Absolutely beautiful. I didn’t think the banjo was a Nordic instrument (from the description), but I am blown away by your playing. I keep telling folks I didn’t realise I could love the banjo so much. It is so peaceful when the world gets hard.
A thousand thanks my friend. I only put the disclaimer at the bottom because TH-cam is already full of misinformation about Nordic music and I wanted to make my intentions with this rendition as clear as possible.
i was curious about what Hårgalåten translated to according to google translate " Hair Gala Song " but what does it really mean and is there a subtle meaning belying it's original tongue ... Just as i was watching the OG 1973 version of wicker man , i wonder if there is a subtle meaning belying in the story-line . It's collectively a genre of horror, thriller, mystery. But I see nuances of religion and comedy, as well as romantic, and some few other sub-genres. I don't get the whole meaning behind it. perhaps a second or third watch is possible to take in deeper understanding
it doesnt need to be said i think, but in case someone hasnt noticed; this was uploaded on the night of a full moon. well timed!
The ambiance is amazing and the singing is magnificent. A thousand bravos, I love it!
I felt this!❤️

Stumbled upon this. Am glad. Stay hidden from what's coming.
BTW, this sounds like the style of music from the movie wicker man

Good question- Hårga is the name of the town in Sweden which the story of the tune is about.
Fantastic work as always! If I may ask, who painted/scribed the design on your banjo? It's incredibly clean, but still so evocative
My wife did it using stipling and a felt pen by hand. She’s an incredible artist.
