously and cant think on his feet quick enough to come up with a witty reply.b)hes created all the problems and now he wants us to applaud his make believe efforts which always start with saying "we are rolling up our sleeves"
3)In the entire history of canadian politics,no man has ever become PM because of his fathers last name and no other qualification. Its partly also not his fault because for 8 years people around him convinced him that his looks and demeanor were enough and now hes confused when they say its not.We propped his ego up and now we dont get to complain about it.
4)On alberta, trudeau has an uncanny contempt for the blue collar, oil and rigs workers. His father tried to actively destroy the province, hes only fulfilling the legacy. With his lunatic climate czar minister he has purposely kept alberta in the shadows. That one province can make canada rich enough to where canada has a comfortable monetary cushion to solve all its problems and also help climate change in the process.
5)Imagine sitting on a gold mine and looking somewhere else for a business case. Its because his pathological need to be admired, his woke pro green scam is preferred by the elites, the wef cabal who would rather a civilization go bankrupt but pat themselves on the back doing it.
6)Canada's oil and gas can reduce emissions on a global scale, bring down entire continents dependency on coal which will also help canada's climate, but instead trudeau chooses to penalize his citizens who are in a country that emits 0.2 percent of the worlds emissions and then taxes them for wishing a good life to make a living for themselves in -50 weather with a car.
The reason he does that is because he has contempt for those who want to make an effort to better themselves because he never had to make that effort. This while he and his colleagues constantly travel via private planes causing more emissions than entire canadian provinces put together.
The more he can get the govt to control everything and the more he can control the govt, he can make citizens make him the messiah, the leader the great savior. Ultimately it stems from his pathological narcissistic worldview and obsession to be admired for virtue he has made no effort to attain. This is a manchild, a serpent who will devour himself ,if he was made of chocolate, would eat himself. • @mikearchibald744
      @mikearchibald744 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

YOu are most certainly not a liberal.
      1. More than any PM Trudeau gets hounded because he's apologized SO many times that people say he cant mean it. Which MAY be true, but before him what PM have you heard apologize for ANYTHING?
      2. The job of the opposition is NOT to attack the PM but to oppose government policy when it feels it is appropriate. When the conservatives just voted with the liberals to kill the National Citizens Assembly on Electoral Reform that wasn't opposing. When the voted with the liberals to kill the attempt to tax wealth over 200 million that wasn't opposition.
The idea that TRudeau or Trudeau's govenrment has caused 'all our problems' is NUTS.
      3. That didn't even make sense. Trudeau was elected beause he promised electoral reform, he promised to legalize cannabis, he promised to govern differently, and promised resolve the climate issues. THe ones he DIDN"T do were why he then LOST the popular vote in the next two elections.
But in the latter ones he campaigned with affordable child care, but also got votes because unlike the conservatives, most people agree that climate change exists.
      4. Thats lunacy on Alberta. The 20 billion pipeline about to go into service is a greater federal investment than ANY province in canada has EVER gotten. During covid Alberta got more federal money than ANY province. And canada gets NO royalties from oil. It gets income tax from the workers, thats it. All other federal money is for first nations reserves.
      5. You MOST definitely are not liberal with that WEF garbage. The WEF is the face of globalization. Stephen Harper brought in SEVEN free trade agreements, Trudeau did ONE. Stephen Harper sold off SIX national resource firms to foreign investors.
      6. Canadas oil and gas has not even gotten the two provinces where they come from off coal. Alberta and Saskatchewan are the ONLY two provinces still using coal. The rest of canada pays carbon taxes FOR Alberta and Saskatchewan. EVERY other province in the country has had falling emissions for twenty years.
A recent scientific study over the oil sands shows that emissions are 600% higher than corporations are reporting. That was done by scientists for Science magazine using ACTUAL emissions, if they were lying, the oil industry could sue their asses off. Alberta emits more air pollution than the entire rest of the country put together.
Canada's natural gas ALREADY goes to europe. It just goes via the US.
Your conclusion is written like a crazy person. The PM in a minority government has way less power than ANY PM in history. Not only does his legsilation have to be accepted by his party, but by at least one other party, then the senate, and affirmed by the courts to ensure they do not interfere with provinces rights. We've LITERALLY seen this in about three cases, which doesn't come anywhere near the twelve cases of his predecessor.

