Horton made me cry as a kid because of the idea of a universe so large it could contain others, full of huge beings beyond our comprehension. Still crying now.
I don’t want anyone to think I’m trying to discourage anyone from liking it. I liked it as a kid too. But it’s not a great movie and definitely not a good adaptation of the story. The beautiful thing about opinions is you can like something even if it’s bad.

"I've carved out a career in creating the taxonomy of the Eldritch horrors of kids films" is the best line I have ever heard of someone describing what they do for a living, and knowing he is actually serious just makes it 100% times better.
The fact that Katie is able to survive in space, float, and is shaped as a speck.
Is most likely signaling that Katie, itself, is theoretically a pocket universe itself.
Or more, a creator of pocket universes, a producer of “specks”, which is full of other Katie’s, creating more Katie’s infinitely, meaning the Katie shown in the movie might be a product of a larger, more incomprehensible Katie which might have been created by a larger Katie.
This might explain the lack of parents shown as well.

I mean, MatPat's pretty convincing to me but Theorizer's voice and the way he makes completely outlandish statements before thoroughly and fully proving them just makes my jaw drop (not saying MP doesn't prove his theories). I find both theorists funny and cognizant but MatPat's theories are admittedly more memorable for me (and I have a very shitty memory), even when he theorizes on something I've never seen and Theorizer theorizes on something I love.
I think she is the offspring of an old race of aliens who lost her parents by floating off in space after witch she goes on a quest to find her home spec. But on her way she goes on adventures on other specs and helps other races.
Plot twist she was sent there by an Evil race but hit her head and fell in love with the place.
What? No that's not what basically happened with Goku in Dragonball this idea is 100% original.

Both of them along with scrat and Gary all collide and form a dark universe edit:all four would all be killed in the battle in the would have enough destruction and death to destroy one universe and they all get killed by there own powers the match is a draw but it would create many races of beings made from there powers and a dark universe.
Well if Mort absorbs her into his pocket universe stomach or pocket universe with the other Morts, she could probably just *groans* back into the previous reality with everyone so that couldn't work to contain her. She could try to eat him, but one of two things could happen. Scenario one; Smart Mort comes out and finds a way to get out of Katie. Scenario two; Katie spaces out like with the bug and Mort just tumbles out.
I'd say it would be a draw as neither can be destroyed.

I'd like to see a theory on family guy. Specifically Rupert. Whenever Stewie talks with Rupert, it seems like he's having an actual conversation with someone, like answering questions and responding with something that makes sense to a response from Rupert. It seems kind of weird, and not like a regular imagery friend. There's something more than meets the eye
I watched the interview with the creators and apparently when Katie is holding up to clover she’s still standing on her four legs meaning she’s holding the clover up with a fifth leg.
The scene where Katie is in space could actually prove that Katie can control her own size, as during the movie she is smaller than other creatures on this spec on space, yet when we go to the space scene, she is shown to be the same size if not bigger than the spec she was just residing. This can therefore show that she has the ability to control her own matter and size, further showing she is a power above the jungle

Ok this legitimately horrified me. I never noticed those animation details on Katie when I was younger.
I think she might be ethereal or magical, but I don't think she's evil. Honestly, I think she's well-meaning and cute, but don't know how she comes off. I think she might be something like a protecter who enjoys those underneath her but can't relate. Comparing her to more is unfair, cause his name literally means death.
Cosmic entities are seen by us as evil because to them, We are but ants in an anthill that they play with. They are a whole other plain of existence beyond us, And once a small being such as us crosses the veil, Our mind dissolves into the insanity, for it cannot make sense of this ethereal plain.
Worse is, the theory is true, the writers confirmed it in the extras-

If Katie's parents are never seen with the other parents and Katie is a being that can create worlds & go to them at will, then there is a possibility that Katie's parents could be eldrich demigods that can control & create entire universes without anybody noticing without interacting with the other parents, in which they see as inferiors, but are still willing to transport their daughter to the planet where those parents live for her to learn about how they interact in order to hide among them while controlling her own universe before reaching the power of her parents. After Whoville was saved, Katie may have returned to the realm where her parents lived after seeing that the system of pocket universes has been kept stable through the continuation of the existence of Whoville.

I remember once I had a nightmare in which that… thing had clamped it’s horrible little jaws into my neck, squeezing harder and harder until there was a loud, wet popping noise and I immediately woke up.
