Were the residents of these developments who spent upwards of $30 million considered, no one spends that kind of money thinking they are investing in peace, safety, privacy and seclusion only to then find out they will now be living in a 24 hr 7 day per week commercial zone. This is information that should have been provided to prospective buyers so that they could make an educated decision as to whether or not this would be a great fit for them and their families not when people have already committed their lives and finances.

I understand your concern Janice but I see the flipside of it as adding value to Portmore. I remember at one point, Portmore was the "underdog" noone who has money would consider to live in Portmore, soon that mentality will be a thing of the past. Who would have thought houses in Portmore would value 30 million? It only gets better for the citizens from here.

@@rashedafrancis5694the only reason people are considering living in portmore is because Kingston is a concrete jungle, there is no space there, houses are 50M, and you get a better value for money in portmore. This isn’t adding value, it is detracting from the most upscale community in portmore. You think sagicor could put this crap beside houses in Norbrook?

@@dedan2 It adds to the value! look at Shoppers Fair off Boulevard did it decrease the value of the residential properties in the surrounding communities? Come on Dedan, this is not a "bend down shop" that's being constructed enuh, this is a state of the art commercial development plus Green area, that's soooo needed?, it has to add to value of the community. Look at e.g. Manhattan in the states, do you know why the apartments in that area is so expensive? because of the commercial activities and close proximity of same. Probably if the Government were taking on this project I would have raised my eyebrows, but its being done by a private sector organization. Not to mention, with this development the long overdue 4 lane road that will be constructed. Come on Dedan man, it's a good look. Look at Portmore Pines, imagine not having the plaza and instead residential properties on both side. The demand for better amenities will definately increase the value. Soon to purchase a house in Portmore will cost upward of 60mil not to mention Portmore is going to be a parish soon. Dedannnnn, this is a good look!

We the residents of Port Ridge and Phoenix Park 1 do not want this business complex right beside our homes. Please find some other place to put it.

It increases the property value of the houses in the community, and it is very convenient for the residences as well. The adults can have close by stores to do their business, and the kids
can have a safe place to play. So this is a very good development.

Well sorry but tough cookies. Now you're saying you don't want business beside you but in a few years if the traffic killing you every day you'll complain why nothing is closer.
