My favorite scene is the Alpine drive sequence in Goldfinger and that shot of Bond standing next to the DB5 looking down into the valley below. 007 perfection!

The No Time to Die chase, especially the donuts is my favorite DB5 scene. A perfectly choreographed chase for a perfectly designed car.

I actually just like the scene(s) of Bond tailing Goldfinger in Geneva. From the shots of it being driven in Switzerland, to Bond using the wheels to disable Tilly’s Mustang, the scene’s a favorite of mine!

My favourite scene is the scene in Switzerland (and judging by the other comments I am not the only one who thinks this way)! Sean Connery following Goldfinger just being a spy (and an absolutely cool one, while we're at it) in a gorgeous scenery. The finishing touch is the iconic music we hear in the background!

While I always enjoy seeing the Aston Martin DB5 in a James Bond movie, my favorite scene is in Goldfinger in the Furka Pass. The shot when Bond stops and is standing next to the DB5 looking down to where Goldfinger is stopped is gorgeous. The winding road, the valley, the scenery, the DB5, and Bond himself, everything about that scene is perfect.

From Goldfinger and when he ejects the henchman. Watching that as a kid that was awesome, amd I still do that little flick of the thumb in my car. 😄

The scene in Goldfinger where Bond gives the Mustang a flat tire. I love how we are seeing the DB5 gadgets in action for the first time and Bond is also seeing them in action for the first time. It’s an experience simultaneously shared by both our hero and ourselves. It always makes me feel like I’m in the car with Bond and we are both reacting to these exciting moments together.

While I love the scenes of the DB5 in Scotland, I feel that nothing beats seeing this beautiful car in the Swiss Alps. Will always remember those shots of it in Goldfinger. Such a special car for every bond fan.

I love the moment the Aston Martin DB5 is revealed in Skyfall when Bond is escaping with M. The moment Bond opens the garage door and turns on light and the car is revealed gets me every time!

  • @samhall7227

Controversial, but I loved when the DB5 was destroyed in Skyfall. Up to that moment, Bond appeared to merely be inconvenienced by that attack on him and M, but after the car exploded, to look Daniel Craig have showed it had become personal.

The first Bond film I had the chance to see in cinema was Skyfall (2012) and I remember quite vividly to this day when the audience, consisting of both women and men of all ages, gasped in amazement when the DB5 was revealed behind the garage door in London. The shared moment of excitement, nostalgia and awe over an old sports car was a rather nice movie experience where people from all generations were impressed. Nice little memory

Skyfall has my favorite DB5 scenes. When he opens the garage door so he and M can switch vehicles, the old school bond music. Love it. Also when they stop along the road. That car with in a misty Scottish setting, talk about gorgeous.

My favorite DB5 scene, is part of the Matera sequence when they're cornered in the Town Square. The way they build the tension, as Bond sits there brooding before he finally flips the switch and unleashes those Gatling guns, whilst doing a donut and smirking. Absolute classic!!

My favorite DB5 scene is the whole pre-title sequence of No Time To Die. It really showcases the car and what it can do. My ABSOLUTE favorite part of that scene, is when Bond is doing the donut and the camera cuts to the tachometer bouncing off the rev limiter. As a car guy, that resonates with me on a huge emotional level.

Up until last year I would've said best DB5 scene is in Goldfinger, followed by Goldeneye. But since fall 2021 No Time to die showcases the DB5's finest hour for me. After all these years to come out and to create a new iconic sequence featuring this great car, is just breathtaking! Congrats to the filmmakers.

For me the stand out moment for the DB5 could well be its swansong.... Is the scene in NTTD. Its starts out as Bonds personal grand tourer in the stunning Matera backdrop. But when the call to action is required its he's gadget loaded attack vechicle...When DB5 is being mercilessly hit with constant heavy gunfire, at a flick of a switch the machine guns pop out the headlights... Thats the quintessential Bond car. 👍

    Hello from England
    Hi David
I have been a little busy over the last few months having some work done on my house so have not watched any of your videos.
    HOWEVER
This video sparks my interest TODAY because i went to my local SAINSBURYS supermarket to do my weekly shop and i parked up and as i was walking towards the entrance to the shop i noticed a DB5 and OMG WOW. I stopped in front of it as the owner got out. He was around mid to late 60's and i said to him "HELLO 007" Of course he laughed.
The car was AWESOME. The plate registration was 4 digits then DB.so i expect that the plate would be worth some £000's if not many.
It just "STOOD OUT" amongst ordinary cars

Favorite scene has to be the chase through Matera. I gave this some thought because initially I would say the factory chase in goldfinger. There’s so many great scenes over the years. First off as a photographer the photograph of Sean Connery leaning on the DB5 is one of the greatest photographs.
My favorite scene would have to be Casino Royale when he wins the car in a poker game against Alex Dimitrios. Then picks up Dimitrios wife and drives around the resort circle back to his place.
I mean what’s more Bond smooth than that? The whole sequence goes from serious to sexy to funny.

