Would be a nice thought to have better roads built in the eastern parts of Malaysia so we can increase west Malaysia’s revenue. Alternatively, delegate 30% job quota to east Malaysians and/or allocate funds to develop skills needed for this tower project to east Malaysians. It would not be in the interest of protecting Malaysian currency value if jobs were to be given to too many migrant workers. ~sarcasm intended
Well, if you the opportunity travelling to some rural area of Malaysia, perhaps you may feel there are other priorities to be uplevel first. If the mega tower has a storyline of being build by a bunch of Kampong kids who been dreaming since then...it's a proud story for all Malaysia to tell the world.

As a Filipino Architect, I used to work as Design/planner in Kuala Lumpur from 1999 to 2001. I enjoyed my stay there for 2 years. I like the people, the place, food and very cheap standard cost of living. I missed Malaysia. I missed my Malaysian friend Architect Mr Tunku Zainol.

Wow my son really loved this. Congratulations to all workers for creating such a massive and marvelous building.
Im from Boston, I've always been a huge fan of skyscrapers, we have the Hancock tower, the Prudential bldg, my favorite will always be the empire state bldg, but the PETRONAS towers are great, nowadays there's so many, I love those as well. Not just how tall they are, it's the city there in and the basic design of them, oh, how could I forget, the Chrysler bldg, another one of my favorites.
The Boston hancock tower is cool looking. Being from Chicago I'll always love the John Hancock tower, the st. Regis, and the Sears tower. The Aon center just looks boring and reminds me of the original world trade building 1 and 2. Everytime time I get close enough to the sears tower I just look up in awe at how tall it really is. Taller than One world trade center but the spire on one world trade makes it taller. I was always made to believe that the spire didn't count as part of the official height of the building. If that were the case then Sears is the tallest in the U.S. and maybe the western hemisphere but I'm not too sure about that tower in Toronto. I'll have to look it up. I'm not a lover of skyscrapers but they're def an amazing feat of human engineering and awesome to see.
What I miss most nowadays is the pre 9/11/01 post 1973 NYC skyline. On one end the most iconic skyscraper ever, the Empire State Building, and on the other not 1 but 2 ~110 floor World Trade Center skyscrapers. As a kid whenever I would see it from North Jersey it always reminded me of a giant chess game where the Empire State had lost its Queen. Best skyline ever.. todays I hardly notice
In my opinion, the Chrysler Building is the best in the world, I haven’t personally been there but photos of the interior are stunning, and the outside is breathtaking, it is Art

I love how the engineers, heads, officers interacts with the camera they're all smiling with confidence that they know their job well.

dividen tak boleh meningkat kalau makin banyak pelabur...kalau pnb banyak melabur kt tempat2 lain baru dividen naik...kalau pnb melabur tmpt same je takde tambah tempat pelaburan...n orng makin banyak simpan kt asb...dividen akan turun
Duit ASB orang ramai tu dilaburkan di pasaran saham. Tiada kaitan dengan menara ni, sebab menara ni pelaburan hartanah untuk PNB yang memakan masa sekurang-kurangnya 10 tahun untuk balik modal.

Cable tray directly over an electric motor that will need replaced eventually is definitely an engineers idea, dont worry about motor possibly catching fire (and they have many times) not only stopping the pump but burning whatever wires that are in that tray shutting down other necessities.
This is absolutely genius work. Well done men, very very well done. This makes me proud of humanity. I seen this building last year in KL. What a masterpiece! Huge respect to the men that did the impossible.
