2003 Ford Expedition Aftermarket Hertz Speaker Install

This is a "how to" video showing me install my aftermarket Hertz Dieci DCX 570.3 speakers in all my doors. The removal of the front and rear door panel should be the same for all Ford Expedition's from 2003-2006. I hope this helps anyone looking to change their factory speakers. The difference in sound over the factory speakers was really impressive. Two pair of Hertz Dieci DCX 570.3 cost under $200.

is that all you need 2 do to install speakers ? even if you have a amp and kicker installed?

Can you get plugs to put on aftermarket speakers? Or no? Cause i did get a set of speakers they just didn’t come with a plug only the metal plugs

Metra 72-5600 Ford Speaker Harness 1998-UP But the adapters don't fit on the speakers. Look for one that has the larger plug on each wire. That adapter had a large and then small plug. I had to cut the small one off and put a new larger one on.

I'm confused..Do expedition 2003 come with 6×8 or 5×7 factory speakers

Mine came with 5x7's. That's why I replaced them with the same size.

Yes they do it’s smaller than the 6x9b

When I search up my 04 Ford expedition xlt on Amazon it shows me everything 6x9 for door speakers lolz so they 5x7

What about that big sub all the way in the back you never showed how to change that one

To change that sub out it's a giant pain in the ass. It has a factory amp attached to it. I did pay someone to replace the amp and replace the speaker with a pioneer sub that fit the same enclosure.

Google say factory speakers are 6×8

They are 6x8 not 6x9 AT ALL.. NEW STYLE speaker framing allows for 5x7 and 6x8 compatability.