I’m favourite scene with the DB5 is when Bond goes to the his lock up with M (Dame Judy Dench) to get the DB5 and drive M to what he thinks is possibly a safe place….SKYFALL.
The scene where he drives though the night streets of London is Deptford High street which was only a few miles away from where I grew up as a child….when I first saw the scene I knew straight away where it was…..and it’s special for that reason, the scenes in Whitehall are easy for tourists to recognise when visiting central London as they are the normal Tourist attractions…….Trafalgar Sq, Downing St….the Houses of Parliament Big Ben etc……but to see the DB5 drive through the streets of South East London (SE8) is special and is why it’s my favourite DB5 Moment.

Goldfinger is the DB5 and Bond relationship Origin Story and in addition, it's various appearances in that film become intrinsic to how the plot unfolds and lay the foundations for it's iconic status. The alpine scene on the Furka Pass is it's own road movie as well as my favorite DB5 appearance. It encapsulates that which we all secretly hope to emulate on our own road trips - excitement and danger, seeing breathtaking scenery unfold before us, perhaps a little flirtatious engagement with a stranger... It's our collective idealized road-trip travelogue blueprint.

I used to have a toy version of it as a kid- a Corgi or something. They still do them. Wouldn't mind having one as a paperweight or something. I see one and get the old 60's Bond music start playing in my head...

Racing shifts, hillside hairpins and of course the Brosnan charm and wit throughout - just brilliant!

I like the Aston Martin DB5 scene in No Time To Die because it brings back the legendary DB5. This is a throwback scene to Goldfinger when Bond had all of the gadgets from the car such as the Ejector Seat, Smoke Screen and Front Wing Machine Guns.
The Aston Martin DB5 has been more upgraded in No Time To Die with a brand-new Italian registration plate, a pair of Miniguns behind the front headlights and even Bombs that can also be deployed at the back of the car giving Bond a lot more firepower at his disposal.
Useful aids for 007 as he finds himself in a raging car chase through the streets of Matera Italy. The classic DB5 is never away from the inevitable action that follows James Bond wherever he goes.
The Aston Martin DB5 is the most famous car in cinema history!

I love the scene where Bond drives Tilly Masterson to the service station after blowing out her tires. True, the Aston Martin doesn't perform any tricks, but it does handle well while providing a smooth ride. There's something unique for the franchise yet curiously emblematic in the interplay between the dismissive Tilly (who's not buying into Bond's charms) and Connery's cheery conviviality blended with a slightly sinister undertone as he questions/interrogates her about the contents of the case on the dash.

The DB5 has many great scenes such as the "Goldfinger" chase scene in switzerland OR the "GoldenEye" Race scene against the Ferrari, but my personal favourite is the scene from "Skyfall" where James Bond looks at the beautiful scottish landscape. It was a very nice scene that paid hommage to the Goldfinger scene and to that iconic Sean Connery Goldeneye DB5 picture.

I don't know as much about the DB5s as I'd like to. I think there was one in Goldeneye racing a Ferrari F355 on a mountain road. Would love to now more about them, though, especially in that book. I had a brief close encounter with one 20 years ago when a friend was showing me a car he had for sale and there was a DB5 parked next to it in his garage. WOW! I love the Superleggera coachwork. Great channel. Hope to win the book. It looks like just the thing that would interest me - cars and movies!

One moment that I enjoyed in Skyfall, when Bond and M start driving to Scotland in the DB5 and Bond flicks up the cover of the ejector seat button, and says to M, "Are you going to complain the whole way?"

My favorite scene with the DB5 is in Skyfall. M is commenting about how uncomfortable it is. And it made me think of the first Porsche I ever sat in. It was fancy, but not comfortable! So that made me laugh, but then Bond threatening her with the ejector seat, very off the cuff and showed their close relationship. They actually bonded and got closer in the DB5.
