Control Line Speed (Class F2A) test flight

Test flight at British Model Flying Association airfield at Buckminster Saturday 17th June 2023 in the purpose made Control Line facility. Model conforms to rules for F2A class which is for a 2.5cc capacity engine. Engine is a 'Halman Special' from Irvine Engines. Fuel is plain 80/20 mix of Methanol and castor oil. Single blade propeller turning approx 38,000 rpm in flight. Speeds are electronically timed with an optical sensor (seen under wooden protective screen by track side). Pilot is Paul Eisner, previous World Record holder and previous World Champion. Pit man is Peter Halman (engine designer), previous World Record holder and previous World Champion. Speed for this flight was 295kph.... target speed is 300kph plus.
