    I miss my turns on purpose too, just to get extra riding time in. Lol. Great job addressing the hear issue! I will try this on my 1199R! ❤💪🔥

    So stoked with how this turned out. We have literally all but eliminated the heat from the Panigale. The engine is now running cooler and there is virtually no heat felt by the rider anymore. We have solved the Panigale heat issue. Help us create custom motorcycles! www.patreon.com/campisicustoms

    Won't lie, I literally drop what I'm doing, grab a snack, sit down and watch when I get that notification. This series continues to be great! Besides the exhaust, I'm super stoked about the swingarm suspension powder coating, will complete the bike's color scheme!

    This is the best Series of all TH-cam motovlogging. Still amazes me the great work you guys are doin'. I can't even win the bike (I'm from Spain), but I really hope that who's winning this awesome ride really needs it and can enjoy it, because it's 1000 times better than factory's.

    The reason to use Water Wetter is for doing track days. If it leaks on the track it doesn't make it slippery like PG. It also doesn't prevent freezing like PG.

    Hey Jaret, typing to you all the way from South Africa, huge fan, and following the Ducati custom build excitingly. While watching the video's you guys stressed that doing custom work isn't easy and can be frustrating which I fully agree, so, I had a brain wave yesterday and drew up a song you can sing when things get tough, it is based on the song, " Goodluck - taking it easy", and this song is called, "custom build - Jaret Campisi". Shout out to the crew helping in this build and look forward to more awesome video's".
    Look at us, working here, hoping the Ducati won’t disappear
    There is nothing like a summer breeze to take a load off Dado and me
    Dado survived the madness, he made it through, now Dozer there is only me
    And you
    It’s only me and you
    Chorus:
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi (Jaret Campisi)
    Jaret Campisi on ourselves
    Dozer not gotta do nothing for nobody else
    We’ll give it time
    And strip it down
    Even Christina is chilling out
    The grommets fly
    The bike fairings go
    We dazzled by Ducati while lying low
    Chorus:
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi (Jaret Campisi)
    Look at Dado
    Working here
    Watching the sun disappear
    There is nothing like
    Breathing in
    The fumes as it begins
    The temperature is high
    The beer is low
    Now Dozer there is only me and you
    It’s only me and you ohhh
    (4x)Chorus:
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi
    • Jaret Campisi (Jaret Campisi)

    Shame the panigale is so expensive yet has heat issues and as you can see from the video they're preventable :/ stop being cheap Ducati

    • @JaretCampisi
      @JaretCampisi  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      emudshit yea I actually agree. For $15k they could easily heatwrap these parts from the factory.

    • @emudshit
      @emudshit 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hopefully that new v4 will run cool, Ducati says on that one the desmo service intervals will be every 15,000 miles

    • @JaretCampisi

      emudshit yes I know the engine will be amazing but the leaked photos look like shit so hopefully they aren't accurate

    • @emudshit

    To get very close to 100% perfect, all that bike needs, as ALL road race bikes need, are adjustable height handle bars/clipons. Almost anything is possible & there fore could be designed to fit onto the forks or the top forks brace. Imagine riding the panegali on track & then adjust the handle bars to go home, to bring you more upright. No back problem & no heat......perfect.

    Jaret...Jaret. After watching this video I decided to do my own cooling treatment #DadoStyle (except the heat shield wrapping) on my 08 R1. Average gain...average was 19 degrees across the board. Engine temp dropped 41 degrees fan never came on. Bear in mind daytime Temps in Freetown are never below 27degrees C.
    Dado you rock
    What would Jaret say? I'm stoked. Haha.

  • @XPsychowaffleX

    Great results - nice work. Would be really nice to see what the heat shielding does on its own without the water/water wetter change. i.e. how much of the temp change was from the engine running cooler vs the heat shield deflecting heat. Maybe later in the season when you change the coolent bake to glycol? Impressed with your ability to get all that shielding on!

