I believe the time slowing is just a visual effect, and in lore it all plays out real time. Also time slows when you perfect parry, and it slowed as well when urbosa perfect parried. Finally link was once the hero of time so temporal abilities aren't impossible
Against phantom Ganon or in general because for me the window for flurry rushes is very forgiving especially for lynels you can jump away from there charge a century before the get close to you and you can still flurry rush
@@vbsenthusiastget a bunch of good defence armour and defence boosting food, then just practise on red lynels since they all have the same attack patterns, lynels become trivial once you can regularly flurry rush (and almost all of their attacks are super easy, the only tough one is the horn thrust in my opinion)
I like dressing up as trailer link and only using the master sword like he does so I went into the final ganon fight like this and decided to also never eat and it was actually fun having high risks like that

Not gonna lie, when the sages protected Link from the gloom I actually teared up 🥹 Also, Sidon going "Link, are you hurt?" made it even more touching. (That's the more accurate Japanese translation)
I find 2:40 funny. So the master sword shattered and was not able to stop the gloom at the beginning of the game, but the sages and their weapons can do it no problem.
To be fair, they all have the secret stones, which were made for the sole purpose of altering one’s powers and abilities to make them stronger. These are the same stones used in the fight where Rauru sacrificed himself to seal Ganondorf too. So yeah, they can probably resist his gloom since the old master sword wasn’t powerful enough.
Well link was able to deflect the gloom at the beginning of the game though ganondorf also got a direct hit which link didn’t counter afterwards weakening the sword so it can be destroyed later the sages were probably somewhere close to links power at the beginning and succeeded in blocking the gloom
I find it amazing seeing link fight side-by-side with sidon, riju, yunobo, and tulin like this. It reminds me of age of calamity where link was united with the rest of the champions. Him now being the only memory of an age long past
I really loved this entire sequence and did it thrice, I also like dressing Link as lore accurate Link for story quests so I mainly did this fight with just the Master Sword.....tho for recording purposes, I did make the odd decision of equipping the Hylian Shield

The game heavily directs you towards the rito village at the beginning, and before you get there, chances are, you are going to meet Impa at the first dragon's tear. From that you can already tell that you'll learn what happened to Zelda, if you follow those tears. With Link's prime objective being to find Zelda, I'd say we have a strong case to say that lore accurate Link would actually first learn of Zelda being a dragon and seek her out, as she asked him to, thereby obtaining the Master Sword before meeting the imposter.
I literally collected all of the dragon tears before entering a second dungeon...the lore just really intruiged me. It's so goofy seeing these people talk about seeing zelda and I think to myself...link...you know it's not her since you know she's a dragon, why don't you tell them that it's just a puppet of ganon, you literally know he has created a puppet zelda in the past to kill sonia...especially after fighting phantom ganon in the castle it feels so goofy that they all talk about what might have happened to the princess and where she could be when link would only need to say the fucking words and everyone would know.
At the time I reached this encounter… I had the Five-Shot Lynels and 200 bomb flowers. I probably didn’t need to use 50 of the Bomb Flowers… but I did anyways. I was roleplaying AoC Teba at the time, what can I say… but I’m also terrible at getting Flurry Rushes.
the master sword will glow and emit a sound (if equipped when this happens) when near corrupted enemy, it seems like the overall damage becomes doubled when this happens as well

It works slightly differently than in BotW. It’s base damage is 30 and base durability is 40. However near Gloom afflicted enemies the swords attack is increased going from 30 to 45 (durability remains the same). Against Phantom Ganon or Ganondorf, the sword reaches its full strength and deal 60 damage and gains infinite durability
I loved how the sages protected him when phantom ganon tried to harm him,the cutscene was awesome with all the sages appearing and using their sage powers to take out the gloom

Jump cancel is the simplest combat technique for BOTW/TOTK gameplay, yet it is the most useful and versatile, it’s hard to imagine either game without the ability to jump cancel attacks.
As cool as it is, I think it makes way more sense that link would "finish" every bullet time/flurry rush, since canonically, he can't see the enemy's health bar like we can, so he'd keep swinging until they fall or what have you, which of course, is after flurry rush has ended.
why not him? I find his attacks to be far easier to flurry rush than captain constructs...something about how their body weirdly stretches just completely throws me off...also you don't come across them very often so you don't get much opportunities to practice...with gloom hands however...they're quite frequent...
Mastersword has damage increased on the miasma + there is increase damage following a flurry rush + maybe he’s got an attack buff not showing on screen if he’s playing with pro display
I'm doing normal damage and i didn't you use any attack buffs. But at some point of the fight, i hit 3 phantom with one Flurry rush and it dealt massive damage.
It can if you don't do the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest and blow the Puppet Zelda facade. If you don't do the quest, the Phantom Ganons are part of the Demon King's Army gauntlet in the Depths.
i wish you could rematch this boss fight like the other ones, and i dont mean just the single phantom ganons and the gloom hands but like the whole thing
I mean you kill Ganondorf in TotK, I doubt there will be another direct sequel. Unless they want to make that about the Triforce… which for some reason made not a single appearance in the last two games… not like it‘s important or anything

Cuz you playin pre 1.1.1 version, 1.1.1 and newest patches master sword makes that noise and effect against Phantom and real ganondorf only,not gloom infected enemys
One thing is that I'm not sure if the master sword is supposed to be this durable, cuz most of the times its power is gone after 5-6 flurry rushes, let alone normal attacks.
The Master Sword has the "Revitalized Sword of Legend" bonus which grants it infinite durability when fighting against beings of pure evil like Phantom Ganon or Ganondorf. The swords attack power also doubles from 30 to 60 damage instead of the usual 45 damage when near gloom afflicted enemies.
Ganon: I see...i will use your flurry move agaist you later! Link: ..wanna bet? *later..final boss* Ganon: no! I am the demon king! How did i lose!? Link: you used my flurry...so i tossed back at you! Ganon: *enraged,so he eats his secret stone and turns into a dragon* >w>
You can’t do the fight without the sages unlocked anyways. If you didn’t complete the quests, you would be able to access the throne room normally without any fights.
BOWT/TOTK Link is known to be OP (in BOTW, there is a memory where Link killed an army of monsters including Lynels, and a large amount of Guardians in another one), so "lore accurate videos" depict Link being OP, typically using complex combos. For this video though, "lore accurate" means "wielding only the Master Sword but being ridiculously good at it"

It's only meant to be used against Ganon or other enemies with gloom, regular enemies will drain the Master Sword fast

I wish there was a lore accurate Ganondorf that made you parry his magic attacks back to him in one of his phases.
It's not a requirement, but you can do that when he shoots those miasma balls at you, by attacking them with the master sword.

What happens in that final cutscene if you don’t do any of the sages’ quests?
You can’t do the fight without the sages unlocked anyways. If you didn’t complete the quests, you would be able to access the throne room normally without any fights.

Does lore accurate mean with the champions tunic (or whatever its called), hylian trousers and master sword?
BOWT/TOTK Link is known to be OP (in BOTW, there is a memory where Link killed an army of monsters including Lynels, and a large amount of Guardians in another one), so "lore accurate videos" depict Link being OP, typically using complex combos.
For this video though, "lore accurate" means "wielding only the Master Sword but being ridiculously good at it"
