Yes, it's ironic, but in a world where the real you is a soul that has an afterlife AND there's alternate timelines AND considering what suffering Nagisa went thru to become a witch AND considering she's only 8 years old, why the HECK would that make a difference? It's one death among many for Mami in the various timelines, she would know it would be partly because she got careless (hence partly her fault) and lastly, she'd know that poor little Nagisa witch thought she was just cheese.

However Nagisa being part of the Law of Cycles would know of the possible countless times she bit Mami's head off and yet despite all that Nagisa makes amends by befriending Mami, which I think is sweet of her. (if you interpret cheese as love then her saying she wanted to eat cheese one final time later on can be interpeted as her trying to find a mothers Love, which Mami provides.)

Besides, when Bebe senses a nightmare, she is telling Mami to "turn into cheese" which we can translate as "hurry up and turn into a magical girl", which gives it even more sense to why she says that she would turn into cheese

I love Bebe, and I was really happy that she redeemed herself in the movie. Honestly, when Mami died, I felt double sorry, because I couldn't help but liking Charlotte in spite of the horrible thing she did. My guess is that Madoka chose Nagisa/Charlotte to be one of the guardians of her memories because during her transformation she learned about who Charlotte realy was... (the same way she learned the truth about Homura) so Madoka forgave her and gave Charlotte a chance of making up with Mami.

I love how Nagisa was one of the main selling points of the movie but she only had about two minutes worth of screen time, and even if you count Bebe that’s only six minutes. At least Magia Record gave her more development.

I was baffled when I read that the Mami Homura was fighting was a double from the beginning. I always thought Mami simply created a double when Homura was about to shoot herself, I couldn’t believe she was powerful enough to have created a separate entity out of her ribbons
You know.. now that i re-watch some scenes from the movie i see the things that are easy-to-miss, for instance when mami passes by homura there's the yellow string for about 1 or 2 frames

I never thought this series would have the impact it did on me, but the way they bury the first part of the third movie under the cliches of the genre, so that right at its very beginning, this scene is completely taut with tension, saturated with dread over what might happen if one of them pushes too far on the question of who and what they all were "before" their new histories... it's nothing short of astounding.
Bebe didn't really have a big role yet she was one of my favorite things about rebellion, she's just so damn adorable even with that creepy little face.
The environment also literally tells the audience the witch is Homura. The flower scene with Madoka, everything changes to Homuras feelings. The TVs that came on after she started time showed Bebe, and the environment displays the witches feelings and thoughts only
This movie has so much damn rewatch value. I never even noticed in 5:58 the background. The teeth falling out.... the line of lonesome looking girls clutching their books..... And after just noting how painful it was to disclose the hard truths to Mami.... now she has to do it again. Not that it worked, of course. Then again- does it ever?
nagisa's relation with mami is rlly related to the relation she had with her own mother. she had a rlly abusive and ill mom and a non existant dad. she was lonely and didn't had much friends so nobody to rely on plus considering she was only 8yo. she ended up doing a contract with kyubey, wishing for a cheesecake, after her mom told her everything was her fault and she shouldn't be existing. she wished for a cheesecake because her mom loved cheese but also because her mom would die from her illness since nagisa didn't saved her. she ended up becoming a witch after her mom got killed by someone and not by her illness. mami is kinda the mom nagisa wanted to have : nice, caring, kind. but in the same time, nagisa is the cause of mami's death, just like she wanted to be the cause of her mother death.
The official story published with Magia Record was that she used to have good relation with her mom but her mom fell into depression after her husband has left her and got sick. They rest is same as what you posted.

I was baffled when I read that the Mami Homura was fighting was a double from the beginning. I always thought Mami simply created a double when Homura was about to shoot herself, I couldn’t believe she was powerful enough to have created a separate entity out of her ribbons
no lol the double is not created until near the end of both fighting
You know.. now that i re-watch some scenes from the movie i see the things that are easy-to-miss, for instance when mami passes by homura there's the yellow string for about 1 or 2 frames

I never thought this series would have the impact it did on me, but the way they bury the first part of the third movie under the cliches of the genre, so that right at its very beginning, this scene is completely taut with tension, saturated with dread over what might happen if one of them pushes too far on the question of who and what they all were "before" their new histories... it's nothing short of astounding.

nagisa's relation with mami is rlly related to the relation she had with her own mother.
she had a rlly abusive and ill mom and a non existant dad. she was lonely and didn't had much friends so nobody to rely on plus considering she was only 8yo. she ended up doing a contract with kyubey, wishing for a cheesecake, after her mom told her everything was her fault and she shouldn't be existing. she wished for a cheesecake because her mom loved cheese but also because her mom would die from her illness since nagisa didn't saved her. she ended up becoming a witch after her mom got killed by someone and not by her illness.
mami is kinda the mom nagisa wanted to have : nice, caring, kind. but in the same time, nagisa is the cause of mami's death, just like she wanted to be the cause of her mother death.
The official story published with Magia Record was that she used to have good relation with her mom but her mom fell into depression after her husband has left her and got sick. They rest is same as what you posted.

I think she still is. I think that Homura just took Octavia away so she couldn't use Octavia to rebel against her.
