    • @mhdrazman4764
      @mhdrazman4764 3 ปีที่แล้ว +50

      It's also has meaning! The design itself showing how Tunku Abdul Rahman when he declare independent of Malaysia. The spire is showing his hand raising up while he declare it. In short the design show how he declare independent. The design is like that because it's located next to where Malaysia had it independent which is 'Stadium Merdeka'. That's why the name is 'Merdeka' PNB 118. Sorry for interrupted, it's already shown in the video but I just want to tell that the spire is its design and not just for observation deck or increase its height.😊

      I don’t really understand your logic. If anything, its more impressive that they built the Burj in a desert.

    Skyscrapers will continue to be built. They are iconic and often define cities and I think people gravitate to tall buildings. There is something awe-inspiring about them.

      Don't worry, I believe we will build much more tall structures in the future. It'll be a neseccity at some point, since we'll run out of space in highly habitable and will have to build upwards.

      @@user-fg3dz5kv7q nah man, it won't be necessary at some point in the future. A lot of these buildings aren't even being used to full capacity. These buildings are expensive and use a lot of resources, most of the time they mostly built to feed into the ego of a nation. They are really hard to justify their construction.

    Fun fact: the spire will have the tallest observation deck in the world at around 610 meters and there is a possibility that might there be even VERY expensive luxurious that the rich might even live there or a 5+ star hotels so very rich tourists can stay :D

    My personal favorite “Megatall” skyscraper is the Miapolis tower in Miami, Florida. It would have been the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the second tallest in the world. Sadly it got cancelled because of the Great Recession.
