Classy cute is the perfect way to put it! She totally gives off that vibe. It's not overly girly, it's mature and elegant, but not in the usual way. It still has her spunk. A perfect balance
I'm surprised you didn't mention that Hyuna has vasovagal syncope, which is a condition that can be caused by prolonged periods of starvation. She shared that she has the condition in ~2019, but it's likely that she's been suffering from it for a while. She said in one of her reality shows that she used to starve herself to keep her figure and "ruined" her body doing it. Hyuna's health problems in Wonder Girls may have also been connected to extreme food restriction. Hyuna is my ult and I've been a fan for a long time and I think many don't realize how extreme her dieting has been because she yoyo-ed so much and was frequently seen looking relatively healthy. For example, I was shocked when I first learned she was ~84 lbs during bubble pop because I thought she looked so healthy in the mv, but as we've seen here it was during promotions that she lost a ton of weight and reached that point. I think that could contribute to the public's flip-flopping on criticizing her weight-- they say she's too fat or too thin because she's frequently losing and gaining weight. (not an excuse, just an explanation for why the hate against her appears so inconsistent) As a long time fan I have a few other comments: 1) There's no way she's 5'5. In the Funny or Die skit she did with Rita Ora you can see that they're wearing the same height heel, yet Hyuna is several inches shorter. Rita Ora is 5'5, so Hyuna can't be 5'5. She also appeared on a reality show one time and revealed that the 5'5 number was a lie from her agency. I would guess that she is max 5'2, likely closer to 5'0. 2) I distinctly remember Hyuna getting sickly thin during the Now promotions with Troublemaker, and many fans and non-fans alike expressed concern for both her health and Hyunsueng's at the time. I don't look back on that time and think that it was one of her healthier looking eras, although I do agree she appeared to have a mindset shift regarding her persona around that time. 3) I absolutely cannot believe you described her as having excess weight at 26:17. I don't know what your intention was by wording it that way, but there has never been a point in her career when she had excess weight. She was literally still very skinny in the video you show on the left and during Hate 4) While Hyuna has expressed her desire to gain weight (because doing so would likely help with her vasovagal syncope), she also frequently makes comments suggesting that she wants to lose weight (e.g. needing to watch what she eats and needing to exercise to burn off what she has eaten). As a fan, I think it is accurate to say that she has very conflicted feelings about gaining weight, and I wouldn't say she's all the way to healthy unfortunately. She certainly looks healthier than the time she left Cube, but I don't think she looks fully healthy now. But I've always loved her and will always love her regardless. Please check out her comeback Nabillera 7/20/22!!
What do you think about her now? I think she’s gained a little weight now and I’m so happy to see her progress! I’m also a huge fan and your comment makes a lot of sense :)
@@heejinators7342 I think she looks very similar to the flower shower era, which is certainly good progress from where she’s been. Still hard to say whether she’s at a healthy weight, but it’s definitely better. The tricky thing is whether she will be able to maintain it this time around, as she tends to lose weight rapidly when stressed/while promoting. Her promotions this comeback were set very short/for just a week, unfortunately, and I hope it’s not because of health problems…
At some point she weigh at 38 to 39kg and I believe she is around 160 to 163 cm (This is around bubble pop era) Like what the hell ?? How on earth there is a person who weighs as light as her?? I'm really concerned on her so much but I'm happy that she is fine now with EDawn 💙 I hope that the society stops making unrealistic standards so that the people can live there own life happily without judging themselves

I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the work that you put into these videos. It must take alot of time and effort to put together a video like this. You give a summary of the idols career along with that of their weight. You are not judgemental to their decisions and you try to support them. Thank you for your hard work
I’m glad hyuna and dawn are still going strong. He seems to be a great influence on her and the two of them seem genuinely happy. Also pnation seems to live up to all the expectations! Let’s hope hyuna and dawn will continue to shine and stay happy! 🥰
I remebered (tho I don't know i it was true) that when she left cube. There was a letter on social media where Hyuna said her company forced to go into extreme diet, to make lots of workout and to practice even more than what was given in her schedule. For Hyuna, I personally believe that she wasn't influenced by fans directly but her company's previous management.
I don't know how many times I've watched this already. This is so inspiring and makes me love Hyuna even more. I literally went ' :D' when I saw this video in my subscription box even tho I know the it inside out :')
Also I think stress comes from hyuna understanding a more broader music range. She wants to have full artistic control and like some western artist back in early 2000s, they were 10 years ahead of their time. Or were criticized because they didnt fit into conventional standards and Korea is extreme with standards.