Well with the tabling of bill C-63 (Online harms bill), now we know why he was priming the conversation the way he did in this interview. ..And in true underhanded LIEberal fashion it's all pitched as a bill that protects children. To be fair, parts of the bill do indeed intend to protect children from online harms and I have no disagreements with those specific clauses.
However, JT wants to impose $70,000 fines and up to life in prison based on a very vague definition of "hate speech". The younger folks on here praising this modern day commie dictator because in a rare display of coherence, he was able to form full sentences that weren't completely fractured by frequent "umms" and "ughs" would do well to start learning about early 20th century authoritarianism. Bill C63 (if it passes as drafted) will be the start of a societal collapse where, through fear, people will begin to turn on each other in a manner not seen since the Russian Revolution or Mao's Great Leap Forward or Nazi Germany. If you think it's only the speech you don't like that will be affected, think again. This bill (in its current form) removes the ability for anyone to advocate for any civil liberty if the government does not agree with the intent. One of the first things that became apparent is that all comedy may soon be unlawful. A joyless socialist Utopia. Bit of an oxymoron, no? Is that really what you want to vote for? Trudeau is deceptive but he's not clever. Spot the lies and vote this guy out.
I predict in the coming weeks the LIEberals will frame any opposition to C63 as "being against the protection of children".

'As Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in an interview Wednesday, “The world is changing, and it’s not a plot by eastern bastards. The world is looking at net-zero right now, and Alberta can be part of that. But right-wing ideology is getting in the way of Alberta’s success right now.”
He’s right, not that anyone here in Alberta will listen to what he’s saying. The biggest impediment to the industry’s long-term success - and by extension, the prosperity of Albertans and Canadians - is a conservative echo chamber that simply refuses to acknowledge the existence of an energy transition, much less its implications for a higher-emitting jurisdiction like Alberta. “Governments should get out of the way of Albertans actually innovating and creating that better future that they can work, build, and deliver,” Trudeau said. Instead, it seems likely that said conservative governments will continue obstructing any and all efforts to get with the program here, whether that’s by fighting federal regulations or imposing moratoriums on the development of clean energy.'

This man says things like “the budget will balance itself” and “the economy is not numbers, it’s people”. The best one “I admire China for its basic dictatorship”. The budget will balance itself is a CONSERVATIVE mantra, been preached for DECADES, its the entire philosophy BEHIND conservativism. Its hysterical to hear conservativs shout it like its bad, they are literally deriding their own economic outlook on the world.
The economy is most certainly people, if its NOT, then it is totally illigitimate and you would be espousing communism. Is that what you are doing? If the economy is not designed for people then people serve the economy which is nothing short of slavery.
And his china quote you take out of context and is amusing because of course POllievre ALREADY talks more like a dictator and most conservaties are rabid for a majority government, which by definition is more tyrannical than what we have.

Let's see. The UCP blew money on one sided panels and committees, which are stacked with their Conservative friends. The UCP hired 20, or more of their Conservative friends, for pointless positions, which pay in between $100,000 per year to $250,000 per year. The UCP hired many more staff for their MLAs, at a great cost to Albertans, including Danielle Smith's staff of 34. The UCP created the largest provincial cabinet in Alberta's history, with 34 cabinet ministers, and associate ministers. The UCP have the most bulkiest provincial government in Alberta's history. Alberta has the highest rate of food bank usage in Canada, thanks to the UCP's bad policies. Instead of the UCP blowing $253,000 and $2 million on Preston Manning, who is a longtime supporter of the carbon tax, and is a retired career politician, with a substantial political pension, that money could help the vulnerable in Alberta. The UCP are good at wasting and losing exponential amounts of money on the most costliest debacles, and they did well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes, so far. The UCP have only carried on with the fiscal ineptitude and poor planning that the Alberta PCs did, ever since Peter Lougheed was no longer premier of Alberta.

Ryan. We all have our own personal bias. However, the way JT was not even considerate enough or brave enough to engage with Danielle shows his mode operandi that speaks loud and clear. JT needs to stop putting a bad light on the province of Alberta. It seems rather sneaky to me. All his glad handing is getting kind of tired. I try to watch many types of social media to be able to draw my own conclusions. Some of what JT offers is good and futuristic enough to matter. But someone who bashes another who may have different views in front of a mainstream media corporation after dolling out $$$$$$$ to them is rather tacky. Danielle talked about the slight and what seemed to me to be a very well thought out clarification of what the feds are saying about her speech last week. People need to stop watching what they think is their own bias and consider listening to others. Kind of a way a not so dysfunctional family would operate.
