This was my first time watching Messi play live. I drove 5 1/2 hours to go watch with my dad and messi made it even more memorable with that goal.

The Inter Miami goalkeeper has been brilliant ever since i started watching this team during Messi's arrival. Puig looks great in the MLS
Puig has been inconsistent since arriving in LA. On his day, he looks like the best midfielder in the league, but all too often he´s gotten discouraged from playing on a such a bad team and simply disappears. The Galaxy do look a bit better this season, so maybe we'll see the great Puig more often.

Messi stands out so much, I’ve never seen him play live until yesterday, and if I find it amazing the way he plays at this age I can only imagine how he looked when he was young. Wished I could have seen him at his prime
You can see some of his best matches for free on TH-cam, I think many of his best clasicos are on YT for free.
He was inhuman, many described him as an alien, the greatest to ever touch a football. You really missed out, but thankfully TH-cam exists😅
Drake Calendar is as important as Messi to this team given their enormous defensive deficiencies.
I've been saying this since day one. He's played incredibly for the most part throughout the entirety so far of Messi's tenure with Miami. Incredibly reactive and twitchy, athletic and makes some great reads, has power, consistent, and clutch. I mean what more could you ask for from a keeper.

Miami's biggest weakness is their age. They need to be more explosive. I love Suarez and Busquets, but Suarez is not quick enough and Busquets gave away so many fouls + turnovers. If they are going to keep all these ageing Barcelona players in the starting lineup, they need some faster midfielders to compensate for it. Riqui Puig was phenomenal for LA.
And the perfect midfielder is redondo

I was there. Seeing him live is different. His sudden take offs he does happen so quickly and catches everyone off guard. It’s easier to see his moves on tv. Riquí played amazing. Cáceres ate Suarez all game. #2 I think he’s rb japanese for galaxy is really good. Reminds me of Jordi. Inter goalie was a hero today. Ref was blowing the whistle too much people were booing him. LA Galaxy's new DP's Paintsil and Pec are the real deal and literally just landed in LA less than 5 days ago. The Galaxy are going to wreck teams this year. They dominated this game. If not for the goalkeeper and Messi being Messi, Miami would have gotten obliterated in this game.
They should be much better in attack and their two new Japanese defenders looked pretty good. But the real test is when they have to play a team that is fast in transition. Teams like Dallas and Vancouver ate them alive last season and I don't see this Galaxy defense being any faster.

Painstil looked so good carrying the ball but his finishing is so poor. Puig dominated 1st Half created so many chances. LA Galaxy should have easily won this match by some margin, instead Drake kept Inter Miami alive and Jordi-Messi did their usual tiki-taka and saved the day.
Suarez, Gressel, Busquets made lot of mistakes and weren't decent.

The problem is that Tata is playing Gressel out of position as a No. 8 because they had to sell Gregore and Cremaschi is injured. Gressel is best playing on the wing as he's one of the best (if not the best) crosser in MLS. I think with Redondo coming in, we'll see Gressel playing more in his natural position.

I thought the officiating was poor tonight. It was too harsh towards both teams. The ref forgot players already had yellow cards??? He didn't see an offside flag for 10+ seconds and let play run on??? Completely incoherent, like an amateur. Made the first half way too choppy with a free kick every 2 minutes.
Props to both goalkeepers, they did some great stuff.
the ref was a joke for both teams. he had no idea how to keep the players in check, trigger happy with yellow cards, forgot players were already booked (WTF?), didn't see offsides for ages. terrible!
