    We have to give appreciation to Callender. The number of high profile shots he blocked against LA is too good.

      They were strong shots, but they weren't good. I mean no disrespect to Callender, 2 of the saves were superb, but many were too easy giving the position of the attackers. Callender didn't even have to move.

    • @allenralph5233
      @allenralph5233 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      its his saves and penalty saves that are tops of MLS because to change to a goalie in a shootout instead of regular time PK that goalie has to already save 10 shots in the penalty rounds therefore no goalie is expected to be good at shooting on penalty kicks. it is in fact unimportant unless you choose your goalie to shoot in regular time as well. the reason it rarely comes up is because nashville sc played defensively to keep it close versus miami with their newer star players and so thats about how often youll see 10 penalty rounds in a MLS game.. has to be a playoff or championship game between two close teams that have to be close enough to go to tiebreak. so that skill isnt important for goalies because miami's main goalie is already the best tier at what they do which is save percentage also in pk and shootouts. just stating the obvious here i realize i repeated this.

    • @MikeLandwolf
      @MikeLandwolf ปีที่แล้ว +87

      Not massively but somewhat. Messi would still create chances. I think Jordi makes Messi a little lazy, leo knows jordi will run for a ball and tackle, defend, win the ball so he’s laid back and trusts his teammates while Busquets narrates and jordi is a work horse. It would be much more entertaining to see Messi alone with only mls players and see him giving his 100%, yeah they would loose but what a glorious battle it would have been on every match. Chiellini y Long ya no dan la talla y Sergi Palencia ha demostrado porque estaba con Leganes en la segunda de España (el segundo gol fue en parte culpa suya por no seguir la corrida de Alba). Necesitan urgentemente que Murillo recobre su forma despues de su lesión y de que Palacios no vuelve a faltar patridos. Sin Murillo y Palacios en el equipo titular, ya hemos visto como Monterrey, Charlotte, y ahora Miami, han podido vulnerar esta defensa con facilidad. Están también sufriendo las consecuencias de prestar el central juvenil Fall al Barcelona B, porque el fue clave en darle relevo a los viejitos la temporada pasada y se visilumbraba como titular para esta temporada. Pero se entiende que es una gran oportunidad para el joven y la opción de compra de $7 millones es algo que el equipo no puede ignorar.

    The solo run farias had at 56th minute, and the run messi had which led to the 3rd goal just shows how different his mentality is. He doesn't always look to score himself but creates wonderful opportunities for other players. The goat for a reason.

    • @donviajero2580
      @donviajero2580 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Farias didn't have a good option for a pass and he had a step on the defenders. He would have had to stop like Messi did and hope someone else was making a run. I think he did the right thing, except he should have tried to take the shot with his other foot.

      @@donviajero2580I disagree, at 4:08 there’s a split second where Farias gets passed the 2 defenders and Messi is just to his right.
      Messi’s in a perfect position to take a shot and is wide enough to where he won’t get shut down moving forward.
      I wouldn’t say Farias was necessarily selfish as he did have a good shooting opportunity. But Messi usually picks the pass in those Situations.

    Example of what makes Messi one of the GOATs is the Campana's goal. Perfect touches all in the 83rd minute! The pass he plays he knows his player, what foot he is, how he likes to score, his strengths... There has been some amazing individual players in Football (Soccer) but he's a goal scorer and a playmaker in one - there hasn't been another on that level.
