Biolite camping lanterns are awesome. LuminAid are also very versatile lanterns for camping and outdoors.

I prefer my luminAID PackLite Max. Packs flat, has solar panel, and a charging port for phones or to recharge the lantern although it can stay on for 50 hours

Thanks for the video! I have a few Streamlight models for everything from EDC flashlights to weapon lights. I recently purchased a Coast EAL 25 to test out in circumstances where a lantern would be ideal, and I have to admit that I'm surprised how well the cheap Coast lantern performs. Usually when you buy something on the cheap you get what you pay for, but this isn't the case. If anyone needs a well built and versatile emergency lantern I would recommend one of these before you shell out big bucks. This little bargain is worth owning

I've had this lantern as part of my survival kit rotation and I never knew you can take the shroud off while hanging it. That's awesome. Thanks for sharing with us!

Yes, I decided to buy the BioLite Alpenglow 500 until I saw the input is Micro USB. It is a deal breaker for me. Hopefully, I would buy their next model with USB-C as input.

I just got my Goal Zero Lighthouse micro charge today. It's not IPX4, it's IPX6... I used the flashlight when walking my dog this evening, really good! You also forgot to mention that the lantern AND flashligt is dimmable.^^
So far im very satisfied with my purchase.

You need to be specific with run time with the black diamond. Run for hours is not an appropriate review.

I just bought the GSC lamp today exactly the same you shown which is your second rating . My disappointing is there is no manual in it in fact you show me that it has a feature which i never new that you can pull out the shade and you can use it as a torch . If you come across with a manual it will be helpful if you tell me where i can download it . Right now i am charging it and still blinking green but i do not know if it should stop blinking when it is full or not . The only thing i like best is powerful and robust but no manual is a disappointing . Still looking for it on internet . And thanks for sharing .

Any lantern that uses alkaline batteries in today's age is useless

Disagree. No reason why you can’t just use rechargeable lithium batteries. I would far prefer this to built in batteries.
