every time I listen to videos like this (marcus aurelius or musashi) I start crying just because I realize how many of the things I take for granted, and how much time I have spent on useless activities. instead of bettering myself.
It's never too late to make positive changes in our lives, the very fact that you are identifying a problem in your life is the first step on a long journey of self growth and personal development!
I think it's okay to feel big emotions around it, but at the end of the day - 'do not spend too much time mourning a loss'. It says that right in the video!
just got this book recently and its helping me improve my life personally and professionally as a music artist, producer and audio engineer, thank you for breaking down the 9 principles of strategy, with gratitude, LaynoProd
This is truly wholesome and mesmerising. I've often struggled to understand the book of 5 rings. Your input is wholly enlightening. Please do inputs on the water and fire book explaining some of the techniques which may be applicable in modern martial arts and also the ever so abstract book of void. 🙏🙏🙏
7:21 this reminds me of a video I've seen of Mike Tyson, where he stares at his opponent and when they break eye contact or flinch, he is sure of his victory.
Definitely, this concept can also be seen in The Art of War, winning a battle before it has begun. Tyson has mentioned The Art of War before on different podcasts so perhaps this is where he got this idea. The Book of Five Rings and The Art of War have so many similarities so it all kind of comes together.
Men I hope Bruce lee use that time machine to quote on the book of 5 rings lol. Feudal era is far out from his time and country. Good quote about the Patrice
I had too listen too that final exert from Musashi a few times too take it in. There's a huge amount said there in few words. You could almost do a video breaking down that qoute.
You are absolutely right! A lot of my short analysis videos I have so far are topics I’d like to cover more in depth in the future! I’ll probably do another further analysis of the Book of 5 Rings at some point.
I am currently reading 7 Habbits of highly effective people, but as soon as I finish it The Book Of The Five Ring is next. I want to fully realize myself and be better person.
I think people use rigid styles because they fear they can't come up with anything themselves. Sure there are a few stubborn who stick to tradition, but in my experience people tend not to adapt because they have nothing.

Everything hes saying is Christianity.
It is also seen in many other religions as well.
Life lessons aren’t Christianity. I respect ur beliefs but the world doesn’t revolve around Christian beliefs or teachings.
