  • If you installed a trunk light strip, you may have noticed that the LED lights leak into the trunk area and can be seen from certain angles. This quick $7 fix will show you how to easily get rid of the excess light and make everything look cleaner.

    I would live with the light leakage rather than that fix. It would drive me crazy seeing that cr*p every time I opened the trunk

      I honestly don't notice it and it's been a few months. You could get away with thinner Strips if it makes it anymore 😂

    I'd just line the edges of the trunk with a matte black vinyl wrap that will minimize the light reflection within the channel

      That's not a bad idea, would be a cleaner install for sure, but it would be a bit more expensive and intricate of a process to do. Given that the light is so bright, I still think enough light will get through to bother some

    Is the LED bar in fact glowing downward and not backwards? Why did they do it like that instead backwards?

    • @thehousemann
      @thehousemann  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bar glows backwards when the lid is closed.

      @@thehousemann how when you cant see it looking from the back. You only see the trunk hood gap and the LED strip is behind it glowing diffusely...

    Nice mod but I think you just made a nice water trap .....!

      I thought about this too, but I address it in the video. The drainage channel for the trunk is still open. So water should flow right under the mod

    I did this and have some water coming in, have you ? Not sure what to do lol

      No, no issues with water. Make sure the strip is not blocking the drain. The strip should be on the "bridge". Also make sure that the channel under that bridge is clear of debris.
