The system is hell for seniors citizens so shame after hard work and want to have peace of mind at our retirement must be like others countries care about there people not care about insurance to make money 🤮🤮🤮
@@MedicareonVideo Less than $100 per month where I am you're looking at a G-HD plan, or if you are under age 70 (particularly if you are female), there are some N Plans that can be had for just under $100.
That might be true however they seem to go up and up and up as folks get older and they just can't afford it. The whole system is flawed@@MedicareonVideo
I appreciate your integrity by not enrolling people in a product you don’t believe in: Medicare Advantage plans. You could be making a lot of $ by doing so, but you don’t want to take advantage of people. Bravo!
Can not afford Medicare suplement, with basic income, they are still increasing every year. I look at 80 year old cost from $450 -$500 a month that another trip off
My answer to that question would be revealed as soon as you begin paying 20% which never goes away. So if you fall into a cancer situation when treatments are super expensive, that 20% can be in the thousands easily. Hip replacement same thing, knee replacement, same thing. That along with they myriad of ailments that creeps up on seniors. So the zero premium Advantage plans can take you broke. This along with all the other "disadvantages" there are with Advantage plans. So you'll need to pay a premium for a co-pay or co-insurance plan, and a cancer plan. If a husband and wife team, if qualified, maybe just one can be on Original Medicare, the other on Medicare Advantage. In short it is my belief that we can't afford not to be in Original Medicare with a Medicap Plan.
@@MedicareonVideo That is a great price. I am looking at $790 for FEHB BCBS and Part A, Part B for me and wife at todays premiums. I often consider putting FEHB on hold and go the supplement route but I am always told to take FEHB. No one should complain about $300 unless the copays and deductables kill you. I will get a $1600 kickback in retiremnet and I think about $220 in health credit so that would bring me down $151 a month so my cost would go down to $639 a better comparison.
@@g8way2k1A lot of people think they are immortal. My brother never thought he needed health insurance until he got hurt and went to hospital. You know the type to healthy to need health insurance.
Confused a little, if you want to leave medicare advantage in open enrollment isn't there a preexisting requirement to be accepted into original medicare and supplment. They may deny or raise price so high because you have preexisting issues?
Yes, in many situations you would have to medically qualify for the Supplement, and you could be denied, or maybe have to pay a higher premium for the Supplement. Personally, I would never do just original Medicare by itself, with the unlimited copays with no MOOP. A PPO Advantage plan might be a better option in a situation where you can't get (or can't afford) a Supplement. No referrals to see a specialist with a PPO, and not required to get care from in-network providers (although out-of-network will usually have higher copays).
@g0989 I would surely be denied with my health background. Luckly I am a civilian and going to use FEHB as my backup for PartA, PartB and PartD. But it's always good to know for others I speak with. I like to warn people about things.
These independent medicare agents will sell you whatever plan you want. They are giving you their years of experience and feedback from patients who have seen the worst of disadvantage plans. If you think you know so much more than they do maybe you should start selling it.
@@MedicareonVideo Over 10 years I saved approximately 30K on supplement + PArt D premiums (including dental, vision and hearing premiums), spent an average of $500/year on co-pays, 30K - 5K = 25k savings. Sure, if you get cancer every yar go with a supplement
Thank you, Hopefully you save some from the disadvantage plan nightmare. Mom was told she would be discharged to a nursing home. Kicked out to home after denied what regular Medicare would of approved. Family had to care for her until we could get her in to self pay. This was 1st week of January so thanks to youtube video got her on supplement plan. Now doing great in assisted living. If able to stay on Original Medicare with a supplement the benefits and ease of use are actually really good.
Oh come on now The whole system is broken. If you can afford supplements great but most people can't.
I like your videos but I can't agree with everything
In most areas we find the right supplement plan for close to $100 or less a month.

either you pay for the coverage now or you pay later when you get sick with deductibles and copays you can't afford.