I swear she's never had a lot of support in her life but I'm glad that we didn't loose her like we lost Sulli I hope she's doing well and she's a really great person, I've always supported her since day 1
Hyuna is such an inspiration. She loves her family so much especially her mother. Someone with power whos a family oriented is really something. Her story really touched me that she works really hard to support her family. She has amazing and powerful character after all for me. Keep up the positive vibes Hyuna-ya. Your such a strong woman. And please be happy ❤️🤗
I've been listening to Hyuna before I knew what kpop was. She deserves the world and more for her hard work. I feel so bad that she had to go through so much, but she seems like shes much happier now than ever. I hope she and Dawn keep flourishing under Pnation, along with her dancers and stylist. 💕

I was a huge fan of 4Minute and Hyuna herself and I went to a small 4Minute fan showcase in Seoul in 2015 and I still remember she burts out crying on the stage because she was so thankful people had showed up 😔 Which I was also confused about because it was a small venue and I felt so lucky to get a ticket 😅 I really hope she’s doing okay now, she never deserved all that hate.
I am truly thankful to Pnation for taking Hyuna and Dawn in the company. Truly the best thing that could have happened to the both of them. They truly look happy and health now.
I still believe Lip & Hip was liked by the general public before she parted ways with Cube. I'm glad she's now with P-Nation & living her life with Dawn
When I was 10 getting into kpop I disliked her at first because of her image, but then I watched her at variety shows and she won my heart with how kind and adorable she came off as. She's incredibly sweet. I felt bad for misjudging her. Now I'm 20 and not her fan but I'm glad she left that wretched ass company. She deserved better.
I really liked Hyuna’s cute/bubbly side. If her company never pushed the sexy image she could’ve easily promoted with cute concepts if she wanted to. She was a huge reason as to why Cube is a big company now and they did her dirty in pretty much every way. I’m glad she’s living her best life now.
I think after her sick time she realised public is always going to pick and choose to love or hate her on situation. She realised that maybe. Why should she cower and not just live her life to potential? She is a beautiful women. Who she is on stage doesn't mean that's who she is in real life. Obviously it isnt but even if it was, you dont see her judging all of us so back off. Also, she does not need to spill her whole life to people so they understand her. People should just treat her with respect as words can hurt. Look at Sulli..
I'm early so I just wanted to say I really like your videos Not only does it help to raise awarness on those issues but you also made me discover several kpop artists ❤️

Thank you for doing this video, I follow her since 2012 more or less, and I always correct people when they talk about her with hate without even knowing her at all, she's working so hard to the bones but all those dumb prejudicial people say is that she's cheap and that knows nothing else than being sexy. And that's absolutely wrong, she worked so, so hard to improve herself and for her fans too, it's not fair that they judge someone that didn't even depended on herself but in the company, as if she was allowed to choose what to do and what not to. They just worry about the looks, in the end, instead of respecting the hard work of the people and their efforts for improvement. Hyuna deserves better.

Nowadays, everyone is a bandwagoner. If someone is getting hate, they automatically hop on and hate as well. They don’t have a backbone or an opinion of their own. I can proudly say I’ve always been a HyunA stan and have had her back 100% since I discovered her. Thanks to her, I got into Kpop in 2012. She’s so incredibly strong and I admire her so much. She’s paving the way for your faves but all you hormonal teenage girls care about is your oPpAs. Go to HyunA’s ig and send her some love! ❣️ she deserves it
I don't like the statement that Hyuna 'didn't have the the right to complain' I think she did. From my perspective CUBE were throwing her under the bus by not confirming she and Edawn were dating. They clearly had no respect for her feelings and potential for scandal, people were saying that she was 'cheap' if she wasn't dating Edawn and that it was a problematic relationship if they were just friends. She would get all that hate and scandal for something that wasn't true. I think she put her foot down but she has the right to complain against the way that Cube treated her. Clearly no one spoke to anyone and it was chaos.
Yk her health condition also affects her weight as well. She looked fine to me lip & hip era and those are some of her best solo stage performances. She didn't look sickly until triple h 2nd cb. The mount of hate Hyuna went through at such a toung age would break anyone. I'm glad she seems happier now and has a bf like Dawn to support her.
I'm sorry but the comments at 24:18 were really ridiculous. "I really like Hyuna but I don't find it charming for her to expose herself like this. I'm sure she has prettier shorts."??? You think she dressed herself???? Cube was sexualizing her yeah, but People were also having that mindset when they saw her like this. Instead of complaining to the company, they were putting hate on a person who didn't even have a say in a concept she didn't want. Like make up your minds. When you see an idol whos not slim, you slam them instead of supporting them. But when they get too thin, you pull the "You should gain some weight"...😠😠🙄 God made their bodies the way they are. If the owner of the body doesn't like it and wants to change, its completely their choice. IF YOU GOTTA ISSUE WITH IT COMPLAIN TO THE ONES WHO ARE ENFORCING IT, NO THE ONES BEING FORCED. I don't understand how people can comment such nasty comments without feeling guilt. Get a life instead of trying to live an idols please. Their not Barbie's doll for you to dress up.
