Amazing analysis! But correlation ≠ causation. I wonder how much of the data that you collected had to do with the algorithm itself. For example, maybe there are more medium videos in the fyp because most people create medium-length content, rather than TikTok recommending them more. There are so many variables involved that it's hard to isolate them... we would need hundreds of data points to get a completely unbiased statistic.
This is a great point, in fact in reviewing the average length of posts from a few accounts I found that often they make short posts. It may also be that the algorithm was conditioned to mostly boosts smaller length posts just because that is what users mostly see and then like.
Well whatever he did and figured out he definitely knew what he was doing because he also was able to use this information to get 0 to 100000 followers on Tik Tok in a week without using his TH-cam to advertise it

It’s kinda interesting how the term “the algorithm” has changed over time. It used to mean what it actually means. Just a mathematical formula that assigns weight values and serves content accordingly. Now people talk about it as though it’s an actual living entity that makes intuitive decisions 😂
