the way he did the scream at 2:48 definitely sounds better than how he does it live back then because of his proper screaming technique now. NOT TO MENTION HE LOOKS WAY YOUNGER AGAIN like he never aged for the past decade.

Yes, it's incredible. Although his appearance of recent years looked sloppy and fat,
he had the advantage that his face/skin still looked pretty, there were no wrinkles, only that he had left himself. What a surprise to see what rejuvenated. How is this possible?! I thought he no longer intended to return to his former beauty. This man still has that.

@@leincin Kinda curious, how can u tell if a scream is healthy? and how were gerard's screams back then not?
@@partypoison8476 screams have a lot of type and requires difference technique, and the way we can say it's on the "proper" technique side has something to do with the stability and control of it (also "healthy" because we know Gerard wouldn't do those screams excessively, because that's usually the issue why some vocalists lost their ability to sing clean because of excessive screaming, even they used proper technique). Main answer is he wasn't stable with it before (those were his unhealthy living days anyway) unlike here. Really kinda hard to explain but it just sounded better in general.
G's voice has defo changed with age but I think his technique has actually improved after the years long hiatus. Excited to see them in two weeks
i agree. i actually think he sounds closer to the recordings here than at a lot of the old shows.
Also, he's in a transition period, he hasn't done this in a long time. He's getting thinner, his voice will get better aswell. Give him some time. I for one welcome the new G Daddy.

Me and my best friend loved this band and listened to their songs while going through the hardest times. My best friend was terminally ill and died. We've always planned to go to a MCR concert but he died and MCR announced their breakup soon after. I'm carrying the pain of this for over 10 years now and in 3 weeks I'll see them live for us, for me, to heal that wound in my heart and open a new chapter. I'll be so lonely but I'll have Gerard by my side just like I did for so many years.
I hope you don't mind I just wanted to say....we gain some hard-earned insights over the course of living our lives. One of those is that our most beloved never entirely leave us, what they were, what they said and did - I guess we could call that their essence - gets so deeply integrated within us that they inevitably become an indivisible aspect of who we ourselves become . And thus we carry them within, and they continue to have tangible and valuable input. One doesn't need to be beholden to any kind of religion or group to gain this knowledge, it just is what it is. Your friend will be with you on that day, there's no doubt about it. I'm so glad you're getting the opportunity, but it was obviously meant to be.

He lost a ton of weight for the tour. Also with him shaving he looks younger as well. Glad the concerts look fun. Hopefully you got to record more but enjoyed both of the videos if this was all.
It was probably harder for him to perform out of shape and it gave him a reason to get in better shape.

This is the only live performance (that I could find on TH-cam) where G actually screams the “fuck” part. He normally has the audience do it. It just makes this live performance so good! His screams are perfection.