  • @albertosbrolla8424
    @albertosbrolla8424 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice work, but I would have changed the thermostat to a lower temp one. Also note, the stock stats are prone failing in the closed position causing the engine to overheat, the stat could be getting ready to go bad.

  • @tw1nair
    @tw1nair 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice work on getting the temp down. My Panigale 1299S suffers from warm temps. I wouldn't say it's critical to reduce them temps, but I guess any reduction is welcome.
    Having said that, you say you rode it harder and faster than the previous test. Panigale will remain cooler if ridden harder and faster.
    So I think you should do some further testing in a controlled manner :)

  • @MaddBaggins

    Question for ya: I've managed to eliminate most of the ass-burning from my Panigale but that rear head is still scorching the insides of my thighs if I'm not wearing track gear. What material did you use for the heat shielding on the head covers? I never thought to do the insides of those. I love the series by the way - my Pani is pretty built but you've given me a couple more ideas! Keep 'em coming.

    Guys thank you for this video! Definitely on my list of upgrades. 19 degrees cooler engine by just draining the top radiator! those are some great numbers. By running just water/water wetter, How much more could those numbers improve? Also in regards to what other bikes you guys should build, I personally would love to see a Ducati 848 Evo build. Got to love the single-sided swing arm. Love your channel!! "Saludos" from Mojave CA.

    how did ya manage to circulate the water and wetter without the bike heating up and allowing the thermostat to open?
    It needs to run at least 3-5 minutes before that happens....

  • @darkninja67

    Look into Engine Ice for coolant. Anti freeze, pre mixed and drops temps.
    Nice build series.

    • @DadoRados
      @DadoRados 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      William Kayal i ran engine ice in my r1 for half of a season (testing new product) bike ran hotter versus Redlines product. Water wetter went right back in!

    Seems to me the best way to run cooler is to push more air over the radiator so long as the return isn't already ambient.

    Love Dado and the way he says "radiator." 😂 Love the bum shots too! You dirty dogs 🐶. Impressive on the heat loss. I'm adding this to mine. What is the shielding stuff called? Shielding or Water Wetter? What do you guys think? Sounds like the Water Wetter made the difference.

    • @DadoRados
      @DadoRados 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Bramblett ThermoTec 24k heat shield and Redline Watter Wetter. Both work hand in hand to keep this bike much cooler.

    • @diemman70
      @diemman70 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dado Rados As an experiment I would have loved to see the difference between straight water and then Water Wetter and then the mix as per the bottle: 1 oz per qt. Then we would know if the claims live up to the advertising. Thanks for the video as this is one of the most fun rebuild series out there.🤘

    • @DadoRados
      @DadoRados 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Bramblett if we had all the time in the world that would be a great test i agree. I did much of this with my r1. But most average "Joe's" dont dump fluids at the end of riding season i just chose to do so bc im different and have very opinionated ideas when it comes to things. Thanks for watching!

      any water in an engine is bad

    • @JaretCampisi
      @JaretCampisi  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      we kept about half of the original coolant in there so once the water wetter and distilled water mix, it will not freeze :)

    • @eagle1333
      @eagle1333 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      but it will corrode sorry to say

    • @DadoRados
      @DadoRados 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      EAGLE 1 lets get this clear, Galvanic Corrosion could happen theoretically, in ANY altered environment but the amount of glycol AND watter wetter (both additives specifically formulated to keep an engine cooling system from developing corrosion) are in this Panigale. Your concern for the possibility of corrosion is greatly appreciated, but in this case disregarded.

    • @DadoRados

      Sammy Marquez staying with factory o2 and exhaust flap as well. Some have expressed concerns with being able to put bike back to stock so we are making it easier to swap muffler assy.

    Good job ,the heat shield is something Ducati needs to give some serious thought to.... Now if you really want it to be the coolest engine get rid of the WATER.... Lifetime coolant is the way to go fellas any water even distilled will corrode . solid life coolant no mix and no flushing no winter worries and will lubricate! no colonoscopy down the road.........