Also how can ppl not like lip & hip... do they even know what it's about!?!? It's about ur fricking confidence and wanting to dress up how YOU want not how everyone ELSE wants. I always play that song when at the gym to hype myself up to feel strong and confident
I've always seen people mention how sexualized Hyuna was, but as a new kpop fan, I had NO idea how bad it was. 😥 I just wanna hug her. I'm so sorry she had to endure all of this. 💔
Probably because fans ate right into the companies hands and don't like to think about it. They felt so bad for the girls they threw money at them so they "have a job" and that cash went right into the companies pockets confirming they should just keep exploiting girls for profit. Stellar was a popular example. Their entire fanbase and income came form people feeling bad for them.
This just proves how harsh we humans are we so quick to jump on the hate bandwagon and automatically think and say the worse to anybody. It’s horrible because Idols are HUMANS to. They have feelings to and our comments can hurt them

As a long time fan I have a few other comments:
1) There's no way she's 5'5.
She was literally still very skinny in the video you show on the left and during Hate
4) While Hyuna has expressed her desire to gain weight (because doing so would likely help with her vasovagal syncope), she also frequently makes comments suggesting that she wants to lose weight (e.g. needing to watch what she eats and needing to exercise to burn off what she has eaten).
At some point she weigh at 38 to 39kg and I believe she is around 160 to 163 cm
(This is around bubble pop era)
Like what the hell ?? How on earth there is a person who weighs as light as her?? I'm really concerned on her so much but I'm happy that she is fine now with EDawn 💙
I hope that the society stops making unrealistic standards so that the people can live there own life happily without judging themselves
Poor Hyuna, people are so unfair and quick to judge, don't they know that it's her company forcing her to do sexy concepts and not her choice?
Yeah that’s why if you look at Flower Shower it’s more in a cute concept and Hyuna did say she wanted to do cute concept more than sexy concept
This is so weird because when i go to instagram or twitter whenever she releases something international fans just hype her stuff and love everything she does... i hope she stops focusing on those netizens
She seems very happy with herself these days so I'm happy
Honestly, people need to stop hating on idols. They are not the once that decides what they do. It’s the COMPANY.😌
you should do oh my girl's Arin. her weight loss is insane compared to her debut days
omg yeah I hardly recognized her
I mean she was 16.
So early and already know it's gonna be a good video!
Thanks for spreading awarness and thanks hyuna is one of my fav idols now after this video
I don't know how many times I've watched this already. This is so inspiring and makes me love Hyuna even more. I literally went ' :D' when I saw this video in my subscription box even tho I know the it inside out :')
Hyuna looks so beautiful no matter what🥺I’m happy she’s in a better company and thriving❤️
Also I think stress comes from hyuna understanding a more broader music range. She wants to have full artistic control and like some western artist back in early 2000s, they were 10 years ahead of their time. Or were criticized because they didnt fit into conventional standards and Korea is extreme with standards.
I swear she's never had a lot of support in her life but I'm glad that we didn't loose her like we lost Sulli I hope she's doing well and she's a really great person, I've always supported her since day 1
She looks way happier now
I love her so much. Wishing her well.
We hope she is at least happy and healthy
Hyuna is such an inspiration. She loves her family so much especially her mother. Someone with power whos a family oriented is really something. Her story really touched me that she works really hard to support her family. She has amazing and powerful character after all for me. Keep up the positive vibes Hyuna-ya. Your such a strong woman. And please be happy ❤️🤗
I'm sosososososo happy for her. I really hope she continues in the right way
I've been listening to Hyuna before I knew what kpop was. She deserves the world and more for her hard work. I feel so bad that she had to go through so much, but she seems like shes much happier now than ever. I hope she and Dawn keep flourishing under Pnation, along with her dancers and stylist. 💕
I will always love her a'mazing era. She looked so shining and happy there.
hyuna is very kind-hearted, thoughtful and hardworking baby please support her, she is amazing human being..
