- It was about time I give my aquarium fish (tilapias) a little treat and I decided to get them LIVE GOLDFISH for them. The question remains, will my fish eat the LIVE GOLDFISH or will they become their new companions/tank mates.
Only one way to find out!

guppies are another popular feeder fish most places have a discard tank that the not so pretty ones go too they are much slower and smaller aswell so might be easier for him to eat
edit - fairly cheap as well and if they don't eat em u have some nice guppies to look at lol
I was actually looking for the feeder guppies, couldn’t find them.
Thinking of making my own feeder tank at home with guppies, all extras become feeders and the rest i keep lol
Any fish will eat other fish. Even guppie mums will turn around and eat a baby that just popped out. But tilapia are not predators as far as eating fish. Especially when stuck in tiny areas. Don’t feed them for a few days and it might change. But why?
My tilapias ate minnows when they were only a few weeks old. They will pretty much eat anything as long as they are hungry.
And why? Everyone needs a little treat once in a while lol
Goldfish are bad. A simple Google search will show hundreds of pages showing that.
And they clearly aren’t that interested.
I’ve fed live fish many times. But to predatory fish that are hard to feed. And yes minnows/guppies/platies are much better.
This is just for a TH-cam vid. The fish don’t care and it’s technically not good for them.
I’ll say again I’m not against feeding live fish. I guess I’ve had hundreds of fish killed by feeding them to others. So I’m not against it. But this is just for TH-cam.
And why have them in such small tanks? How is that fun to watch? They swim 6” one way 6” back the other. I just don’t get it.
