Beat this game in 96! This game was such a massive leap in 3d gaming!!! There has been no leap forward in gaming in 1 step as much as the 1st TOMB RAIDER! I was in awe in 1996 when it was released. Playing now is such nostalgia man. 28 damn years have flown by like a fart in the wind. ENJOY YOUR YOUTH....IT DOESN'T LAST LONG.
Hope you’re doing good in life Tartan these guide been helping me finally get through this game. No shame on using guides in 2024 for almost 30 yr old games 😂
I can appreciate folks like you for understanding that. I'm a first time player on this game too, and hate how they often hide important items out of sight. Some levels becomes a test of patience rather than trying to have fun. Makes me wish the compass actually did do something.
2:46 this was one of the best moments climbing there, greeted by the creepy face of the sphinx with the dark background. As good as the remaster was, it didn't capture the same magic because of the different textures and increased draw distance.
Correct, also don't like much how Remastered wants always show the skybox through the tombs, seems less claustrophobic and underground than original pitch black horizon.
I hate that f***ing mummy at 14:20. About 90% of the time, it's on me as soon as I enter the room and just keeps attacking me until I'm dead. Maybe 1% of the time I'm lucky enough that it runs away long enough for me to climb into the alcove so that I can shoot it the required 200+ times times with the pistols and kill it. I absolutely suck at combat in Tomb Raider. If I'm forced to fight an enemy on level ground, it usually devolves into me jumping around like a maniac, bumping into the walls and hoping that the enemy dies before I do.
@@lurkerrekrulDid not noticed your was an old message lol, i'm playing Remastered and i don't remember those ambush fights so steep, some encounter is mean!
Theres a glitch on the ps1 version. From 3:49 after climbing the pillar you can turn right and do a running jump towards where the iron fence is. Don't let go of forward and hold X, as you hit the iron fence straight forward Lara just passes through. (There's a specific part of the iron fence she can pass through)
Thats exactly how i passed this level on the remastered version i found it accidentally i didnt know there was the key behind the sphinx lol was looking everywhere for it
Doing a quick playthrough of a completed save file of the game on the PC these last few days. Watching your playthrough makes me think the enemies take more shots with my magnums than they seem to take you with only pistols. AND damage seems higher on me. Does the game up the difficulty when playing through on a 'new game+'?
Eu tô uma fazer um pouquinho estes dessa onde tá tudo com água e tem jacarés um pantera negra me matou e o jogo salvou e agora não consigo ir pra frente o que devo fazer?Estou jogando pelo celular comprei pela play store.
I have the Saturn version of the game and I can't understand why there's no zombie in the small room at 9:12 - is it because Lara didn't step on the tile to activate it (unlikely) or more likely that there's no zombie in the PS version - anybody know? The PS certainly has more pickups, easier enemies, and much clearer graphics!
Yes thanks, but in this video (above) Lara simply did the room in the conventional way, and on pushing the block away from the small upper switch room no mummy was triggered, so I still don't understand why not?
+SuperJeremiah333 I have this on the Saturn as well. Certain things were changed around for the Saturn. Certain places have Save Crystal points that the PS1 version doesn't have as well as finding certain weapons. I agree the graphics for the Saturn are very gritty and distorted. Part of the reason why, was because the Saturn released was rushed. I think they wanted it to be part of the launch titles.
As mentioned in the description section, mummies appear in the Sega Saturn and PlayStation versions. And in the remastered version, it seems to have been added to the PC version as well. We were also able to confirm this in fexinspect, so there are a total of Kills 15 in the remastered version. www.mediafire.com/view/arahdiadce19wdq/TR1_CityofKhamoon.jpg/file
Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced that this video doesn't go past 4:07? Just wondering since the clip stops at that time as if it's the end of it.
To be fair he's got a point. All it does is make the game take ages to complete since stuff dies so slowly. Most of the enemies, you're shooting from up high anyway. I saw you play Palace Midas, you didn't get hit once because every enemy was a joke even with pistols. The only enemy in this level that mattered was the mummy, which you cheesed anyway by standing on the sand heap.
Watching in 2024 for the remastered version. ❤
No one cares
Same here got stuck lol
Play the game
Same here ahahaha I can't remember from the Ps1 days when I was a kid I'm now 26 🤣
Same 💜
Always coming back to these because theres always just one little thing im not finding to keep going

This is a very unfair encounter (not the only one on that level)
@@incognitech3593 I've gotten somewhat better at combat since my original message.

Miss my those 💔 days love u lara
I'm amazed at the skill! I love this game and Laura isn't easy to control, but you do it like a pro!
Her name is Lara lol
@@MrGeewiz1 FML auto correct did that. I thought I corrected autocorrect's incorrect correction. I was incorrect.
At 9:13 a mummy dog popped out at me lol. Dammit, I just stood there and for pushed off the ledge cuz I reached over for trail mix 😑
You didn't end up killing two of those monster cat things, I was expecting them to just pop up behind you any moment.
City of kamoon is the entry of the Egyptian adventures
anyone knows what is in there at 11:29 and how to go back to the opened area?
It's useless, it leads back to the top of the pillar at 12:53.
To do so you'll have to go down from 15:16
Thank you, watching for the remaster! I needed a little guidance 😂
It's amazing what you can learn after a first playthrough.

Tomb raider 1 have the most powerful bosses in this 3 games for steam and xbox
HOW COME THERE WAS NO MUMMY FOR YOU AT 09:18 MY SOUL LEFT MY BODY ONE JUMPED OUT AT ME
The Sega Saturn version would be the only one with a mummy in that location.
I had a mummy attack me too here !

You use a lot of medikit and a lot of magnum, uzi and shotgun's weapom :DD
Only the retards and casual players use a wide range of weapons, but not true and great players, like tartancroft.

Dude, what's with all this jumping? Is this Tomb Raider 1 100% walkthrough, or just a quick jumpingthrough?
