It's good that you are expanding out of where React etc sits. You are touching on some forever skills to me. AWS makes a lot more sense coming from bare-metal, networking is networking, Linux is Linux, IAM is just another identity manager. There's some vendor-ware all wrapped up in it but you won't be able to tell as you learn it. You learn a musical instrument and you can't help but learning music with it. So, some of these skills (like SQL) will probably pay for your whole life. So, good on you for expanding out the boundaries a bit. I used to keep a list of questions on my blog, just writing down where I left off on each T-shape. I end up going down some specialization and then stop (on purpose or not) so I would write down the questions I could see at that boundary. Then I had a list of questions. Many times, those questions didn't need answering or I would not come back to them in time. It's kind of nice to keep a list.
