People will see this video and find a reason to complain about that there’s so many cops for one woman. Never underestimate an (EDP)emotionally disturbed person! There’s a lot of mentally unhinged people out here who don’t care about your lives or theirs for that matter. And rather if it’s a man or woman, don’t underestimate their ability to gain the fight or flight strength to resist by pulling out knives, sharp objects or any other obscure things that could be used for weapons against anyone even an officer. A 10-13 (officer assistance) is a must just in case. And while the male Sergeant probably could’ve handled the situation on his own, he made the 10-54 ( ambulance case EDP) call for back up. Especially in this case, assistance from a female officer so that the female EDP can’t say she was man-handled or harassed during the arrest. That chick had a cleaver/ knife carbon sharpening steel in her hand and was on some ready murder one dungeons and dragons shit.
You must not be from the streets...it not about the person " it the vibes and energy you will never understand only because you,re not the hood! ...it is simple to walk up to em and talk. It shouldn't take that many cops to handle one person of color
@@migthymax9 I agree with you and the original commentator. They should definitely speak to the person calmly. It has nothing to do with being from the hood, it's about treating people like a human. But at the same time you never know how someone going through a mental episode will react and for their safety they need backup just in case. This person was calm but trust there are plenty that go crazy and get physically aggressive.
I feel really bad for people who appears to face mental challenges. I also ask myself where are they coming from? Could a lot the people we see on the streets of NY be people who were reported missing as a child, exploited for whatever reason and then released as adults on the streets of NYC? I believe this is a matter which needs to be further looked at.

There's a saying: They also serve who stand and wait
There are many possible reasons for this assembly of cops.
Persons in the immediate area could give one or two cops all kinds of trouble, for arresting this one person.
This perp could be a guy. Too much weight and ability for kicking and biting, for just two cops.
Even with handcuffs on wrists this person could throw himself/herself into the line of moving traffic. Cops "standing" between the handcuffed person and the curb can easily prevent this.
Also...they had no way to know which, if any, drugs this person had smoked, swallowed, or injected. Certain illegal drugs can turn into a user into a super strong, highly unpredictable problem for cops and paramedics.
This person was loaded into that ambulance without much trouble. Line of cops "standing there" may have factored into the decision to cooperate and just step into the ambulance.

It works for the criminals and abusers. To accept it means failure. NYC is a complete hell hole. If the citizens accept this as normal.
