I know this is imposible but it would be cool if various "XXXX Roll" boardgames are released and themed after differents videgames franchises, Like Mario, Kirby, heck even Halo, i think the mechanics can be applied to a lot of existing IPs.
Thank you for making a game that’s so true to the original Sonic. I haven’t been excited about a Sonic product since Sonic Mania so it’s dope to finally get a board game too. Buying this rn and I hope you get to make more content in the future :)
I love that Naveen had to continually remind Monique that "its a Co-Op"... Here's your third Badnik lol... I think the 'semi' aspect was really lost in there...
I really appreciate the descriptions of the rules as you played (and the notes you made when you made a little mistake). I ordered the game and I'm looking forward to bringing it to monthly game night next month!
Another general question this time: When facing off against the Boss, does the Boss hit space (where you have to place a die to damage it) count as a “Challenge” space? Asking since I’m playing this game with friends in a few days and want to make sure I get answers to questions that might come up.
Question about Solo Mode: If you draw an Eggman Mark/monitor Power Up, do you have to give the Badnik to yourself, or does it get discarded? Since in a multiplayer game, you would give the Badnik to another player.
I would recommend playing two-handed (two hero boards, alternating between turns) for solo play. Allows you to mitigate luck, as well as increasing the variance of the game. It makes it a little easier than true solo, though.
This seems like a fun time, but with the seemingly very different scores, and the very loose co-op aspect it might end up being a solo game of nostalgia!
That is true, the points are so high it seems like more than it really is. I wonder why they went with the larger point values instead of just keeping them single digit, hmm.
@@THEREDSSS98 yeah because in the original games any single Ring is worth 10 points when collected and every ring held onto by the end of the ACT would add 100 to your score! They simplify things to not be exactly like the games to avoid numbers above 999
1:21:02 On Monique’s very last (game-winning) roll, should she have lost all her coins because one of the die was a 1, and the Badnik on the left has a penalty for 1’s of any color? Or does defeating the boss with another die in that same roll supersede other penalties?
@@dkoudrinBut the Chopper Badnik on the left damages Tails when a 1 is rolled, and one of the three dice she rolled was a 1. Unless I am not seeing the card correctly (very possible, my eyesight isn’t the best haha😂).
I’m a lifelong Sonic fan so I think it is really cool this game exists but it does seem like there’s an awful lot going on. Can definitely see how many of the rules are directly inspired by the games though!
Grrr pet peeve is going off like crazy the amount of times I’ve heard the word “coins” is so dang irritating! For the love of Chaos it’s “Rings” this is Sonic not Mario!
lol yes, we lost sight of some of the procedures from time to time, which can happen when filming. Fortunately, we were able to point them out so that others can be informed. Hope it comes out in German soon!

Thanks for the video, great explanation! I'm the game designer for Sonic Roll. We had a ton of fun watching this, you guys were super entertaining!
Looks like a "blast". Gotta love Sonic!

@@juanangarita3179we do have a Megaman game ! But it is a different game system!
This game looks so cool! I hope additional content comes for it!

My copy was delivered today, cannot wait to play it. Great video!
Nostalgic for me , love your dice tray!
Thank you! Yes, nostalgic for us too =)
I really appreciate the teach and gameplay in one video. Very organized. Thanks!
Naven: Those coins are ring-like! Always so helpful :)
1.5h of fun and explanation :) Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This game looks awesome! I’ll have to pick it up!
What is the dice tray being used here? I love it!
DID YOU SAY COINS!
Looks pretty fun

This really helped me learn the game. It should be here in next couple of days. What are the odds of u both doing a knuckles and amy run?
Can you do a video like this on the game “Blast Tactics” next?

I only got ring tokens can I use those?

Since in a multiplayer game, you would give the Badnik to another player.
Someone must take a Badnik when an Eggman Mark is drawn, so in solo you would be forced to give the Badnik to yourself. Hope that helps!

lol the difference is like 6 rings xd. Super close actually

I think you only lose coins when you would take damage and none of the cards make you do that

@@HappyLight.Ah! Excellent, that’s right! Thank you for the clarification, that was eating at me haha
You can’t lose any “coins” in Sonic Roll (or ANY Sonic game for that matter…)
Should have rolled Hazzard die instead of doing the bonus area because of his badnik 1:12:00
Should have watched 4 more seconds lol. You caught it.
Haha 😂

Could you please do a playthrough on the game Operation Kindergarten? Seems like a theme which is unique.
😁
🙂👍
Lol it's a co-op game with friendly fire enabled.

Seems too long for such a light game.
Length of time is definitely added with all of our explanations but it can be longer depending on the decisions people make.
The game is really nice, can't wait for it to come in German. Sadly you made so many mistakes...
