I was co-flying the RAF Bulldog (before it was decommissioned) at the age of 14. One of the pilots was a heavy alcoholic (I should know, I'm a recovering alcoholic myself) and decided to dive at about 4000 feet and couldn't get the engine to restart after stalling. Then he told me to land the plane. Seriously, I thing the guy was on something other than booze that day. Luckily I've had about 30 hours flight time and was able to land - now that's when you shit yourself mate. Aerobatics are(is?) amazing though, you should try that, seriously!
My dad was in a Lynx during an aerobatic display, he was a cadet too. He wasn't strapped in properly and said he was hanging on for his life until the bloke with him sorted him out, only after soiling his trousers though