also remember: if you don't have kind words to write in the comments below posts of artist who had done nothing wrong SHUT UP and DONT write ANYTHING. these comments in the video was truly awful. don't be like that/
I’m so stupid, I read the title and thought the video was 4 minutes. I’m still going to watch all of it though
I was a huge fan of 4Minute and Hyuna herself and I went to a small 4Minute fan showcase in Seoul in 2015 and I still remember she burts out crying on the stage because she was so thankful people had showed up 😔 Which I was also confused about because it was a small venue and I felt so lucky to get a ticket 😅 I really hope she’s doing okay now, she never deserved all that hate.
i was looking for this video the other day, perfect timing lol
I am just so happy that she is happy and healthy, she deserve the whole world she is the biggest sweetheart
I loved red. I remember the English comments under it being really sweet
This is so sad. She is such a beautiful human inside and out. The world is cruel. 😭
i just hope she's happy and healthy now that she's free from cube and surrounded by people who support her and dawn, she really deserves the best
I love HYUNA all that matters is that she is physically and mentally healthy and her and DAWN go strong 💪🏻
im glad she is doing better she is looking happier and healthier keep it up girl
Thank you for uploading!
Omg i love her so much, she's been through so much💔 i just want to hug her and protect her 😭😭
I'm early so I just wanted to say I really like your videos
Not only does it help to raise awarness on those issues but you also made me discover several kpop artists ❤️
What's is wrong with reality
When you're fat people ask you to diet
When they do that people criticized them as too skinny
Sighs
Korean fans are weird tbh they always have 2 say sum
@@han6061 don't act like western fans aren't the same, they bodyshame thinner idols because they think being thick is the standard. Both are just as bad.
@@giaaa1278 i mean in general pll need to stop giving their opinion about each others body tfuck is 2020
That one dislike is from cube
Hyuna made a lot of thing for cube ent. And that's just how they treated Hyuna when the issue about dawn and hyuna went out.
SHE IS HAPPIER NOW AND THAT'S WHAT MATTERS THE MOST.
After everything she went through and was forced to do, she found love and decided to live for herself. I’m so happy for her!
babe and lip n hip are my fav songs thoooo wth!!!
Can you do one on Twice Tzuyu? I feel like I’m the only one that had noticed the yo-yo dieting. She loses and Gains like a walk in a park. One thing for sure, her weight has never been consistent ever since the flag incident.
True I noticed it too... I think More & More era was her skinniest body :( And she keeps losing it... And said one time that she always counts and sees the calories and avoid her fav snacks like bread
Really like both of them , even netizens like to blow down 2 of them , they still keep smile and didn’t choose to ended their life , like several kpop artist . Keep whaiting Hyuna and Edawn 💓.
You are always putting up lots of work and quality in your videos 💪🏽💪🏽
i really loved flower shower, she seemed so happy during the era,, im glad she isnt w cube anymore because they treated her like shit, she really does deserve the world and im glad her and hyojong are going strong and im glad that shes looking healthier and happier
I already see all ur videos, ty for your hard work 😃
Me alegra ver que a pesar de todo lo que ha tenido pasar hyuna, haya salido adelante de cualquier forma, demostrando así que ella nació para brillar en el escenario. Espero que no tenga que pasar más por ese tipo de abusos ;;
You're skinny - they hate
You're Fat - they Hate
You're healthy - they hate
You're Dying - They start to Get Concerned.... And they hate
I can't believe this video is 38 minutes longggg!!!
❣️ she deserves it
A strong woman and a queen Hyuna 👑💜
She looks so beautiful & happy now!
Please make a video about Jisoo from BP!
I love hyuna just the way she is. And i can spot toxic people. I'm glad edawn and hyuna are getting stronger. Fighting hyuna and edawn!💖💖💖
ok but the people that were talking shit about her more sexy image really don't realise that the company was doing it, not her? 😭
I met Hyuna in person. I am 5'4" and she was at least one full inch shorter than me .
funfact just bc u have cellulite dosent mean u need to workout or that ur fat
Cube should be thankful for HyunA she built up the company name and their success
Also how can ppl not like lip & hip... do they even know what it's about!?!? It's about ur fricking confidence and wanting to dress up how YOU want not how everyone ELSE wants. I always play that song when at the gym to hype myself up to feel strong and confident
ahhh she's always seemed like such a strong lovely person, i really hope the worst is behind her
Hyuna has a succesfull carreer and her songs are hit too i hope she is living her life and happy with Dawn
I've always seen people mention how sexualized Hyuna was, but as a new kpop fan, I had NO idea how bad it was. 😥 I just wanna hug her. I'm so sorry she had to endure all of this. 💔
8:14 how did nobody say anything about that….
They have feelings to and our comments can hurt them
I hate how people would easily giving her hate comments , hyuna always did your best we always love her ❤️
At one point she was way to skinny under 40kg.... I'm glad she is better now.❤❤❤
